SEA-TAGS is an innovative electronic information system that helps in detecting man over board events. Simple and with no installation on board, the Sea-Tags app works with the Sea-Tags smart wristband. Crew members wearing the Sea-Tags wristband can be monitored with the app. Each wristband can be renamed inside the app to easily identify each crew members. In case of a man over board, the app will automatically save its GPS location at the time of the incident. It will then display the bearing and distance to go back to the last known position of the MOB. The Sea-Tags app can also send a text message to one or several cell phones if there is GSM coverage at the time of the incident. The app will also give information such as speed, GPS location and bearing of the boat. The Sea-Tags system is adapted to boat up to 50 feet (15 m) that are not made out of metal.
