### 2/5 — Feedback from a longtime user

*2026-08-12, version 4.4*

I’ve used Sculpt You for several years on both Android and iPhone, and I’ve watched the app grow, add features, and expand its staff. Unfortunately, some of the recent changes feel like a step backward from what originally made Sculpt You stand out.

The app itself feels clunky and less flexible than it used to be. Previously, I could easily switch between home and gym versions of a workout or adjust between beginner and intermediate levels. That flexibility mattered. Some days I’m especially sore, returning after time away, or simply need to modify my workout. Removing those options makes it harder to stay consistent.

The same is true for home and gym workouts. One of the things I valued most about Sculpt You was the encouragement to work out wherever you could. If I made it to the gym, I could use the gym version. If I couldn’t, I could still complete a comparable home workout focused on the same goals. That made the program practical and helped remove the all-or-nothing mindset that can derail consistency.

There are also basic user-interface issues that make completing a workout unnecessarily frustrating. For example, when entering a weight during a set, especially during a superset, the keyboard doesn’t close or move out of the way properly. This can force the user to back out of the superset, enter the weight, and then reopen the superset to continue. Small workflow issues like this interrupt the workout and make the app feel unintuitive rather than seamless.

I recently returned after a couple of years away and paid for a month because I hoped the original flexibility was still part of the experience. I was surprised by how different the app felt and how similar it now seems to many other fitness apps.

The challenges also appear to have changed. They’re available to start at any time and seem more like self-directed programs than true monthly community challenges. The original shared monthly format created accountability and the feeling that everyone was working toward something together. Making them available on demand may be more convenient, but it loses much of that community motivation.

I’m also concerned about how difficult it is to cancel a subscription. After searching throughout the app, I couldn’t find any way to cancel. The only option I could locate was buried in the online web version, which users are being told will soon be discontinued. If there’s another cancellation method, it isn’t clearly communicated or easy to find. Making it easy to subscribe but difficult to locate the cancellation option feels wrong and potentially deceptive to users.

I’ve genuinely loved Sculpt You in the past, so this feedback comes from wanting to see it succeed. At its current price, though, I can’t justify continuing to pay the same amount I would for other fitness apps when the features that originally made Sculpt You valuable to me are no longer available, the basic workout experience isn’t very user-friendly, and managing the subscription isn’t transparent.

### 2/5 — too many app issues

*2026-08-06, version 4.4*

as a longtime user of the app, pretty disappointed with the updated version. way too many glitches, not saving previously saved information, hard to navigate, and the workouts themselves aren’t nearly as good as previous years. unfortunately will probably be cancelling my subscription

### 4/5 — Love the app but…

*2026-08-06, version 4.4*

I love the new app and the workouts. I’ve gained a lot of strength and definitely recommend! My only complaint is that the the app is glitchy and definitely has some kinks that need to be worked out. When I try to change challenges it does not save any history or let me change it long term, it continues to go back to my previous challenge. I have to join the new challenge I want to do every day and remember where I left off the previous day/week. It’s really frustrating because I really want to do a new challenge and focus on it.

Hoping with the next update the bugs are fixed!

### 1/5 — Come on

*2026-07-11, version 4.2*

The fact that it immediately takes you to buy a subscription is very off putting. The fact that you can’t look around on the app first and see if you like how it functions, the UI, see if everything is your vibe first?? Like I work hard for my money I’m not going in blind. Put all the important stuff behind a locked paywall but still browsable so we could at least look at it!

### 1/5 — Update Ruined App

*2026-07-08, version 4.2*

The new update is a mess and feels rushed, with many reported issues and inconsistencies. The biggest issue is it erased all previous data and progress - any record of logged reps / weights for different exercises is gone along with my workout history, with no warning. The app is not reliable for tracking progress as it apparently could be wiped at any moment. The new programs and challenges claim they differentiate between home and gym workouts, but there are a lot of inconsistencies with one exercise saying to use a squat rack and the next exercise telling you to use your couch. The app is now too busy, clearly prioritizing “aesthetic” over functionality. Don’t recommend at all, at least until they work out the many issues with the update, as it seems there was a rush to push it out without any consideration for users.

### 1/5 — Update is terrible

*2026-07-06, version 4.1*

I’ve been doing this program loyally for years. This new update sucks, the app is really not user-friendly and the workouts are definitely not as good huge downgrade in qualitt since the system update. The workout used to be enjoyable and now you’re not even really using equipment or weights? Lot of band works and box steps. My gym doesn’t have this stuff. Please go back to the original. I’ll be switching programs until then.

### 1/5 — Update is trash

*2026-07-06, version 4.1*

I have been using this app for almost 4 years now and it has changed my feelings about exercise and the gym completely. I was in such a funk for a while and before the update, this app has been incredible. I didn’t realize this app was updating on July 1 and I am about to delete my account and cancel the subscription for this app. I am so frustrated trying to figure out a workout. I don’t like the programs, I don’t like the individual workouts that are on there. I really enjoyed what they had prior to the update. My subscription goes until the end of August and there’s a 100% chance I do not renew if this is how the app stays. I’m about to build my own split based on what I used to do on this app. So frustrated.

### 1/5 — Deleted my account???

*2026-07-02, version 4.1*

Ive been paying for the app for years, logged in today and suddenly i dont have an account anymore. Given three options of a payment plan again when i was already on one before. Very weird.

### 2/5 — Please change it back

*2026-07-02, version 4.1*

I genuinely hate this new update, I don’t know why they made it more complicated and harder to use, I’m begging you please change it back 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 it is hugely inconvenient to be required to exactly follow the apps regimen instead of being able to pick which sets to do when considering I workout in a public gym and do the sets as the equipment becomes available. Please at least make that an option again!!

### 1/5 — July 1st update

*2026-07-01, version 4.0.41*

This app is so cluttered and confusing now! Way too busy and not organized in a user friendly manner. I’ve used this app for 5 years and this update has me looking for a new app to use for gym workouts.

### 1/5 — Did the app change?

*2026-07-01*

I started using this app a week ago and I absolutely loved it. I was doing the 1-week trial and had it set for the year membership when it was over. Today is the last day of my free trial and I open the app and it’s completely different. The pictures on the App Store is the old version and the new one doesn’t look like this anymore. All my progress is gone (except for the journals). My program is no longer there and there are now only 3 gym programs available. The descriptions of the programs are too long and have unnecessary information now. The videos are not the same. I don’t like the talking; before it was just a video with an endless loop showing you the proper way to do the workout and form suggestions. I understand the talking for the home workouts but we don’t need that for the gym workouts. The workouts in this new version are not as extensive as the old version and one of the equipment suggestions for a gym workout is a couch. What happened? It was so professional looking before. I went through so many apps before found this one and was ready to pay my membership for it. I’m so glad this happened right before I paid for this because I would have been so upset to pay for this.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. 💜 We understand this update was a big change, especially after you had such a positive first experience with Sculpt You. ### 1/5 — Constantly have to delete app

*2026-06-30, version 4.0.41*

App is so glitchy, constantly have to delete and redownload. Canceling my membership whenever I have the time to do it. Jfc.

### 3/5 — Eh

*2026-06-29, version 3.6*

The content is pretty good, the app itself kinda sucks. It rarely loads past the opening page without opening and closing the app several times.

### 4/5 — Great content, app needs work

*2026-06-18, version 3.6*

I decided to follow along the pregnancy plan and the workouts have been great. However the app could use some improvements. My profile never shows that I’ve completed workouts and I’ve completed at least 2 weeks already (not sure if that option just doesn’t apply for the pregnancy plan). The app sometimes glitches to open up, all I see is the welcome quote page and my homepage doesn’t load until I open/close the app and few times.
Also, when I go back to look at previously completed workouts, my list that was checked off is suddenly incomplete.
A positive note, I like how previous exercises are populated with the sets and weight, that is super convenient :)
Overall, I’ve been loving the plan and I can’t wait to follow along for my postpartum journey.

### 3/5 — Incorrect Videos

*2026-06-15, version 3.6*

I really love this app, I have seen results within myself, I have a complain, the videos for workouts have been incorrect and not showing the correct workouts so I end up stuck and end up doing a different workout but I would love to follow the correct plan but it’s been a few videos that don’t show the correct workout and it’s something completely different. I hope this gets fixed soon.

### 2/5 — The videos are different than the actual workout

*2026-06-15, version 3.6*

This app used to be good and now I’m noticing that the name of the workout it NOT matching the video demonstration. I got the lifetime membership, but it seems like the owner/moderator of the app doesn’t care to check if each video is reflecting the type of workout.

### 3/5 — Inaccurate

*2026-06-02, version 3.6*

Half the time the workouts are inaccurate to the description ie: showing a warm up stretch where the workout for cable kickbacks is. The nutrition info is also inaccurate which can be dangerous like putting something with dairy or soy in the gf df sf section is. This app used to be better

### 3/5 — Limiting and glitchy

*2026-05-22, version 3.6*

The workouts change but don’t seem to progress. It also does not give you prompts for what weights you used last time, how much you should progress weekly/monthly. The home exercises are often accidentally in the gym routines, which again makes it feel easier and limiting to challenging yourself. The supersets are a little much, and I only do them if I’m really short on time. They also don’t logistically make sense. Like hammer curls in between cable sets. It’s been good to give me an idea of what I need to do at the gym but it’s not helping me track or progress at all. Kind of wish I didn’t buy the annual subscription.

### 3/5 — Great workouts, slow app

*2026-05-14, version 3.6*

I love the structured workouts and ability to log + save weights, sets, reps and other notes. The example videos have helped my confidence when trying new workouts and the tips are so so helpful. However, the app is soooo slow. It happens during EVERY workout. I keep having to switch back and forth from my data to wifi or even delete and reinstall the app bc it freezes on the initial “no one is you and that is your power” opening screen.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Long time user now disappointed

*2026-08-13, version 4.4*

For starters the app doesn’t save your information. You go through your workouts adding your weights and for what? It doesn’t save. So you have to guess what your weights were week to week. Which is extremely frustrating. As for the workout programs, they went down hill fast. I use to feel challenged and like I got a great workout in. Now, they kinda suck. I feel like they rushed to create them and every program feels like the exact same thing. If I say I’m working out at home or the gym, I get the same workout. If I say I’m a beginner or advanced, shocker, same workout. The equipment it says you’ll need, a lie. Still waiting to use the lat pull down it says you need in the postpartum program. The workouts she posts on her instagram are nothing like the workouts in the app (that you are paying for). If you are a first time gym user, just purchase a month, screenshot the workouts and then cancel. Because there is no benefit of having it longer than that. The workouts don’t change. If you are someone that has experience working out, go somewhere else. I promise you’ll get a better workout in elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Updated app isn’t great

*2026-08-13, version 4.4*

I had been using sculpt you since January and I loved it so much but the update sucks. I have been trying to get used to it for a month now and if I didn’t have the lifetime membership I would be canceling and looking for another app. It’s annoying to navigate, it’s more steps to track your workout, it takes away the joy of working out honestly. And it also seems like they prioritize the gym workouts more in the new app than the home workouts AND it’s not as beginner friendly either. It’s just all so very disappointing honestly.

### 1/5 — The new update ended it for me

*2026-08-12, version 4.4*

I wish there was a way to opt out or reverse this new update. Have been a user for so many years and had to cancel. So sad they had to ruin a great app.

### 1/5 — New app

*2026-08-09, version 4.4*

The new update is awful. I ended my subscription I’ve had for almost 4 years.

### 1/5 — UI update is not user friendly

*2026-08-06, version 4.4*

The last 2 months have been disappointing at worst. Underwhelming at best. I’m not going to go into specifics on the aesthetic & non functional UI, & the changes in content, but it’s disappointing to see an app pivot so hard from its meat & potatoes that it alienates customers who have supported for years. & then the audacity to not even put out a guide or FAQ after TONS of feedback (positive, negative, or otherwise) & confusion. The most disappointing part is the admins saying “sorry you feel that way”, “change is hard! 💜” & haven’t addressed any concerns en masse in a post or app notifications, they only respond to comments on their social media. & even then I learned more from my peers than the admins as they typically only leave comments in that vein.
Just deleted it, won’t be back.

### 1/5 — 👎🏽

*2026-07-28, version 4.4*

I hate the new layout! It was so much more simple before. You pick how many days a week you wanted to lift and that’s it! Especially for us who lift as a lifestyle. Now you have to pick a challenge? Doesn’t count our rest periods anymore and it doesn’t tell us how many reps? Ugh no ty

### 1/5 — New update

*2026-07-25, version 4.3*

Been a member for years… this new update in theory is nice but it doesn’t work. Trying to use the pregnancy program and it’s unusable due to a glitch. Reached out to customer service and was told “keep an eye out for updates” I did the most recent update and still experiencing major issues. I truly would save your money and head else where.

### 1/5 — hate the new update - BRING BACK LIST VIEW PLEASE

*2026-07-22, version 4.3*

this app was great before the update - now it’s entirely too difficult to use and the videos auto playing drives me insane. please go back to the simple list format or at least give us an option to view it that way, and NEEDING to record each set before being allowed to progress through the workout is also a huge waste of time. i might cancel my long time subscription because the app became harder to use and i’m wasting time at the gym. also, why are all the workouts supersets now? it’s so annoying.

### 1/5 — New app 2026

*2026-07-15, version 4.2*

It’s hard to navigate and selects the workouts.

### 1/5 — Pls change it back

*2026-07-11, version 4.2*

Glad to see I’m not the only one less than happy with the new update. I’m not one to leave reviews but I feel like the new update completely eradicated the features that drove most people to use it in the first place and replaced it with a strange format that makes using the app so much more difficult just for lower quality workouts. May have to find a new workout app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — new app!

*2026-07-17, version 4.2*

i really wish we were able to take out or skip workouts and still be able to hit complete workout :(

### 5/5 — SO WORTH IT!

*2026-05-04, version 3.5*

I bought the lifetime membership and this has totally replaced my expensive gym membership. So helpful and I can’t wait to use other aspects of this app/program for future pregnancy and recovery.

### 5/5 — Love

*2026-03-03, version 3.2*

I started following Katrina on Instagram years ago when she was doing maternity workouts and I wanted to watch those videos in the gym. I was SO excited when I saw this app. I love the workouts that are on there.
I only have 2 complaints. 1. The videos are super hard to interact with. Buttons on the video screen are difficult to select. Trying to make a video full screen is super difficult and only works some of the time, and when it is full screen it doesn’t rotate to fit the screen. And 2. Putting in the weights and reps is typically super easy, I just wish, for things like treadmill incline, it said “speed” “incline” and “time/mins” instead of “weights” and “reps”.
Other than those 2 things, the app is amazing! The workouts are fantastic. I love that there is yoga and dance videos along with the traditional gym and home workouts.
Thank you! 💪

### 5/5 — i can lift like crazy now

*2026-01-02, version 3.1*

I’ve used this app since rehab from brain surgery in 2021. October 12, 2021 was the day I said I was going to start investing in my health again, and I haven’t stopped since. Using this app, I’ve gone from curling 20s to 35s. I’ve gone from 15lb lat raises to 25. I can do pull-ups now. My form is impeccable! And it’s this app that actually makes me want to work out, because a part of the process is already done for me: I know that there will be a designated workout for me every day.

### 5/5 — Had for years

*2025-09-24, version 2.16*

Great app I have had them for years, only thing that could be improved is I would love to see more technical videos in the gym using different machines like hack squat and racked leg press

### 5/5 — Literally sculpts my body

*2025-07-10, version 2.9*

I have been using and recommending Katrina’s app for years. Apart from being affordable, it truly works if you stick with the program. While using her program I have felt so strong and confident on the outside and in! My booty has never looked better, thanks girl!

### 5/5 — Simple and effective!

*2025-06-27, version 2.8*

Great app, simple to use and works great! I love all the features and love having everything in one place! Great fitness plans with beginner friendly and vegan friendly options.

### 5/5 — Do it momma

*2025-06-20, version 2.7*

If you feel out of place, lonely, new momma, lady in male dominated space. I fall under it all, this app has saved me so much time on meals for the week, groceries, and I don’t even have to leave my little baby to get a variety of movement in. If you want support and to support other women in the gym, this is a great start.

### 5/5 — Worth Trying

*2025-04-18, version 2.4*

I am a certified hater of many workout plans but often find myself struggling to come up with one that is beneficial and not so locally focused I overdo areas.

I find the balance with this workout plan especially as a runner is super nice and benefits me.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-04-12, version 2.4*

I had been struggling with depression and anxiety. I decided to focus on the things I can control like my physical activity and eating habits. I found this app reading reviews of other apps and one woman said she was going back to Sculpt You. I checked it out and I’m down 30lbs pounds and seeing major results also focusing on more protein and healthier eating habits. I’m 43 and can’t recommend this app enough. The customer service is also phenomenal and quick to respond if you have issues.
