## What is ScrubPic?

Was a photo captured by a camera, generated with AI, or edited later? The pixels alone may not tell you, but the file can contain Content Credentials, C2PA markers, editing software, location, device, and time clues.

ScrubPic checks supported provenance signals and metadata, turns them into a readable report, then creates a cleaned copy. Your original is never overwritten, no account is required, and photo content stays on your iPhone.

Key features:
• Check Content Credentials, C2PA/JUMBF, and AI or editing provenance clues
• Select 1–50 photos at a time
• Review location, device, date, author, and editing software details
• Export as Automatic, JPEG, HEIC, or PNG
• Preserve the original compressed image payload for eligible JPEG files
• Scan every cleaned output again for verification
• Save to Photos or continue with the iOS share sheet
• Scan and clean photos on your device

Single-photo cleaning is free and may show an ad after a successful export. Batch export uses photo credits; one completed rewarded ad adds 5 credits. Photo content and scan results are never sent to the ad provider.

ScrubPic can only identify supported markers that are actually present in the file. No detected AI or provenance signal does not prove that an image was not AI-generated or edited; this is not a pixel-based authenticity classifier. Removing supported metadata also does not make a photo completely anonymous.
