caught you off guard.
You're right that SD Import is a paid app. The free imports are there
so you can test that your card reader and card work with your iPhone
before spending anything. Unlocking the full version is a one-time
purchase — not a subscription — and it stays yours forever.
Building a reliable importer takes real work: RAW format support across
Sony, Canon, Fujifilm and Nikon, preserving original capture dates,
handling interrupted transfers, and keeping up with every iOS release.
That ongoing work is what the purchase supports.
