Very similar to Fire Maple games. I don’t enjoy the video sequences that move the story along. I always skip those but it wasn’t possible in this game. Also, I had some trouble figuring out what I was supposed to do to solve certain puzzles. If you get stuck the only option is to to skip the puzzle. It would have been nice if there had been a hint option. The graphics were good. There was a variety of puzzles. Overall, a very good game. ### 4/5 — Fun but glitchy *2020-03-28, version 2.1* I really enjoyed this game as I was looking for something similar to the fire maple puzzle games and this is basically exactly the same. The only thing I had an issue with is it seemed to be a little less well put together... when I got to the blue head the feather didn’t come out and the other eye randomly appeared,so I couldn’t move forward and I had to restart the entire game and lost all of my progress...it almost happened again and I somehow got out and it worked. The feather puzzle game also wasn’t working well with the touch location even when I used my IPEN..luckily there was a skip feature! Otherwise, I enjoyed the game and the puzzle. Story was creative, puzzles were so-so, and the length was somewhat short. The artwork really stood out for me though. Got stuck at same feather puzzle for same reason. You cannot pass the puzzle because it reacts as though you have pressed in the wrong place. Can’t get skip to work either. Can’t believe they never fixed this. 6/4/19 I wish I had read through all the reviews. Same exact problems early in the game. Feather puzzle with poorly defined touch areas. (You touch Yellow, red lights up). Also had same problem with tile puzzle. Solved, and nothing happens. Makes it hard to trust anything. Also sounds are too cutesy and annoying Waste of money. It acts like it's lading but then automatically goes back out of the game. At some time during game play, I was bounced out of the game but was able to resume without loss of information. I started the bonus game and had to leave in the middle. Now, I’m trying to complete the bonus game, but there is no link or prompt that leads me back to the bonus game. I found some of the puzzles to be challenging. Puzzles weren’t too difficult and if they were (multi color statue in the 3rd or 4th scene) the skip option was nice to have as a back-up. I was slightly disappointed to have played it in one sitting but I played the easier mode rather than the more difficult. Let it be known that my child has more patience than I do, hence the skipping of a few puzzles. I click on one color and it will recognize it as another color. Basically breaks the game for you. The hint shows to tap the stone head up over a doorway after I placed the stool to get up there. Appunwrapper says to get a feather from the stone head. I have tapped 100 times, all over the head, and it will not zoom in as shown on Appunwrapper. So it’s impossible to continue the game. You touch the right feather but the one next to it lights up. ### 2/5 — Ok - lots of glitches *2022-03-29, version 2.1* I really liked the artwork, but it was pretty glitchy. It was difficult to tell what objects were at times and your inventory doesn’t tell you when you click on them. Some of the puzzles were hard to understand what you were supposed to accomplish. It does give you the option to skip if you can’t figure it out, but if you do that it doesn’t show you what it was supposed to be, you just go to the next scene. Instead of saying “oh, of course” when I needed a hint, I just had to shrug and move on because I never would’ve gotten some of these things. At one point you needed to get a flower, but pruning shears were not the right tool for some reason, you needed gloves instead. Just odd quirks throughout. There was one puzzle that was a color pattern repeat game (like that old game Simon), but it was hard to hit the colors very accurately and you had to start over if you hit the wrong one, even if it seemed like you touched the right one. Just a lot of little glitches that made the game less fun. I think Fire Maple does a better job of putting the whole story together and showing clues when you can’t figure something out. Overall an ok game, good not great. ### 2/5 — Too glitchy to play *2021-06-04, version 2.1* I should've paid attention to the other reviews. The feather puzzle misfires nearly every time, even on iPad. Sluggish graphics and weak story make this absolutely not worth the effort. (Similar to Fire Maple and Syntaxity) The background music was peaceful and pretty...almost meditative...encouraging the player to slow down and enjoy the experience. Yes, it’s on the shorter side of length and less than 20 locations. And for seasoned adventure players, on the slower and easier side. But IMHO, it was well worth the time and $ spent. The story is quaint. The artwork is steam punk meets mythology and the soundtrack was lovely. The puzzles were a fun mix of fetch and memory as well as mechanical. It is a very good game for a few bucks. I’m glad I can upgrade it because of bug fixes and the removal of ads. This is an imaginative game with imagery quite different from any other games I’ve seen and things don’t always work as I expect. I’ve been enjoying a number of tablet based adventure games and I like this one for it’s uniqueness. I hope others will look at the new version, with ads removed, and see what an enjoyable game this is and re-evaluate any negative reviews.
