## What is ScrapYard Garage?

Every car in ScrapYard starts as somebody's junk.

You buy a wreck off the yard, haul it home, and work out what it needs. Blown engine, shot suspension, brakes that stop nothing. Then you get your hands dirty, or you pay another player to do it for you.

DO THE WORK
A repair is a real job with a real skill check, not a progress bar you watch. How well you work it decides what it costs you and what the car is worth after.

OR HIRE A MECHANIC
Upgrades and tuning need a shop, so you open a work request and a player-run auto shop takes the job. Your money sits in escrow until the work is finished. Open your own shop and other people's cars start showing up in your queue.

RACE WHAT YOU BUILT
Take it out against other players. The result comes from the car you actually built, so every part that went on shows up in the run.

BUY LOW, SELL HIGH
Bid in the auction house, stock a dealership, work out private sales with other owners. Prices come from the people playing, not from us.

MAKE IT YOURS
Register it at the DMV, claim your plate, put a livery on it. It is yours on the title and everybody can see it.

ONE GARAGE EVERYWHERE
Your cars, your cash and your name follow you between the app, the website and our Discord. Same account, same garage.

ScrapYard is free to play. Running a business, underground racing and some cosmetic extras are paid. Everything else you earn by working for it.

- Your numbers keep up with you. Credits, cars, jobs, auctions and messages update on their own while you play, so there's no restarting the app to see what changed.
- Signing up is one flow in the tutorial: pick a username, set a password, enter the code we email you and you're in.
- Forgot your password? Reset it with a code from your email.
- Change your username or password, and link or unlink Discord, from Profile > Settings.
- A button you can't use yet tells you why when you tap it.
- The race screen counts the laps.
- Shop items you already own are marked Owned.
- Links to shops, dealerships, auctions and more on scrapyard.gg open right in the app.
- Plus a lot of smaller fixes across the garage, shops and races.
