A chi pensa di aver buttato i soldi (nei commenti) consiglio di leggere le descrizioni prima di fare acquisti. ### 4/5 — Very basic, but stable.. *2018-09-24* First and foremost (as a few left negative reviews as they didn’t know what this exactly did before purchasing), you need (at minimum) an SDR dongle running on a computer (Mac, PC, Raspberry Pi, etc) in order to use this application. This app is designed to receive a stream of data across a network (LAN or internet) from an SDR source. To stream from the internet (i.e, over LTE to back to your SDR source), you may need to forward a port on your router. The default port for SDR is just 1234. I have this and the other new one just released (one with waterfall). Both are working ok on iPhone and iPad, In fact this one may even be more stable than the waterfall one. For stability, I give it four stars marking that it’s “very good” and I like it, however there is room for more features. The presets are pretty useless if you don’t live in the California area that it looks like they are for. Restoring the presets is pretty useless as the majority of users will just delete them, use their own freqs, and never need to restore them. While adding a waterfall isn’t really necessary (in fact, it may degrade performance as it has to draw all that), adding LSB/USB modes is something I’d love to see added. Along with, perhaps, squelch. With LSB/USB, especially if they are stable using low freqs through upconverter, I would give this full 5 stars. I’m more interested in performance than eye candy. I’ve been using this app more often than the “waterfall” one. Sometimes less is more. However, for LSB/USB, I still have to turn to the other app... ### 5/5 — Well done! *2018-06-06* A really well working software with an exceptional support! ### 5/5 — Spot on! *2018-05-24* Great UX and quality app! FM modes work fine. ### 1/5 — Money grabber. *2019-08-25* Update: Program is a come on regarding HF coverage. You’ll also need an up converter, which I bought and opened another can of operational worms. Still only one star. Original: You buy it then they tell you what it needs to work. $10.00!!! **Developer response:** The App Store description clearly states that SDR Receiver requires a radio, a host computer and corresponding server software which are not provided with the app and which must be separately installed and configured. SDR Receiver supports the Airspy HF+ and Discover radios, and SDRPlay radios which all provide HF coverage. The RTL-SDR radio operates from about 30 MHz up, and a V.3 RTL-SDR radio can also operate at HF via Direct Sampling mode which is supported. If you would like to operate SDR Receiver with an up converter please contact SDR-Receiver-Support@TransitionTechnologyVentures.com. ### 1/5 — SdrPlay a no go. *2019-04-12* Still punching around, but this refuses to recognize my sdrplay as claimed. And where is the waterfall as described? **Developer response:** SDR Receiver does support SDRPlay radios via the rsp_tcp server application which is provided free of charge by SDRPlay and which runs on PC, Mac and Raspberry Pi. Please contact sdr-receiver-support@TransitionTechnologyVentures.com for help in getting it working properly. SDR Receiver does not have a waterfall display. There is no SWLing logging app for iOS and this is the closest I could find. A few features that would make this a killer app: - 1. Addition of USB and LSB modulation would be useful for storing VLF and aeronautical frequencies such as Volmets. 2. Date and time that frequencies were heard. 3. Integration with online station ID databases. 4. A waterfall would be amazing! ### 3/5 — Overall better than RTL-SDR...but *2018-08-08, version 1.03* I did have the only other RTL SDR TCP app installed but had a few issues with it, like only 5 memory channels, and poor squelch control... and a major issue that the developers of that other app ignore all support e-mail requests, not one reply to 3 mails This app is much better, you can store multiple frequencies, seems unlimited and you can group them too. Supports AirSpy, which the other app does not seem to Brilliant Down sides 1 No SSB demodulation 2 Squelch should be in front screen, or stored with each channel. 3 A whole load of preset channels that will be useless to most people , but you cannot delete. 4 You can’t type a frequency directly into the frequency bar at the top. I’d give more stars if the issues above are addressed ### 4/5 — A basic, stable tcp set client *2024-03-14* This is a basic “radio” app for listening to AM, nb FM (like NOAA weather radio), and wb FM (FM broadcast). Does not do SSB. Minus one star for not supporting stereo FM. Hopefully in a future version! **Developer response:** Thanks for the review! More modes are on the roadmap. ### 4/5 — Cool app *2023-07-13, version 1.2.6* Great app if you have list of known frequency’s you want to monitor It’s one of those nice apps where it’s simple / obvious to use with the exception of importing your CSV. It would be helpful if the pop up telling you there’s nothing to import also tells you that you can also use the file share feature to import 😀 ### 4/5 — Great software *2022-09-30, version 1.2.4* Loving the software. It took a bit of figuring out to get it working, but now that it’s done it’s amazing. Simple server with an FM antenna plugged into a Raspberry Pi and this app allows me to save presents to tune those stations. Great simple interface and significantly cheaper than paying for MLB.tv/NBA League Pass/NFL+ or SiriusXM. Plus NO DELAY since it's right from the radio feed. Can't recommend enough! ### 5/5 — Works great with an RTL-SDR Dongle *2022-03-15* Love this app. Super simple and stable. I would LOVE the addition of SSB modes (LSB and USB) so I could listen to what's happening on the HF ham bands. For now, it's perfect for monitoring my local FM repeaters and FM broadcast stations. I work in a concrete building that can't get any radio signal. Being able to connect to my Raspberry Pi at home that has a cheap RTL-SDR dongle plugged in to it, is a really nice thing to have. If you guys ever add a SSB and a waterfall, this will be the BEST SDR app for iOS no doubt. Keep being awesome devs! Thank you! ### 5/5 — Great app that does everything I need *2022-01-04, version 1.2.1* As a newbie to all things SDR, I was looking for a clear, straightforward app to meet my particular needs - to monitor marine vhf channels remotely around the house on my iPhone, whilst still making use of the roof aerial. This App meets those needs perfectly. It allows me to create a list of channels/frequencies to monitor and easlily move between them. I had a user error problem with setting up the the other parts of my system (the SDR dongle and raspberry pi), nothing to do with the app. However, the help section within the app itself, and some really great extra help from the developer, who responded really quickly to my email query, got that part sorted straight away and all is working perfectly. I am looking forward to finishing off my home set up with the roof aerial installation this week, safe in the knowledge that the rest of the system is ready and waiting to make best use of it. ### 5/5 — Funktioniert *2021-05-10* SDRplay und rsp_tcp funktioniert ohne Probleme.
