8 minutes a day with history's greats.

Scrivium is the most fun and effective way to learn from history. Apprentice with Alexander Hamilton, Jane Austen, or the Greek & Roman Myths. Each apprenticeship is a 3-week guided journey with one figure, built from their actual words: letters, journals, recorded speeches, and the decisions they wrote down at the time. You read and listen to lessons drawn from primary sources, practice the rituals that shaped their lives (Rockefeller's ledger, Marcus Aurelius's premeditatio, Austen's daily observation), and finish with a commonplace book: a personal record of what stayed with you.

This app is a delight! I look forward to every new lesson and find myself quoting the things that I’m learning (because they stick!) I also love that you they use real sources so I feel like I’m getting to sit deeply with the text, and leave each game a smidge smarter.

There is no way to change the volume of this extremely loud app. It doesn’t obey system “silent” setting, the mute toggle doesn’t do anything and even disappears. Completely insane for something be published without this feature

**Developer response:** Fixed. We now have a "Read quietly" button and made the audiobook mode more obvious. We follow the same system and volume settings as Audible and Spotify. It's a noisy world out there, thanks for the feedback and sorry to add to the cacophony.

Such a well designed app! I appreciate the diversity of the lessons, and the ease of navigating through them. I also enjoy the material covered. It’s very engaging! 
Crone allows me to take a few minutes to unplug and quiet my mind each day. The way that everything is broken down into small lessons keeps the information from being overwhelming, and keeps me focused. If you enjoy reading, writing, the written word, or just an app that allows you to take a few moments of peace for yourself each day, you will enjoy Crone. I love it!
