I tried scanning a barcode on a ticket with an iPhone 13 pro and the app will not capture the barcode to read the ticket. This app needs to be updated by the developer. When using the app with an older model iPhone X the app would sometimes capture the barcode however it app didn’t show how much the winning ticket was for. With the previous iPhone X I entered some second chance drawings by scanning a ticket, however the app would state I do not have any purchases registered to my account. Please fix this app! ### 1/5 — Camera doesnt focus on the barcode and scanning says it’s already been entered *2021-12-29, version 1.5* Just upgraded to an iPhone 13 from the iPhone 10, the camera can’t/ won’t focus on the barcode. I’ve tried 50 scratch tickets and doesn’t work. Also scanning tickets, the app says it’s already been entered. How can that be when it’s the first time scanning the barcode? Also some tickets have the same number on them. Today I scanned a barcode and the ticket was 18, scanned the next ticket and it had the same number! They both read multiple times as “not a winner” . Glad I double checked! ### 1/5 — OMG what is the point of this? *2021-01-12, version 1.5* I recently re-installed this cause they finally added the feature to scan lotto tickets. But all it does is say “you won” or you “didn’t win” It gives you no idea what you won. So then you gotta just compare number by number anyway and once you do that, there is nothing I could find in the app to find out what you won. You still gotta go to the website (which is also horrible) and laboriously hunt down the winning combos. The app and website are geared entirely as marketing material and has little usefulness for end users. ### 1/5 — Never once got it to work *2020-11-24, version 1.5* Does not work, ticket scanner never once worked ### 1/5 — Slow and Not Accurate *2020-08-13, version 1.5* Finally added a Lotto Ticket scan option but will not correctly scan consistently saying barcodes are invalid (tried over 3 days) or that a ticket is not a winner when in fact it is a winner. SD Lotto seems to struggle with technology compared to other states lotto apps. For the amount of money spent in SD on lotto and scratch lotto one would like to think they would put more effort and money into design and functionality of the app and be a lot more user friendly. **Developer response:** Hello, we apologize that you are are experiencing these issues, as we have not heard consistent reports of this. Tried delete and reinstall, still won’t open. Stuck on a loading screen that doesn’t even display properly. I am a member of the Lotto Club and want to use the app. It would also be nice if the app would have more detailed information on the scratch games (when they end, how many prizes are left, what new ones are coming, etc.) ### 1/5 — Worthless App *2022-09-23, version 1.5* This is the most worthless app there is. You can’t even scan your ticket to see if you won and it looks like it’s been well over two years since they’ve done anything to it. They say they have the second chance, but you can’t even scan your tickets to get into that. Sometimes the app works and sometimes it’ll freeze and crash. The scanning part never works. The barcode scanner is extremely finicky and it can’t even tell you what the ticket is worth. Just ‘small’ winner or ‘big’ winner. The app is out of commission for 9 hours a day and still has issues when it’s back up.
