I want to see the full list of photos and drag over multiple photos to bulk select entire lines, allowing me to skip images I’d like to keep. Much like how deleting images works in the apple photos app. The current UX means I have to still tap one by one which photos I’d like to keep after “selecting all”. so it gets the job done but its still tedious ### 3/5 — Sorting not working *2021-09-13* I used to use this app for deleting large videos due to there is a very intelligent way to sort the videos by size. Works BUT Avoid large live pic deletes *2019-12-01* Did couple of tests and things were fine. BUT trying to delete 6000 Live Photo videos crashed the app and deleted all my pics!!! Was able to undelete them thankfully but still problematic as real Deletes were mixed with App failure. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t preserve order *2018-12-10* Downloaded this to remove live versions, but all it does is “duplicate as image” (creates a new image, dated today, at the end of your photo roll) which is already available in iOS. Apple says “refund not available” **Developer response:** Hi, when you tap on Live Photos, the app only removes the ‘Live’ portion of the photo. The photo stays as in hence you will see the photo available in the camera roll. Maybe we will add an option in the future to delete only the Live portion of the photo OR delete the entire photo along with the live photo. ### 3/5 — Would be good if it worked. However, it is still on my App Store's Purchased section and needed to be updated. Tried to update it, but it crashes. I've deleted it a month ago and I'm shocked that it still have access to my phone! Help!! **Developer response:** Oops that’s strange. We have updated the app with a bunch of tweaks. Can you download the latest version and check if the problems still exist. ### 1/5 — What a Waste!! *2017-12-01* I downloaded this app, forgot about it for a couple days, then went into it. After the opening screen came up I couldn’t even remember what this was “supposed” to do, and the main screen offers no hints. Some people talk about “Options”...I couldn’t find any “Options”, other than the selection option once it finally “discovered” a few of my 9,000+ photos. I was hoping this might offer some help with duplicates, etc, but no luck. I have over 350 screenshots, but it didn’t identify ANY of them; of my 9k photos, it identified about 24. I don’t like app creators who have to act like “artistes” and think it’s somehow “chic” to fail to offer tutorials, FAQ’s, instructions; instead just present a minimal screen and act like anyone “worthy” was born with the necessary knowledge to maximize utility of their artwork. If you use iCloud, don’t waste your time with this app...it won’t recognize your photos as photos. If you dig far enough down in the verbiage in the iStore it will mention this. **Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. We will work on the app to make it even more easier and simpler to understand with better onboarding and tutorials. Most of our users love the simplicity - but you are right, it has to functional to a wider audience and not artsy. In practice, it means I can take photos for months without being forced to review / delete them. Furthermore, my iCloud backups are like 50GB, so Apple is constantly trying to sell me more storage. I already pay for Flickr to auto back-up my camera roll, so Screeny is the BEST app to quickly delete photos / videos. This let me clean out many of them, recovering a lot of space. An obscene number to be honest. This app is a great way to bypass scrolling through my camera roll to pick out the SSs sprinkled in between the actual photos I have on my phone. Could I have saved my 99cents and just taken the time to select them manually? Sure! -but then if I had my life in order enough to keep up with the volume of SSs I take- I wouldn't be that lazy girl who would rather take a screen capture versus writing that information down, so- the $1 was well spent in my opinion.I enjoy knowing how much space I've freed up deleting these pics en masse- perhaps seeing how many unnecessary pics I've deleted will eventually teach me to take fewer SSs?? ....
