## What is SDDOT 511?

The South Dakota 511 mobile application provides real-time access to traffic and traveler information supplied by the South Dakota Department of Transportation (South Dakota DOT). Maps depict current traffic conditions, as well as incident and construction events that can impact traffic on all Interstate, U.S., and State Routes.  Alert, and weather information is also available. The map indicates the location of roadside cameras, which allow users to view current traffic conditions. As users move through the highway network, the app can keep track of their location on the map. South Dakota DOT's Twitter feeds are also accessible and provide information impacting traffic across the state's regions.

It’s helpful in the winter especially but recently when I go to the cameras I can’t get it to toggle to another angle

This app is so annoying. Every time I open the app it shows everything. I do NOT need to see ports of entry, weather stuff etc.  I change the settings and it goes right back to showing it all!!!! Fix It!!!!

App provides good road info but legend can’t be viewed at the same time you are viewing map. Can’t figure out a way to turn off from running all the time in the background. So far the only method is to reboot phone to turn off.

The app is rated 17+, but that rating is normally reserved for apps with adult content. If an adult wants to limit their teen’s access to such apps, they also have to limit the teen’s access to this app. This app should be rated 12+.

The problem with the app is it doesn’t show the correct road conditions most of the time and at night time they stop updating it. Anyone who drives at night cannot rely on this app.

Again it’s been raining and snowing in areas and this app still showing dry. The update every 30 minutes is a lie

When I first got the app a while ago it was handy but clunky to use.  Now that they have updated the interface and made the map key easy to access I can’t complain how easy and accurate it is.

This is a bad app that has to many options. To confusing and does not work well on a phone. 

The website it is based on is not as confusing. I am so glad tax dollars are used to make poor products.

The updated app is awful. Not user friendly at all. Can’t read all of the road reports when you click on a road. Can pull it up but not far enough to read everything. When I let go, it goes back to the beginning so I can’t see all the segments of a particular road.
