## What is Screen Snitch?

You've been on your phone for 3 hours today. Your friends have no idea. Screen Snitch changes that - hit your limit, and the app blocks you until you confess to them.

You've tried Screen Time limits. You dismissed every single one.
You tried going cold turkey. Lasted a few days.
You tried app blockers. Found the workaround in an afternoon.

None of it worked because the only person holding you accountable was you. And you keep letting yourself off the hook.

Screen Snitch adds real consequences.

Exceed your limit on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube - any app you actually struggle with - and your phone blocks it. No getting around it. The only way back in? Open Screen Snitch, type an excuse, and snitch on yourself. Your friends get a notification. Your excuse goes in their feed.

"Just five more minutes."
"It's for work I promise."
"No excuse, I'm weak."

Your friends will see whichever one you pick. And react accordingly.

Here's what you get:
• Set limits on your most-used apps
• Hit your limit - the app gets blocked until you confess
• Type an excuse and snitch on yourself to unlock 5 more minutes
• Your friends get notified and see your excuse in their feed
• Build streaks for every app you stay under limit on
• See who's winning the battle against their phone on the group leaderboard

Over a dozen people tested Screen Snitch before launch. The most common reaction: "I actually stopped because I knew I'd have to explain myself."

That's the whole point.

Download free. Add one friend. See how your excuses hold up.

### 5/5 — Loving it

*2026-06-23*

This app has been so different from all the others I’ve tried. It makes limiting my screen time feel like a whole new way to interact with my friends, and that’s what makes it so great. Plus, it makes me not want to just extend the timer or disable the lock. In short, I highly recommend it to everyone. Come on, let’s limit our screen time and actually liveee

### 5/5 — I thought I’d hate it, but…

*2026-06-22*

To be honest I was skeptical going into downloading this app after a friend shared it with me. It turns out that me knowing that I had said “I’m going to cut back on Instagram” but then going over my limit is basically impossible for me when I know I’m going to get grilled by my friends. Kind of counterintuitive, but has been a game changer for me (I’ve also been an early adopter as I was part of the beta, full disclosure)
