Fair play to them, their support is usually pretty quick to respond (once you find out how to contact them) and they have released a number of patches to fix the bigger issues, but they seem to only create new ones. For example the camera scan seems to be incapable of scanning ISBN 10s on a computer screen now. It’s never had that issue until this recent patch. Combine that with how clunky and outdated the UI STILL looks now and it’s honestly puzzling why they made these changes. How is it the previous version looked cleaner and more concise than the new version? The app worked perfectly fine before with almost no issues; updating it I’m sure has caused almost as much trouble for them fixing the numerous issues as it has for consumers dealing with the issues. A new coat of paint isn’t always the best option. **Developer response:** Unlike other similar apps, we continue to push new features. And for app development, there will be some issues. We are committed to fixing issues fast. You are using version 18.4. I would recommend updating to version 18.5.2, and you can tell it is much better than any other similar apps. ### 4/5 — New changes *2026-02-12* I’m having difficulty with this new interface, my scanning window looks very small I used to be able to zoom in on isbn numbers, now I’m not sure what I’m pointing at. **Developer response:** It is fixed in version 18.3. Tap the Settings gear icon, then disable some options to open the viewfinder. ### 4/5 — 4/5 *2026-02-12* Great app love it but the new update is not it. Definitely need better. The layout from the previous version was better, the new one the scanning camera is way too zoomed out and the screen background information could use some more tweaking to make it easier to understand. The sound for accepts and rejects come and go. If I go out to Seller Central and then back to Scoutly, the sounds is gone. Not user friendly when it comes to canceling ### 3/5 — Great App But Fail Code Has Been Popping Up *2023-04-12, version 14.2.3* I’ve been a subscriber to Scoutly for about 6months now. Never missed a payment but for no reason at all the Fail code 14 will pop up and stay for hours even days. Telling me I need to get a description even though I’m an active subscriber. I really appreciate the shortcuts on the scouting page that link to 3cmls, Bookscouter, etc Keep up the good work! ### 1/5 — Can’t even register *2022-11-18, version 13.16.10* Tried to sign up for an account and several errors that make no sense, waste of my time, Your response to my review was to waste more of my time with Support. No I’m good fix the issue so that I don’t have to waste time contacting Support. Errors are not my responsibility to fix. Now it only stays open on accepted scans. I also used to be able o use Bluetooth scanner while the quick scan screen was open. Now I have to close the quick scan screen to use barcode scanner. About to switch back to ScoutIQ. Fix this garbage. **Developer response:** Left negative feedback again because of one minor issue that is not convenient for you. It would be more helpful if you contacted our support team. This is just rude, and we will not consider it. ### 1/5 — Needs feature *2026-03-14, version 18.4* The bad thing about this if you’re a reseller is it doesn’t tell you if it’s a restricted item you can’t sell on Amazon or eBay ### 1/5 — It's constantly updating and constantly making mistakes. *2026-03-08, version 18.4* We go to work, we go to study, but the program keeps giving errors, it doesn't work, it doesn't read the camera footage, and these guys know how to withdraw the money at the end of each month. If anything is not as perfect as before, please contact us so we can be aware of your issue. ### 1/5 — Dishonest and shady *2026-02-13* I have been using this app faithfully since 2016. At first I did not get a subscription, but later on I subscribed to the lite plan. I used that a while and did the database download subscription a couple of times. They ran a sale probably 5 our 6 years ago. They had to options. They were both lifetime subscriptions with NO conditions. The database download, which twelve hundred dollars was already sold out. I opted for the lifetime lite plan. That cost me close to four hundred dollars, which I paid. And since that time Scoutly honored that purchase, UNTIL about 3 months ago. They stopped it and I emailed them and had a back and forth for probably a couple of months. They let me know, I cannot say his name the support person as that’s personal, but he kept going around in circles that I had purchased it, but I had to have a subscription in order to use it, to which I replied, I don’t need a subscription, I purchased the lifetime lite plan. He just kept saying the say thing over and over and over. That I had to have a subscription. This company and just being cheap, and dishonest. Don’t purchase anything from in this way for this is how you will be treated. Rather than do the right thing and honor I paid for fair and square, this is how cheap their company is. YOU want to use SCOUTIFY instead. SO far they have been fair and square to me and are a lot better than this service in terms of quality AND customer service. I like to invest my money in people I can trust. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. TURN AROUND AND GO AND GET SCOUTIFY. After a year I realized that they are still charging me. I sent mutliple emails, they said they have opened a ticket but I have been waiting maybe more than 4 months! Customer service is available when you are starting your subscription. After that they get disappear!
