Even if their slant is noticeable and their Temu versions of anchors. HOWEVER, the app is garbage. It fails to work on my Apple TV. It opens and then just stays in loading screen. I am forced to watch it on the unreliable Pluto TV. Or have to switch it to my junky OTA antenna. ### 2/5 — From favorite app to junk *2024-04-25, version 7.6* This used to be my favorite news app if not to say my favorite app on all my devices. I would open it before work at lunch and in the evening. That is, until the app was updated this morning and is rendered useless. I no longer have a feed of trends that I can quickly go through to the segments of interest. Seems to be a messy mix between articles and video streams. But these are not articles I wish to watch. So what it’s going on? The first thing I have to do is to deleted all the unwanted articles to make room on my watchlist for articles that I wish to watch. Always the same stories, yawn! ### 3/5 — Solid, but… *2024-02-08, version 5.0.5* The coverage is fine. As long as it is unbiased, that’s all I want. I want facts, not opinions. The problem I have is that every single time I get a notification and want to read the article that the notification is addressing, it opens the article in a browser instead of in the Scripps app. It’s very annoying. I have a hearing problem, so I am having a hard time understanding what is being said. I would appreciate it if the stories could be written. I say yes, it downloads, but freezes at the point asking me to pick 3 important things to me - no choices are shown and the app is non responsive. I really find it hard to believe your programmers want to limit your audience to only the most latest version 16 users. My version 15 phone isn’t that old. Offering to download an older version of your app is not working. Why so much old news. They still had top news stories about Florida and the coming hurricane which they posted yesterday, August 4. Today is August 5. So why do you do it in your app? It was my go to news source. New the recent up in it’s new form Scripps is HORRIBLE!! The navigation is difficult, there’re is now autoplay, commercials are everywhere and it ruins the experience of just listening to the news. Use Reuters instead. The app has gone from 5 star to no stars ### 1/5 — I used to like Scripps News *2024-06-04, version 7.6.1* I no longer enjoy Scripps news. It is so buggy. Way too many ads that sometimes repeat 3 times. Very annoying. I used to love it but no more. I found they report the news as it happens with no bias overtones. I’m one who doesn’t need to have one certain news program on to function. I find the political news is news not a “circus” event. The national Reporting is nice to have as it is news. She just wants a honest, distilled report of what’s happening. This reporting is exactly that. From what I can see the reporting/interviews are straightforward with the reporter NOT attempting push any agenda. Best news content in an app. Balances national and world perspective. Reporters are allowed to tell the story, and presenters ask thoughtful questions. When the anchors interview, they ask difficult questions and follow up.
