## What is Screen Receipts?

Your phone kept receipts.

You know the number. You've seen the Screen Time report, swiped past it, and kept scrolling. Screen Receipts prints it instead: every app, every hour, line by line, with a total at the bottom you can't argue with. Then one of eight characters reads it to you.

MEET THE VOICES
Wake-Up Call, Coach, The Roast, Philosopher, Best Friend, Drill Sgt., Gen Alpha, and Sportscaster. Each has a face, a way of talking and an opinion about you. Stay under your target and your character looks proud. Hit a milestone and it celebrates. Have a heavy day and it looks shocked; scroll late and it gets sleepy. Every line on the receipt is written by hand and filled in with your own numbers. Tap a character in the Voices tab to hear it.

DRESSED FOR THE OCCASION
17 hats and 3 extras. Your character dresses for the holidays on its own: a chef hat for Thanksgiving week, a witch hat for Halloween, a crown on your birthday. Seasonal outfits can be turned off in Settings.

THE CLOSET
Days in a row under your target unlock rewards, from a bow tie at 3 to a crown at 100. Wear one hat and one extra at a time. What you unlock is yours to keep, even after a streak breaks.

THE WEEKLY CHALLENGE
Every Monday your character dares you to stay under on one day of the week. The morning after, your own record says whether you made it. Share your streak, or a challenge you won, as a story or a square: the card shows your streak and your target, never an app.

ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
Your character on your Home Screen, Lock Screen or StandBy, in today's mood and outfit, with a new line at every hour mark. Put it on your app icon too.

TODAY
Your day as a receipt. TOTAL DUE at the top, with what your pace adds up to over a week and a year. Then every app with its real icon, its time and its pickups, what a year of your top app would buy you instead, and, if you turn on Health, your screen time beside your steps. Swipe back through the last 14 days.

THE WEEK AND THE MONTH
Which day ran hot, your daily average, where your week went and what you could still have if you held your target. Flip to Month for the running month, labelled honestly as partial, or last month's closed statement.

IT WON'T MAKE THINGS UP
Screen Time only keeps a few weeks of history, so the app tells you where your current pace lands, not what you've already lost. On day one you'll see today, and it will say so. It won't project a year off a Tuesday or compare this week to a week it never saw.

THE COMPARISONS
Your hours, converted into things you could have done instead: 42 research-backed equivalencies, every one with a source, across 12 categories from Reading and Fitness to Cooking and Travel.

HEALTH CONTEXT
Optional. Steps and distance from any iPhone; sleep, workouts and mindfulness if you wear something that tracks them. Nothing is written back to Health.

NOTIFICATIONS ON YOUR TERMS
Off, Quiet, Balanced or Active. Alerts at 30, 60 and 120 minutes, an evening nudge, streak milestones and a weekly letter every Sunday at 7 PM, each with your character's face and its own sound. Off means off.

SIRI AND SHORTCUTS
"Show my receipt in Screen Receipts" opens today's receipt. "Show my weekly receipt in Screen Receipts" opens your week.

100% PRIVATE
Built on Apple's Screen Time API. Your usage never leaves your device. Not as a policy, but because it is read inside a sandboxed extension that cannot transmit it. No accounts. No servers. No analytics. No tracking.

PAID ONCE
No subscription. No locked features. No upsell. You bought the app; you have the app.

Your receipt is ready.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-11-01

Your Year in Receipts.

- From December 1 to January 15, open your year from Today or Settings. The cast takes turns reading it, one page each.
- Your days on record, the days you stayed under your target, your longest run and what it unlocked, every hour mark you crossed, and every day in one strip.
- Two pages from Screen Time: your last 31 days, app by app, and the year ahead at that pace.
- A card to share, as a story or a square. It counts days from your record and never names an app.
- Fixed: with a target between two hour marks (2.5 hours, 3.5 hours and so on), a day over your target could count as under it. Those days now count only when the marks can prove them, which can shorten a streak.

### 1.5 — 2026-10-31

The characters come alive.

- Six moods. Your character looks proud on a day under your target, celebrates a milestone, and gets sleepy when you scroll late.
- Outfits: 17 hats and 3 extras. Holidays dress your character on their own (a chef hat for Thanksgiving week). Turn Seasonal outfits off in Settings any time.
- The closet. Days in a row under your target unlock a bow tie at 3, a party hat at 7 and so on up to a crown at 100. What you unlock is yours to keep, even after a streak breaks.
- A weekly challenge every Monday, in your character's voice, judged from your own record the morning after.
- Share your streak, or a challenge you won, as a story or a square. The card shows your streak and your target, never an app.
- A weekly letter from your character, every Sunday at 7 PM.
- Notifications now carry your character's face and its own sound.
- Tap a character in the Voices tab to hear it. Put your character on your app icon from Settings.

Same receipts. More personality.

### 1.4 — 2026-10-30

Your character, on your Home Screen.

- Widgets for the Home Screen, the Lock Screen and StandBy. Your character keeps watch over the day: calm under your target, shocked as the hour marks pass, side-eye in the evening when the day ran hot.
- A new line at every hour mark, in your character's voice. Each widget can pick its own voice. Tap one to open Today.
- Fixed: opening the app could send you the evening notification right away. It now waits for the evening, and your streak no longer counts today before the day is over.
- Screen Receipts now needs iOS 26.

Same accountant. Now on the front desk.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-23

The Voices.

Your phone kept receipts. Now they come with a cast.

- Eight characters, one for every voice, each with a face that reacts to your numbers. A heavy day gets a shocked look. One day that ran hot gets the side-eye. The line beside the face matches the mood, so a shocked character reacts instead of handing out calm advice.
- A new look from top to bottom. Today, Week and Voices each have their own tab, and every receipt shows your apps' real icons.
- The weekly receipt is rebuilt: which day ran hot, where your week went, the things you didn't do, and what you could still have at your target.
- Month is now one tap away in the Week tab, for the running month or last month's closed statement.
- The Voices tab lets you read how each character would put it before you hire one.
- Siri: "Show my weekly receipt in Screen Receipts" opens your week.

Same accountant. Better company.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-28

A new icon: the hourglass receipt, on your home screen and inside the app.

Every number on your receipt now says what it counts. Your phone's total reads as your phone's, and an app's hours read as that app's.
