And might it help that love to prolong; since the OS update mentioned in tittle: Scrivo 3 has been crashing on first paste from system clipboard, to reboot with all that was entered prior to paste voided. Hope Ya’ll configure an update soon as we all love that smooth operator feeling;o) ~J.S. ### 2/5 — Not sure of the benefits of this app *2024-02-21, version 7.5.1* I purchased this app hoping it might assist me in my writing profession but it is a rather complicated and convoluted app. I’m not really certain what the end goal was for the app creators. I bought this on a whim hoping that I could use it with my existing Scrivener projects which is says it supports. I got it to eventually sync even though it takes about 10x longer than Scrivener does. But the resulting project structure does not reflect anything close to my project within Scrivener (on the iPad). I’ve got a neat and tidy structure for one of my projects but in this app the layout is not close to what I see in Scrivener for whatever reason. Maybe I’ll check back in a few versions or something.. For now it’s not usable for me. Edit : 2 hours later. I tried this on my iPhone and let the initial sync run for probably a half hour.. it did eventually finish. The structure was initially the same as described above but I synced again and let it finish which probably took closer to 45 seconds and then the structure was fine and worked as I was hoping it would .. it’s got some odd behaviors in the editor that are a little frustrating.. Yes, syncs are slower than scrivener but do seem to work ok. I’ve gone back and forth between the two apps and no issues so far.. Basically, you get empty projects both ways. Interfaces don’t look anything like instructional videos. No split screens, no automatic tutorial load. I’m just going round and round uploading dupliciate files. Began writing, then saved and closed, only to find it did not save my draft. I want to like this app. It comes so highly rated. I am beginning to think the glitch is related to not being updated for the latest iPad version? ### 2/5 — Scrivener3 싱크가 느리고, 폰트가 자꾸 변경됩니다. *2020-12-22* MacOS 에서 Scrivener 3를 사용하고 있습니다. 책 작업을 하고 있어 파일이 좀 크긴 합니다(약 300MB).. 싱크가 너무 오래 걸려서 포기하고. 설마 동작을 안하는것이 아닌가 하고 테스트로 신규문서 만들어서 5페이지 정도 작성하고 싱크하니 되긴합니다. 하지만 그 5페이지도 너무 느리네요. 지금작업하고 있는 500 페이지 짜리 문서는 얼마나 오래 걸릴지 감이 안옵니다. 그리고.. ipados 용 Scrivener 앱을 사용중인데 이 앱을 추가로 구입한 이유가.. 바로 한글 폰트가 변해서 였습니다. 하지만 이 앱도 같은 형상이 발생합니다. Mac 에서 작업하고 Scrivo Pro 에서 수정한 후 다시 Mac 에서 열면 해당 문서의 폰트가 변경되어 있습니다. 만약 MacOS 의 Scrivener 3 와 연동해서 사용할 계획이시라면 비추입니다. 솔찍하게 말해서 환불하고 싶네요... ### 1/5 — Does not work with Scrivener 3 *2020-12-09, version 5.3.1* Developers should make it clear that this app does not work at all with Scrivener 3. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2020-10-03, version 5.2.2* I paid £9.99 on the understanding that it would open Scrivener files. I tried with iCloud, I tried with Dropbox, all sorts of combinations in different folders and with different names. Every attempt was met with a greyed out Scrivener file. Ergo, I wasted £9.99. I emailed the developers. No reply. On first opening the app it invited me to ‘upgrade’ to a free notetaking app. When I downloaded it, on first opening it asked me to pay £4.99. No way. Disappointed isn’t the word for it. I had really hoped this would be a viable alternative to Scrivener. No way. It only gets one star because I couldn’t send the review without putting a star in. ### 2/5 — NOT SCRIVENER *2020-09-26, version 5.2.2* App is, meh. But this is NOT SCRIVENER. It’s using a likeness to their logo and the name. That’s pretty dang shady business practices. Be fair warned. ### 1/5 — Not Scrivenir *2020-08-31, version 5.2.1* On iPhone, this app showed up but no scrivenir. Hate copycat softwAre riding on the coat tail of other software!!! Had I looked for Scrivnir oh iPad, it would appear . Feel conned by copycat company ### 2/5 — Not much use *2020-08-01, version 5.2.1* It requires a dedicated folder on Dropbox to sync the scriv files, which is not much use if you have scriv files all over Dropbox within relevant folders. It doesn’t recognise aliases and does not update with Dropbox properly, not least because it says there are no scriv files in the dedicated folder on Dropbox (which has fully synced), whereas there are (and they are not aliases). It provides no benefit over using Scrivener directly. A waste of money and I would like my money back. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work and also too hard to understand even use *2025-06-10, version 8.1.2* I saw this app, I was happy about it because it will do a better job of fully pasting story for my stories. Downloaded and paid for this to take my project with me on holidays and it has been such a struggle to get the project to sync. I had to duplicate my project in scrivener and clear out anything that wasn’t my chapters to make it work with this app and now i can’t get that work OFF of this app. I hate it. It’s greyed out like its not even an option. The interface is not very user friendly. Also, the AI writing assistant that is advertised as included is actually an extra $1.99 per week which I think is very misleading. ### 1/5 — Crashes immediately after opening *2023-11-15, version 7.3.7* I downloaded it to my iPad and iPhone and neither work. $3.50 and nothing. Huge disappointment. ### 1/5 — Won’t even open *2023-11-09, version 7.3.5* I’ve only ever used this app on my phone before for several years now. It’s okay there. I am just now trying it on my iPad, and the app won’t even open. I get the white screen with the “S” in it for a few seconds, maybe a minute, and then it crashes. On my phone, I’ve never had this issue, but even there I wouldn’t say it’s the best. It’s a bit of a disappointment tbh. There’s got to be better apps out there for iPad/iPhone. Scrivener on the desktop is the best. Still looking for a mobile program… ### 1/5 — Won’t import Scrivener files *2023-02-02, version 6.1.6* This app won’t do the one thing I bought it for. I, and it seems that many others in the reviews, fell for this. I found this app to be useless for me, since I was looking for a way to work on my Scrivener projects on my iPad. I was on the fence about trying a different, more expensive software and found this. It was a little different, but it worked. Something broke, but updates have since then fixed that issue. I am not keen to spend nearly fifty pounds for an update. How often are they going to charge again.....AND AGAIN ? I used to have PC, but with their annual upgrades being charged for it pays to use a Mac which may be a little more expensive at first, but a lot cheaper in long run if you don’t have to pay for updates every year or so as on PC. ### 5/5 — Best writing program ever *2019-08-29, version 4.6.4* This app is worth every penny. Works good for anything! Writing a book, using as a diary, great for school work, everything! I would recommend this program to anyone at any age, even my 9 year old loves it when she writes. Thank you who ever designed it! ### 5/5 — Good app, rare graphical glitches on iPad Pro *2019-01-29, version 4.6.0* Love the app. I have also had the occasional graphics glitches on my new iPad Pro (gen 3). It looks like scrambled boxes that covers some text. The issue seems to come up when I open files synced with iCloud. Haven’t experienced it with files prior to syncing. The glitch goes away by itself eventually; only a minor annoyance. The app is still worth the money though. ### 5/5 — 들여쓰기가 가능한 어플을 찾다가 발견했는데 아주 좋아요. *2019-01-15* 아이패드 워드 어플 중에서는 들여쓰기가 가능한 어플이 별로 보이지 않고 구글 문서는 너무 느리고 에버노트나 페이지는 무조건 자동 동기화에 한컴 오피스는 잔오류가 너무 많아서 몇 달 동안 부랑거리고 있었는데 이 어플을 찾고 대만족입니다. 저장하기 버튼을 눌러야 저장이 되고 작업 중 자동저장된 파일들은 사본으로 저장되서 딱 좋아요. 들여쓰기랑 여백조절도 되고요. 어차피 편집은 인디자인으로 하니까 말 그대로 글을 쓰는 용으로 쓰고 있는데 만족스럽습니다. 업데이트도 계속 되고 있고요. 다만 용지 설정이 불가능한건지, 아니면 제가 못찾고 있는건지 모르겠어요. 그것만 찾으면 참 좋겠어요. **Developer response:** Hello!
