I haven’t gotten that far into the game yet, but I like it. I may update my review later. Update: I found one thing that I don’t like - if you forget to get an item that you need to move forward in the game, you can’t go back to get it. I had to delete the game and start over again. I think you be able to go back in the game for an item that you missed without having to start over again. ### 4/5 — Fun puzzle but needs research *2019-09-23, version 1.0.0* This was a fun game with no glitches. But I wonder who puts it together and whether they have read any history books or even fashions through the ages. One character had a hairstyle from the 1700s while most period clothes were the 1800s. But the American flag had all 50 stars on it and that didn’t happen until the 1900s. Sometimes in the HO games I know I found the object but couldn't pick it up. I'd either have to tap it a bunch of times or use the hint button then it would work. Some thing with using objects. This game, (even on beginner level) are very difficult. With the missing object games, I found that when I picked the correct item (to find) my choice is wrong, then when I hit “skip” it’ll go to that item as the correct choice. This happened MANY times. I buy these games for the hidden object element promised. There needs to be more of them within the game and less jumping around from one scene to another. I’m not a fan of this jumping from one scene to another to the point of being total confused of where you are. And, as a woman, I find the “fix the machinery” scenes intolerable. Often found in these Big Fish games. I’m playing this game again with hopes that I’ve grown a smarter brain. Clever game! *2018-08-19, version 1.0.0* 5 stars for smooth gameplay, pleasing graphics, and a fun array of mini games, several which were new to me and not a variance of games seen before in so many other HOAs. Especially enjoyed the checkers, flotsam, and starfish-in-the-gears games. I'm still chuckling at the minds who imagined those! Funny, guys :) I replayed them thrice. No glitches found here. *Update: 8/17/18 Still very playable. Map wasn't much use, but all the rest was dandy. Souvenirs were clever... kept me smiling. Nicht überragend, aber ok. ### 3/5 — Seems a bit disjointed *2016-04-08, version 1.0.0* I've only played the game for approx half an hour so far but to me the game seems a bit disjointed and not flowing. Im jumping from scene to scene to find one object then back to the scene I left to find another object and then back again. After I'd built up the harpoon gun, wondering what it might be used for, I clicked on the ladder to the doctors office two times with the harpoon gun, not thinking that a harpoon gun would be used in that situation in reality.. I used the hint button and hey presto, the harpoon gun was the item to fetch the ladder down. This I found annoying as I'd already clicked twice with no response from the game. I'll carry on for a short while to give it chance, if not I'll be uninstalling it. Very annoying and not easy to get a refund. I love puzzles that make sense and can be completed in a reasonable amount of time but most of the ones in here did not meet that goal for me. Eipix has this little jewel, Burning Coast, where an apparent rivalry between chemists has caused one person to commit arson and infect a whole town with a bacterial infection. You were sent as a nurse to aid the female physician, Doctor Griffin. However, the assailant kills her, leaving you to help the Sheriff get the patients and healthy residents to safety. Games are fun and interesting. You are collecting glass snow globes in each scene. I enjoy the variety of locations (seaport, doctor's office, town square, steamboat, etc.) If you do not want to play Hidden Object games, there is a Match 3 alternative. A good Map with action indicators helps to speed your progress. Good Hint, Skip, and Information buttons.
