Brilliant

Such an intriguing and useful concept, I cant wait to see them develop it further!

Great Effort

Shared it with some of the people i work with.

Here’s some issues I noticed:

1) Empathize. It’s that it’s quite hard to empathize with the characters on the screen. You just show up in the middle of nowhere and given a task with very little context and character development. Given time to immerse in that world, I felt my actions would be different.

2)Consequences. In real life you might not rudely end a convo with a possibly dangerous person while in the game you can freely do so with no physical or social consequences.

3)Eurocentric. Setting is in a western format. It’s even harder to feel immersed when you’re not from western culture. All kinds of lords and dukes that is completely foreign. A more culturally neutral setting would bring more accurate test results to non-westernized individuals, especially asian cultures which are more contextual given different social settings.

4)POV. Looking at the character from a eye in the sky third point of view, it’s easy to feel that you’re controlling a ‘Sim’ character rather than that character being yourself.

5) Gender. Even choosing the he/him pronouns I am still assigned to a female character. Another roadblock with immersiveness.

Summary: I felt too distant from the playable character to really feel that the actions I compel it to do are actually ‘my actions’. Thus made me doubt the accuracy of the results.

Stunningly clever

I’m an instructional designer and with a long history designing learning am always looking for inspiration that helps me develop my skill set so when I discovered scoutible I had to give it a whirl. Wow!
It has a few drawbacks... mainly that it is US centric and has a way to go with integration but boy is it good at what it sets out to achieve.

I like their roadmap and if all goes to plan I really believe this could be a game changer for anyone interested in gamified strengths assessment.

My one regret? I didn’t think of it first 😞

Strengths resume is a great tool!

Scoutible was able to calculate my strengths and interests spot on. The game was intriguing and I am amazed that it was able to gather so much accurate data in a modest amount of time. I feel confident that Scoutible will help match me with job opportunities that fit my interests, seek my skills, and value my strengths.

Great games... has potential

The first game was wonderfully made and I could see myself getting wrapped up in it. However, I must say that I do not see a correlation with the second game and one’s personality. Avoiding the traps seems to be a matter of strategy rather than intellectual personality traits. I think another interesting thing to add at the end of the two games once you receive your “Team” is to show the percentage of each people that get each different Team, as well as what all of the Teams are so people can explore why they get their Team and how it differs from others. Overall, a very interesting app that I am glad I spent 20 minutes on, and I believe it has potential to be much better in the future.

Both games uncover both cognitive and personality-driven differences in behavior, but that’s all we can say ;) We love your feedback about showing statistics on teams - consider it in the works!
