## What is Scribe?

Turn what you say into something ready to read.

Scribe turns speech into text on iPhone and iPad. Dictate a message with the Scribe keyboard, draft an email, or capture a thought in the app and copy it wherever you need it.

WRITE WITH YOUR VOICE
Switch to the Scribe keyboard where third-party keyboards are supported. Activate the microphone, return to your app, speak naturally, and tap the checkmark to insert your words. Keep a full keyboard for the moments you want to type.

CHOOSE HOW IT READS
Original keeps the transcription without an extra styling pass. Natural lightly cleans it up. Casual gives it a relaxed texting feel. Concise trims repetition and wordiness. Polished smooths grammar and flow. Your saved style stays in sync between the app and keyboard, with an example in Settings to help you choose.

MAKE NAMES FAMILIAR
Add names, acronyms, and terms to your personal vocabulary to help Scribe recognize the words you use.

KEEP YOUR IDEAS CLOSE
Dictate in the app, copy finished text, and return to recent dictations stored on your device. Delete individual entries or clear your history when you choose.

GET STARTED
An Allowance account and Scribe access are required. Accounts awaiting access can join the waitlist in the app. Dictation requires an internet connection and microphone permission; keyboard dictation also requires Full Access. Some apps and secure fields use the system keyboard.

With your permission, dictation audio and personal vocabulary are sent to Allowance and OpenAI for processing.

Scribe, by Allowance.
