### 4/5 — Touchscreen

*2024-05-17*

The controls are great except for the fact that a single-tap does not register as a left click nor a single two-finger tap as right click. You have to long-press either instead (annoying). This prevents any double-click functionality in games.

### 4/5 — It is great but

*2024-05-06*

There two problems after added a number of game it will start graying out the most recently added games when resetting for no reason abd second the save feature does not actually save the game and just make save for the start of game no matter far into the game I was

### 4/5 — love scumm! but needs apple pencil support

*2024-04-11*

Doesn’t seem to detect apple pencil presses, which would be the optimal way to play these games

### 5/5 — You can play backyard baseball

*2024-04-06*

👏👏

### 5/5 — Greatest app ever and keeps getting better

*2024-03-28*

It’s almost perfect. My only wish is better iOS support for Grim Fandango & Escape From Monkey Island (Mouse/Touch support)

### 5/5 — 90s pc gaming on my ipad…for free!

*2024-02-04*

This is amazing. Took me a little bit to figure it out tho. Manually connected to OneDrive for the cloud. Then took me a little bit to figure out how where to move the game files and then starting it up in Scumm. But i got it. And the first game i loaded was Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Awesome! Works great. Next are the og Monkey Island games and a bunch of old Sierra games. Im stoked to waste hours of more time on my ipad.

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2024-01-15, version 2.8.0*

Good to see it finally on the App Store.

Just need support for Discworld Noir and it would be perfect!

### 4/5 — Love that it finally came to iOS, but just needs one thing

*2024-01-14*

I’ve been a huge fan of ScummVM for years and with my iPad at work it’s nice that some games are available as ports but other games I wanted to play I had to play with PC or emulation devices. This is a huge plus to finally see it here but for some reason I cannot seem to get ScummVM to work with my iPad keyboard and trackpad. It seems to only want to use the onscreen keyboard and tapping the screen for the cursor which is nice but I want to be able to point and click with an actual trackpad. I may have overlooked the settings but can’t seem to find it. If this feature is added this will be the perfect app!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2024-01-12*

I can play Quest for Glory with MT-32 music on my phone. This is incredible.

### 5/5 — Wonderful!

*2024-01-06*

I’m so pleased to see this on the AppStore. I’m a huge fan of this project and am just so grateful I no longer need to sideload to enjoy it. I’m not sure how you got this through approval but thanks all the same. Looking forward to official updates. Good luck and good work!

### 4/5 — Overall good, could use a few QOL improvements

*2024-01-05*

It took me a little while to figure out how to add games. The steps of having to first connect a cloud service and then copy the games from its special Dropbox folder (in my case) to local storage was a bit clunky. The quick connect method for Dropbox did not work and while the manual method did, I would have liked an error message explaining the nature of the failure to see if there was anything I could easily have done about it. Internal documentation is scanty. Pinch to bring up the keyboard (to access keys like F5 or period, useful in SCUMM games) was surprisingly not that awkward. Direct mouse simulation (tap to move pointer and tap to click) works well and I hardly notice I'm not playing on PC much of the time.

### 2/5 — Needs improvement

*2024-01-01*

This app is a nice fork to Retroarch especially since it bypassed Apple on the AppStore. The thing it lacks are better UI, easier navigation, more significant way to add games, etc etc. Good job though, I’m glad to see better emulators on the AppStore!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. This first release was an important milestone for us but we are aware that usability could be improved. We will work on this in future updates.
Note however that ScummVM is not an emulator (nor a Retroarch fork) but a reimplementation of the original game executables for iOS (and many other platforms). 😉

### 3/5 — great start

*2025-12-03, version 2.9.1*

The iOS port is pretty good, but how am I meant to link my Onedrive when the app doesn’t allow the JSON response to be pasted?

### 3/5 — Could be clearer

*2024-07-30, version 2.8.0*

Howdy, I’ve searched up online for guidance on using this for iPhone but from what I’m seeing it’s having to learn code -.- I’m totally not against it but seems a bit much just for the experience of playing older games. Does this have a easier method or what?

### 3/5 — Couldnt get files to transfer into the app

*2024-03-22*

Not user friendly

### 4/5 — Glad it's here

*2025-05-25*

Has a lot of QOL issues but I'm very happy to have it

### 4/5 — Great but one big problem

*2024-09-14*

I love to play backyard baseball and having it on mobile is great. There’s just one thing tho, it keeps crashing mid game. I’ve tried redownloading it like 5 times and still the same thing. Weird thing tho, it only happens the second time I boot it up. Please fix this big problem.

### 4/5 — Version 2.8 missing Magic Keyboard Touchpad support

*2024-08-17*

As title said, the 2024 Magic Keyboard touchpad isn’t working. It does support the keys though. The rest of the software is working beautifully. Really hope this gets updated as it would make my iPad the ultimate ScummVM system for me on the go.

### 4/5 — Trackpad Support Needed

*2024-07-26, version 2.8.0*

As good as it is to see ScummVM on iPadOS and iOS, it doesn’t appear that input from Magic Keyboard trackpad or keyboard works as of yet. Interestingly an external mouse works, but an external keyboard doesn’t work. I am attempting to play a game that uses a keyboard to type in commands, so currently it is unplayable without this support.

### 4/5 — Fantastic

*2024-07-24, version 2.8.0*

Unfortunately, the trackpad from the new m4 iPads doesn’t work for input. If this is fixed, it would be a five star app.

### 4/5 — Please change the icon color! Too ugly for iOS!

*2024-06-05*

Okay, I love this app. I own all the old cd-roms, and you can copy the files over and run them with this emulator. It’s so cool. And it works great, especially with the touchscreen mouse emulation.

But I think the two colors on the icon are way too ugly for iOS! There’s an alternative logo (and UI) that uses blue instead or orange, and the blue goes great with the green! Please update the icon! I beg of you!

*2026-05-10*

Thank you, George we just for all the amazing entertainment you’ll be giving us and by the way could you make it more easier to search games without doing all the things you have to do before you Can’t get them by the way, thank you now everyone can have a way to play the classic point-and-click games and RPGs on this amazing mobile browser

### 5/5 — AMAZING!!

*2026-04-26*

It’s the best experience when I play Gahan Wilson’s The Ultimate Haunted House

### 5/5 — Classics

*2025-02-22, version 2.9.0*

Love digging back into the classics.

Haven’t tried on the iPad yet with the newly added support for Apple Pencil, but I’m interested in seeing how it’s being handled.

I’d really like to see Apple TV support too.

### 5/5 — One of the greatest applications of all time

*2025-01-22, version 2.9.0*

I’m so happy this is in the App Store. Thank you so much to the developers. Now my kids can enjoy the same games I did.

### 5/5 — Amazing app!

*2024-12-24*

I was not familiar with scummvm….. but i downloaded this free app, bought a couple of wadjeteye games (golden wake and unavowed) on gog that they dont have available for ios and i havent had a chance to play and this app works great to make these ios games!!!

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2024-09-16, version 2.8.1*

Almost perfect app that is only missing gamepad key mapping support

### 5/5 — Superb

*2024-06-10, version 2.8.0*

Simply great. Allows me to relive classics from my youth. Would be cool if there was support for Apple Pencil (especially Pro version where squeeze gesture is right-click/context menu).

### 5/5 — Perfect Addition to iPad Pro

*2024-05-18, version 2.8.0*

This app is a perfect addition to playing old school games on M4 iPad Pro.

One thing that doesn’t seem to work with this app is the magic keyboard’s trackpad. I’ve played with the settings but can’t seem to see why it doesn’t work. Can this functionality be added?

### 5/5 — Forgot this was here

*2024-05-02, version 2.8.0*

It works perfectly. Transfer in the games you already own and enjoy!

### 5/5 — ScummVM on iOS!!!

*2024-04-12*

Nuff said. Now, if only we could get DOSBox approved. And FUSE. Mayhap, even a NES interpreter…
