Change it to All to show all depths and you will then see all the contours and depths greater than 30m. Looking at the Tasman Sea I can see contours out at 4000m and greater. I hope this helps? It’s excellent value for money and the developer is adding new functionality. It works and does way more than it says on the tin. Very good value for money ### 2/5 — Used to be good *2023-07-19, version 5.4.3* Downloaded the French charts a few days ago and there’s so much information missing. Bouys not shown, a large wind farm not shown. Completely useless. We have used the UK ones for several years and they were fine. We have now swapped to navionics. ### 2/5 — Does not work offline and not very well in Kwajalein, Marshall Islands *2023-05-28* They are very responsive via email. And they were quick to resolve one glitch involving the international date line. It seems to provide basic depth guidance with the $20 fee, but nothing like other navigation charts that I have seen (that cost a lot more). They do not have NOAA RNC charts for Kwajalein (which does have NOAA charts). The free version was useless for me. Still trying to figure out how to view more depth data. We have found that you were trying to sail a test route across the international date line ( +/-180) and this was causing the issue. This bug only affected routes crossing the +/-180 longitude and is now fixed with the latest version. We have also made the UserGuide and FAQ available offline as you requested. ### 5/5 — Wouldn’t sail without it! *2022-11-07, version 5.4.1* Love knowing what went buy in the middle of the night when anchored. And what’s coming by before I can see it! Catalina 380 Hull 123 ### 3/5 — Updating pain *2022-08-21, version 5.4.1* I’m a bit torn, but my rating is dominated by the difficulty (unless I’m missing something) of downloading and updating the charts. After you buy them you can’t just download them and go, but have to scroll around the country uploading them in batches, plus smaller charts will only download if you zoom right in. Even after a year I still find the odd teeny chart I’ve never downloaded. Now this is fine if you arrive at the place with an Internet connection, but less so otherwise if you don’t have a chart or have an old version. So IMHO needs a button to say “I don’t have a data cap please download all the charts I’ve bought” and another to update them… Spent several hours (!) today updating phone and iPad. Really had enough scrolling around and zooming in and out of a U.K. map for about a year… but bet I’m still missing a few. Rien de nouveau et aucune carte marine si on ne paie pas.De plus tout est en anglais. **Developer response:** Nous sommes désolés que vous ne soyez pas satisfait de la version gratuite de SeaNav. Toutes les fonctionnalités de navigation fonctionnent et il comprend des cartes gratuites pour le sud de la France et un itinéraire de démonstration à essayer ainsi qu'un guide de l'utilisateur en français. la nouvelle version est aussi en français. To make it even more misleading I can’t use the charts Boat Beacon which I already purchased from them. There was a link in Boat Beacon to SeaNav saying I could navigate with SeaNav and show AIS overlays on the charts. Although this app offers some great instruments and charts I don’t believe it’s worth all the money. In the US you’re looking at $20 a year just for the charts and that doesn’t include another $10 for the Raster charts plus another $10 for AIS instrument. It just keeps adding up. If you’re actually using it to Navigate the waterways good luck cause you can’t even zoom in enough to see if you’re inside of the channels. The person who designed this isn’t thinking about the Mariners they’re in it for the money! The app is free to download and includes a single chart covering the Solent, perfect for evaluation. If you're satisfied with the app, you can purchase additional charts for your specific regions. After testing several alternatives like Navionics and Savvy Navvy, I opted for SeaNav. The interface is intuitive, clear, and free from unnecessary screen clutter. Charts: SeaNav's UK charts are based on official UKHO vector charts, allowing you to click on charted objects to access bearing, distance, and other relevant information. The app also offers the ability to overlay Google Maps or satellite images for land areas not covered by UKHO charts, which is a particularly handy feature. Navigation: SeaNav provides two primary navigation modes: sailing to a single point or following a predefined route. You can easily reverse the direction of routes, making it simple to reuse the same route for both inbound and outbound journeys. NMEA Integration: The app supports NMEA data (including GPS, AIS, and Wind Instruments) via your local network using TCP or UDP network packets. This feature is especially useful for providing speed and location data when using an iPad without built-in GPS. Wind Instruments: SeaNav features a side panel that displays both Apparent and True wind information. Je le trouve fiable et fonctionnel et j’en suis très content. Je navigue en sécurité et je garde une tracée de mes sorties. I’ve been using SeaNav for about two years now, it’s a great app and very well suited to my needs on the water (principally inshore along the coasts of the Loire Atlantique and the Morbihan in France. It’s reliable and functional and I’m really happy with it. I can navigate in safety and keep a track of where I have sailed.
