### 4/5 — Super handy

*2015-08-09, version 3.2*

We have airline pilot manuals that contain thousands of pages but I need to be able to look up some things in a few seconds. This app is really practical to make a few screenshots of pages and assigning tags to them. I am also very happy that there is a syncing ability via dropbox. In other words: a real timesaver!
Two more features I would like to see are the ability to add folders and the ability to synchronize with Evernote. thanks in advance!

### 4/5 — Almost There!

*2014-06-26, version 2.11*

Great app, works as expected. Hope to see Batch tagging, delete, etc. It's painstakingly annoying to go back through 100+ screenshots one at a time. As other mentioned DropBox integration, would be nice, but not necessary, since the DropBox already natively does this.

### 4/5 — Nice start

*2013-05-26, version 2.11*

Very helpful app. Would love to see: (1) option to remove photos from library on import so I don't have to do it manually (2) allow for tagging of multiple shots at a time. It's too time consuming to tag many items (3) Dropbox integration. Cheers!

### 5/5 — App Great, Customer Service PHENOMENAL

*2013-01-27, version 1.4*

It's critical that I have the ability to have all my screenshots in one location, and this app does the trick. I had an issue whereby my screenshots were no longer saving, contacted the developer and within hours I had an answer and a solution. Couldn't be happier with the app and the service!

### 4/5 — Hoping for more features

*2012-12-15, version 1.4*

This app has great potential, but I'm hoping they will add features to tag and categorize screenshots. The visual design is gorgeous, and the app functions exactly as described. I hope the developers will continue to extend its functionality.

### 5/5 — It Works!

*2012-12-12, version 1.4*

This app is a pleasure to use. It is often the only way to make a copy. It is easy to use and to maintain screenshots. The ability to organize shots into folders would be helpful. Thanks for a great app!

### 5/5 — Great

*2012-11-14, version 1.4*

Would be nice if it could separate the different screenshots and group them, like screenshots of texts, web shots, etc. But it does what it says. I currently have over 4,000 items of various screenshots ill have to go through and group into a various applications.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2012-07-27, version 1.3*

It is great when you have a need and search for an app and find a well thought out and designed app. Thank you. The only enhancement I wish is that I could view by date instead of just by the month.

### 5/5 — Wonderful tool, but needs organizational feature

*2012-07-25, version 1.3*

It really needs a way to organize my screenshots from different apps, i.e., with tags or folders. Check out the excellent Mac app LittleSnapper to see the ideal example of what this app should be!

### 4/5 — Daily Usage

*2012-07-17, version 1.3*

The concept behind "Screenshots" is brilliant! I take pics of everything from receipts to recipes to political cartoons and I now have a place to corral them and to achieve a semblance of order.
It would be wonderful if the ability to create folders or notebooks was added in an upcoming fix and/or offering of a cloud storage option.
Keep exercising your "little gray cells" as you fine tune this app. Looking forward to more great ideas!

### 4/5 — Generally useful, would love more organizing / sorting tools

*2012-07-13, version 1.3*

Some other reviews have mentioned it, I will too: would love to tags screen snags, sort perhaps by day rather than just month. Also, bigger thumbnails. I'd REALLY like to import a screen snag, then remove from camera roll but keep it in the app. (I prefer photos only in my photo stream.) good app overall though. I look forward to future versions.

### 5/5 — Very Useful App...

*2012-07-10, version 1.3*

I take a lot of screenshots and really don't want them in my photo album. This app easily takes care of my screenshots, and I don't have to deal with it myself. It does exactly what they say it does! And it has a beautiful UI which makes the experience nicer and more enjoyable! Cloud syncing would be nice but honestly, I need them on my phone more! I've had NO crashing issues at all. I see so many people give low ratings because of crashes, and it's NOT the app's fault! Firstly, try REBOOTING your phone, then close down apps that are running. If that doesn't work, contact the developer, and let them try to help. They usually do respond quickly and they do help! Then rate the app!

### 4/5 — Useful

*2012-06-23, version 1.2*

Great app to extract screenshots from your phone library. It could use more organizational features (folders, labels, etc). Also, I have had some quirky behavior (bugs?) like not being able to star certain pics.

All in all, a very useful one-of-kind app.

### 4/5 — Needs folders, otherwise great app!

*2012-06-19, version 1.2*

I use screen shots so frequently, and for such a broad range of purposes that is not uncommon for me to have more screen shots than photos on my camera roll.
Until now, sorting through them one by one, deleting the ones I didn't need and exporting the ones I wanted to save was a huge hassle no matter how I went about it.
This is the kind of app I like to see; one that addresses these small inconveniences that, added together, end up needlessly wasting so much of our time.
I agree with other reviewers that features like cloud storage or dropbox sync would be extremely helpful, and adding an organizational systems such as folders is an absolute must. I notice some crashing/stability issues when I'm trying to scroll quickly through large numbers of images in thumbnail view,
As it stands, I've already recommended this app to at least a dozen people. If the suggested features were incorporated ScreenShot Journal would be one on my most used apps. Genius.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Don’t work.

*2020-12-10, version 4.0.1*

Fixed crash on launch, but won’t recognize anything. Useless
as is.

**Developer response:** Go to settings and enable auto import.

### 1/5 — Does Not Work

*2020-11-26, version 3.51*

App hasn’t worked since I got the iPhone 11.

It does not recognize any screenshots. I have to manually add photos, which defeats the purpose of this app. I mean iPhone photos app has a screenshot album.

**Developer response:** The new update should fix that.

### 1/5 — Only works with really old iPhones...

*2020-01-03, version 3.51*

Not sure if they are ever going to update this

**Developer response:** I’m working on it. New update should be out soon.

### 1/5 — I suggest not purchasing right now…

*2012-07-13, version 1.3*

This is a solid concept for an app. This version crashes all the time. It crashes every time I manually import any resolution screenshot.

There is no way to directly control the zoom level: it jumps to arbitrary zoom levels, even though the app can clearly render the zoom level I *want* to see; It works fine (and appears correctly) until I lift my thumb. Then it jumps from 120% to 200%. Ick…. Then, too often to ignore, crash.

### 3/5 — Looks like a great idea however no photos load

*2024-01-01*

Unsure why this is the case

**Developer response:** Go into settings and enable automatic import.

### 3/5 — Fantastic!! ... But..

*2012-10-13, version 1.4*

Love the app and have been happy with it but even after the newest update it wasent working . So I re downloaded it and its still not working right and as well will not download the newest one and stays with the 1.3 and not the 1.4 please fix!!! I love this app an would be very sad if I have to delete it permanently ...

### 3/5 — Good idea. Needs work.

*2012-05-29, version 1.1*

This is a good idea. Separates screen shots from pictures. Badly needs folders to segregate projects. Needs ability to pick screenshots from photos for import. Imports unneeded screen shots (in my case hundreds). Needs ability to print all or part of folder/project to printer or email in PDF. If it only prints individual shots instead of projects, you can already do that from photos. Would be a great way to update a progression on website changes to managers/staff.

### 3/5 — Huge limitation

*2012-05-01, version 1.0*

It only imports from the Film Roll. If you've already organized the images into another event or album, they can't be seen in the app. It will be good for future shots, but not for my many past ones. This really should be fixed - even if simply through a manual import option.

### 3/5 — Good start

*2012-04-29, version 1.0*

Okay, this is a great start. I really need an app like this in order to separate out my screenshots of my regular photos. However, there are a few missing a much needed features. For one, I would like to be able to view screenshots as a slideshow, not just one at a time. Secondly, it would be great if you could multiply select screenshots in the app and then delete them. As it stands now you have to delete one at a time. This slows things down.

And most importantly, this app needs a way to quickly export screenshots to say to dropbox or back to the camera roll when you need to use them in some other capacity.

Despite my suggestions, I really appreciate the developers for creating this app. It is much needed for designers and writers who take a lot of screenshots.

### 3/5 — Great start!

*2012-04-27, version 1.0*

Just downloaded this app and it looks very slick. I love that it automatically imports photos.

Two things I immediately desired are:
1)the ability to auto delete photos from camera roll that were imported.
2)some photo editing options. (specifically rotate. Took a screen shot in landscape but the screen shot appears in portrait so when I rotate the screen, the image flips sideways again)

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Purge Screenshots!

*2019-01-27, version 3.51*

I dislike screenshots in my Camera Roll. This app let's me remove them from the Camera Roll, gives me a screenshot only collection view sorted by device, and lets me back them all up to Dropbox.

**Developer response:** Yeah!

### 5/5 — An Amazing Utility Marches on to iOS 10!!

*2016-09-13, version 3.5*

Screenshot is indespensible to me, particularly now that I am able to store screenshots away from pictures and then remove screenshots entirely from the photo album.

The Dev thought of a lot of neat features that keeps this app at the top of my list of applications that do not get removed from the phone. If you find yourself trapping screen information for later use, get this application. It will not let you down!

### 5/5 — A must if you screen shot a lot

*2016-07-01, version 3.5*

The absolute best way to clear your camera roll of all those screen shots you've collected. The option to organize them all makes this app invaluable.

### 5/5 — Better than working on a Mac

*2016-03-02, version 3.5*

If you take screenshots on iOS for any reason, Screenshot Journal is your new best friend. This is such a better way to collect and organize screenshots for any reason you might have.

You can actually organize your screenshots and clean them out of Photos so your *photo* library can focus on your memories, friends, and family. Get it.

### 5/5 — An essential design tool. Perfected.

*2015-10-06, version 3.3*

A while ago, when I first downloaded this app it seemed like a cool concept, but kind of missed the mark. I just started using again though and it seems flawless now. Definitely one of my many essential design tools. I love it. Good job!

### 5/5 — I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A GOOD ONE

*2015-09-09, version 3.2*

Finally I found a screenshot app that actually works. I've tried other apps and they just cant seem to get it right. I just got this app and I already can't do without it. I want to thank the developer for the awesome work.

### 5/5 — Finally able to remove

*2015-03-09, version 3.2*

My #1 feature request has been added and I’m so HAPPY—you can delete screenshots from your phone once they’ve been imported. THANK YOU!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2015-02-07, version 3.2*

I often need to find screenshots while developing apps. With this app, they are nicely organized, and I don't have to scroll through hundreds of photos of my kids to find them. Well designed, easy to use.

### 5/5 — ✪✪✪✪✪

*2014-02-09, version 2.11*

So challs! Going through screenshots in my camera roll used to be such a drag!!! Now I just launch the app and BOOM they're all easy to find in one handy location. And wow you can zoom the images really far and they don't get blurry!

### 5/5 — Screenshots

*2013-06-02, version 2.11*

I LOVE this app! As an art teacher with no classroom Internet, I've been using this app to get screenshots of artwork/examples. Being able to access those images offline has been the best teaching tool ever! :-) Also, the ability to tag images has made cross referencing a breeze!
