### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-06-08*

I used to use cold read but hated that it would miss my cues, this app is so much better at recognizing lines. Its also cheaper than cold read

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2025-05-22*

This app is amazing for my acting friends and I because I work in the industry and help my friends with audition tapes all the time. Having an app that formats your scripts into a readable interactive format makes the whole process super easy. If you have a lot of movie or advertising scripts to read and audition for this app is a game changer

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-19

Manual mode: advance through your scene by tapping or the new Back/Next buttons — no speech recognition needed.
Teleprompter now follows what you actually say instead of just counting words, so off-script chatter can't skip it ahead.
Also: fixed the screen occasionally sleeping mid-performance, faster tap-to-skip response, and the Perform Scene options panel now starts collapsed for a cleaner view.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-28

This update fixes two issues:

Fixed a bug where trimming dead air from a recording could get stuck looping a fraction of a second of audio instead of playing the line.
Collaborators with Record-only access can no longer use Dictate to change a line's text — Record now stays limited to attaching audio, as intended.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-26

Perform Scene
• Recordings now trim the dead air at the start and end of each line automatically (toggle in Options)
• Tap the scene to skip a delay, recording playback, or listening wait
• Redesigned Start/End markers with clearer drag handles
• Perform Scene settings are now remembered per scene

Dictation & Recording
• Dictate is now its own button, separate from Record, so you can fill in a line without recording it
• Record and Dictate respond instantly when tapped
• Dictation stops automatically after a few seconds of silence
• We now confirm before you dictate over a block that already has text
• Fixed a rare issue where the start of a recording could get cut off
• Fixed a bug where a recording could go missing after opening a shared scene on another device

Sharing
• Sharing a scene is now free — Pro is only needed to record or edit
• Clearer progress while recordings upload during sharing
• Share Scene now loads your friends list faster

Import & Organization
• AI Import is now the recommended way to bring in a PDF script, with a visual page picker for up to 5 pages
• Added Copy, Edit, and Rename to scene menus
• Friend lists are now alphabetized
• Saving a new scene now opens it in view mode

Reliability
• Removed the persistent "offline" banner — you'll only see a connection message when something actually needs one
• Fixed false "no internet" errors after resuming the app or on the subscription screen
• Fixed a bug that could block creating a new scene right after unlocking your phone
• Fixed a crash some devices could hit after an automatic update

Plus a redesigned block toolbar and other polish throughout.

### 1.0.10 — 2026-07-23

- Tap anywhere on the scene during Standard or Teleprompter rehearsal to skip ahead to the next line
- Smarter AI-powered PDF import, with a visual page picker and better character-cue detection
- Rename, edit, and copy scenes right from the scene menu
- More forgiving line matching, with faster start-up when it's your turn to speak
- Offline handling overhaul — no more false "no internet" flashes, and the app no longer hangs on a slow connection at startup
- Minor bug fixes and polish

### 1.0.9 — 2026-07-18

- New: Duplicate any saved scene with one tap - great for trying different takes without losing your original.
- Improved: Live line feedback during Standard mode performances now highlights words as you speak them, just like Teleprompter mode.
- Improved: Performances start faster thanks to quicker speech-recognition warmup.
- Improved: More accurate speech matching, including better handling of filler words and hyphenated phrases.
- Fixed: The play/stop button on recorded lines now correctly reflects what's playing, and stops cleanly when you navigate away.
Fixed: Tap feedback on scene list items no longer gets hidden behind the row background.
