## What is ScrollBreak?

ScrollBreak puts a mindful pause between you and your social apps.
Before the feed opens, you go through a short friction flow — just enough to make it a conscious choice.

◎ The friction flow
When you try to open a restricted app (Instagram, TikTok, X, etc.), ScrollBreak intercepts it.
You're asked: "Why are you opening this?"
Choose from: Boredom / Habit / Check notification / Research / Post
Then type the reason to confirm, and wait out a short countdown.
If you don't want to go through it — just tap "Actually, skip it" and the urge fades.

◎ Three restriction levels
• Weak  — 5-second wait / re-shields after 30 min
• Normal — 15-second wait / re-shields after 10 min
• Strong — 30-second wait / re-shields after 1–3 min
Set the right level for each app based on how much you want to resist it.

◎ Game challenge (extension mode)
After the countdown, a mini-game appears (number tap, mental math, odd-one-out).
The harder the level, the harder the game.

◎ Insights
Track your impulse count, avoidance rate, streaks, and the top reason you open each app.
See the patterns — then decide if you really needed to scroll.

◎ Pro features
• Add unlimited restricted apps (free tier: 1 app)
