Mini games ranged from easy to medium, and there were some novel ones. Hops are list, silhouette and interactive. Globes to collect in each scene. Regarding the price, there are two listings of this game on the App Store, one with the “get” button and one with a straight price of $2.99. If you play the trial (get) one, then the price is 6.99. So play the trial, but don’t buy that one. Delete it and then buy the 2.99 one. Yes, you’ll have to play the trial portion again, or just buy the game outright to start with. I deducted a star for Eipix touchscreen sensitivity issues when trying to pick up an inventory item. That is a consistent problem with them. Otherwise, a great game! ### 3/5 — Take a Slow boat *2016-11-19, version 1.0.0* I have enjoyed previous Adventures in this series; However, this offering has very little to recommend it. Although the plot initially feels interesting enough, it quickly bogs down under its current own current, with repetitious HO's, stale puzzles, and mediocre graphics. There is no map, leaving the hint button for all transport. Placement of the tall lighthouse hint button causes frequent accidental striking of that area, as does the X on the top right of the screen, which is struck during zoom procedures. The game feels old and stale, and I found myself looking forward to its end. There is no lag between screens, and HO's are properly reactive to touch. The game is moderately short, although it seems longer because of its insistence on getting multiple portions of items before they can be used. Recommendation: Pass, unless you are desperate to something while you watch your grass grow in the winter. ### 3/5 — Ok but not one of their best *2016-07-14, version 1.0.0* I liked the story but the games were somewhat boring. The game wasn't that long (paid version) but made up for it in bonus game. Also it was annoying to continue to get the adds and popups after i purchased the game for $6.99. ### 3/5 — Just ok *2016-07-11, version 1.0.0* Game was ok, kind of tedious at times. I don't like this new trend of paying for the game upfront without getting to try it out first. Also, the prices have increased substantially. In this case, I didn't enjoy it enough to where I felt I got my money's worth. HOPs were really small to see, and you had to go into settings to see the interactive map, so that was an unnecessary extra step. Story was ok, gameplay fairly long, loads of HOPs if that's your jam. Overall, it felt like it was from a few years ago, could use some more development. ### 3/5 — Ok but .., *2016-07-08, version 1.0.0* Game was good, plot twists and turns, still had mystery but the words were tiny. Puzzles and HO's were mediocre, frustrating at times, frozen in some areas but able to push through. Money well spent! ### 4/5 — Froze!!!! *2016-07-03, version 1.0.0* Got to the end and you guessed it, the game froze. So now I deleted and started all over again. Very disappointed because I was enjoying this game immensely! Will review again once I get through the game. ****Completed the game after reloading. Good Hop(s) and the mini games were fun and challenging. Graphics were great and the storyline interesting. It was still a little glitchy but worth the sale price. Changing my rating from 1 star to 4!!! Also, the map was placed in a inconvenient spot. Thanks! ### 4/5 — Sea of Lies: Tide of Treachery by LynxMinx *2016-06-30, version 1.0.0* This was a good solid game, but it isn't getting a 5 star rating from me. There were 3 levels of difficulty, but you couldn't customize your settings. The graphics were gorgeous. Objectives were regularly updated. However, there was no journal and sometimes those of us who are older and don't play all the way through don't always get the full storyline. Loading was instantaneous between locations and there was a marked, if chosen, teleport map to transport you, located inside the menu. The game was not all that long, even with the bonus adventure. In each location you collect a sea globe. Inventory was labeled and there were plus items to assemble. The HO scenes did not have a lot of variation, but you could play match-3 instead. A lot of the puzzles were of the rotational sort, but I did almost all of them because some were actually fun and others do sharpen your logical skills. Dracyy, thanks for telling me about the mouse. It wasn't dreadful and I fed it and over and done. Naturally if it had been in my house I would have run away screaming at the top of my lungs, lol! The reasons I deducted a star were: no journal, length, and the fact that I prefer a map tab in the game as opposed to having to go into the menu.
