The only option I’m given as far as what kind of device I want to add is a school monitored one. Am I missing something? I read through the description before downloading and did not see if this is strictly for school devices and if it’s not, how do I select something different? I’m not sure if anyone will be able to respond to this or not but I would very much appreciate some clarification please. Also, I don’t know how to rate this, seeing as I haven’t been able to utilize this app at all yet but taking my confusion and the user friendliness in consideration, I’ll give 3 stars. We have tried several things to fix it however nothing seems to work and we can’t seem to find any contact information. Disappointed and frustrated! ### 2/5 — App not reliable. Too many glitches *2018-11-27* This app has been glitchy from the start but I gave it more than 6 months. There were sync errors, and many other glitches. Getting customer support was terrible for weeks until I finally got someone who spent 2 hours with me (yep, 2 hours) and I had to re-set my daughter’s phone TWICE. And finally it seemed to work for a few months (mostly) - there always seemed to be some sort of glitch (like if I cut off her time it would take 20 minutes to register on her phone that I had done it). Right now, even though my daughter has plenty of time on her phone and it’s not scheduled to turn off yet for bedtime, she can only use 4 apps (as if she has run out of time or it’s past her bedtime). And when I tried to submit a ticket to customer support doing that glitches out!!! It literally erases the ticket and gives me a url to nowhere. Oh, and there is a very easy way for a savvy kid on an iPad to get around the time restrictions (especially if they’re using apps that don’t require internet) - just turn off wifi and the device can’t connect to screen guide so time doesn’t count. So that’s it, I tried but it’s just not worth the hassle for an app I have to pay $30 a year for. When it worked it was just the thing but frankly it is unreliable and glitchy. ### 1/5 — Looks like their servers are down *2018-11-27, version 2.5.1* Come on. There’s no way to unlock the phone. Even after trying to unlock it, it’s not working. Please fix this. We filled out a ticket explaining this problem. ### 1/5 — Almost completely useless *2018-11-10, version 2.5.1* I thought this app was great until i discovered that all my son has to do is exit wifi, or turn wifi off, in order to have unlimited time on the phone. He now uses almost all his time then simply toggles off the wifi and continues gaming indefinitely. Or, he turns on his time and then when he leaves the house wifi enroute to school, the phone works all day until he returns. This pretty much makes the app entirely useless. I can set schedules, allow certain apps only and even give my teenager the freedom to choose how he will use his allotted 2 hours per day. I wanted to limit screen time for my kids without paying money and this app allowed me to do just that. I’ve looked at other parental apps but to add more than one child you have to pay. Stops kids overusing their iPads immediately *2018-04-20, version 2.4.0* This is an amazing and free app. You don’t need to buy a subscription but it automates certain tasks you would otherwise need to do manually. Using this app has cut my kids’ screen time down drastically (from 2 hours a day down to 30-15 minutes) and I haven’t even begun to use the many other features. Install it on your kids’ devices and also your own so that you can control their devices with a flick of a button. It takes a bit of getting used to but once you understand how it works it will (hopefully) help avoid all the tensions parents and their children experience regarding the (over) use of iPads.
