Unable to play on TV. Unable to AirPlay or screen share/mirror from phone to TV. What’s the point? Kept skipping and jumping between 5-10 seconds away then resume at normal pace then skipped again and again. ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE APP! *2022-11-24, version 2.9.10* This app worked for about six hours and then went all wonky by requiring codes I didn’t have and telling me I needed to make a new password when it originally said I was logged in. It was fine when it worked but then…it didn’t. ### 1/5 — Get a roku tv or forget it *2022-02-21, version 2.9.6* If you’re trying to get us to vote for your film, this is not the way. In fact, it’s a huge turn-off. This app logs you off while you’re in the middle of playing a film. It stops playing, loses your place, and then you have to cue it up to your place while playing on your phone, x out of that, and then go to the cast icon, and then play the film again. The cast icon isn’t even on the screen where you play the film. This happens repeatedly. With so many issues with the app, it would have been nice to be able to cast from the website on your laptop to the tv. All the other screener sites do that. The roku tv app is great, but that was on my personal tv. I couldn’t watch this properly with family on the livingroom tv, which is not a roku tv. These app programmers shouldn’t be doing this for a living. Seriously, find a new career. ### 1/5 — Screener app won’t accept my SAG AFTRA code *2022-02-15, version 2.9.6* i put my email and SAG screener code and it failed , who is the developer who built this ? The people who built this app oughta be ashamed of themselves and SAG should find another platform to deliver their screeners. Any app that’s supposed to deliver a streaming experience needs to keep the stream going. This app, playing on an Apple TV 4K, with plenty of internet for streaming a 4K picture, goes to black randomly and forces you to step out of the movie to re-“cache”. You will tear your hair out trying to watch a film uninterrupted. It’s an awful experience and practically sacrilegious for a movie-lover. For shame, for shame! ### 1/5 — Frustrating *2022-01-30, version 2.9.5* While I love watching the nominated performances, it is hard to fully enjoy these movies because the app logs off at least 3-5 times a movie. I am using chromecast so I can watch it on my tv, but multiple times a movie the screen goes black and I have to close the app, re log in, and then try to fast forward to where I was in the movie. I hope they get this fixed or find a new app by next awards season. ### 1/5 — Drops every 5 minutes *2022-01-25, version 2.9.5* I tried watching a 2 hour movie and it took 3 hours because it would drop from the cast every few minutes. I feel like the movie lost its magic and I cannot fairly judge it. Lame. ### 1/5 — Imagine being in the DGA Theater… *2021-12-31, version 2.9.5* …and the film in the projector breaks every 5 minutes, 10 minutes, then works up until the last 5 minutes of the movie. The projector at that point catches on fire and the theater is evacuated. Won’t allow screen sharing from your phone (which was the ONLY way I was able to play the movie.) Ugh!! ### 1/5 — An Insult to Film-Makers *2023-12-31, version 2.9.23* Having the watermark constantly on dead-center in the upper third of the frame throughout the film makes it unwatchable for me. Like looking at a film through a storefront window. Distracting and destroys what the willing suspension of disbelief to be reading that with every camera move or cut. If I were the Cinematographers Guild, at least, or DP I’d contractually disallow the practice. On the old DVD’s it was Ok that the watermark would on occasion and by no means often… randomly fade in briefly and quickly go away. Surely you can do better?! ### 1/5 — Studio: DUMP this unsuccessful app. *2023-02-04, version 2.9.16* I can’t vote for you if I can’t see your product. I make it a point to watch all nominees in a category I vote in; now I’ve added an exception for unavailable content, so you’ve pulled yourself out of the running. I wasted enough time to watch a feature film, and seen NONE of your content. Studio, you’ve handicapped yourself. Now go explain to your actors how they would have won, if only the voters could have seen the work. Poor consolation. Discs, or the perfectly valid apps the other studios use. There is no excuse. Bad system ### 1/5 — Love it! *2023-01-30, version 2.9.16* I love screener passport. It’s clean and easy to use. I can watch all my screeners on any device and haven’t had any problems. I know someone else said they couldn’t get it on Apple TV but maybe that is an issue they fixed because I could. I only wish that SAG would put all the screeners on this platform.
