## What is Seasonturn?

Seasonturn is a Chinese lunar calendar for families, made for the person who keeps track of everyone else. Lunar birthdays, memorial days and the 24 solar terms repeat on the lunar calendar, and school notices or clinic texts become events you approve, from a photo, a screenshot or a sentence. Includes a free Solar Term widget and shareable solar-term cards. AI features require a subscription.

Most of what you need to remember isn't yours: your child's school notices, your parents' clinic appointments, the family's train tickets and hotel bookings, a relative's lunar birthday. It arrives as group-chat screenshots, text messages, and voice notes — not as calendar events.

Seasonturn turns those into candidate events. Screenshot it, type it, or say it. The AI reads and suggests; nothing reaches your calendar until you approve it. No event is ever created or changed silently.

■ Built for how Chinese families actually communicate
School group notices, clinic reminders, ticket confirmations — the time, place, and reminder are extracted for you to check, not guessed at behind your back.

■ The lunar calendar is a first-class citizen
Lunar birthdays, memorial days, solar terms, and traditional festivals repeat correctly year after year — no manual conversion. Monthly lunar dates, such as the 1st and 15th of each lunar month, can repeat too. Works in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and English.

■ Suggest first, commit later
Every AI result waits in your inbox. Mistakes are recoverable for 30 days.

■ Yours even if you uninstall
Approved events are written to your iPhone's system calendar, so your schedule survives without the app.

■ You control the AI
Use on-device recognition only, without the cloud, if you prefer. Clear your AI processing history at any time.

Seasonturn — everything has its own season.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4 — 2026-11-04

- Got an activation code by email? Tap "Redeem Code" in Me > Trial / Subscription and enter it on Apple's redemption screen.
- New "Send Feedback" in Me > Other: report a problem or share an idea, with up to 3 screenshots and an optional email.
- If one sentence includes two advance reminders (say, a day before and an hour before), the candidate card lists them as "First Alert" and "Second Alert", and you can edit or remove each.
- When a sentence says "this week" plus a weekday that has already passed or falls outside this week, you're asked which day you meant before it's added.
- Calendar Sync now shows "Extra Events in iPhone Calendar": choose "Add to Seasonturn", "Keep in iPhone Calendar" or "Delete from iPhone". Renewing or editing lunar events also no longer overwrites changes you made in iPhone Calendar.
- Trial reminder cards are more compact, and a card that couldn't be recognized now has an "Ignore" button.
- Bug fixes.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-10

- New monthly lunar repeat: set the 1st and 15th of every lunar month in one go.
- When you say or type several things at once, the Inbox shows the full recognized text, and a date in the sentence applies to the items it belongs to. If that's unclear, you're asked first.
- Rate Seasonturn from Me or Settings.
- Shared solar-term cards now include an App Store link.
- Easier reading on large iPhone screens, with the calendar and the day's events side by side.
- Share a Lunar New Year card from the 24th day of the twelfth lunar month to the Lantern Festival.
- Bug fixes.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-01

Refreshed icon and solar terms
· Refreshed icon: a pressed ginkgo leaf on a calendar page, with the onboarding logo updated to match.
· When the Inbox is empty, tap its pressed-flower specimen (24 across the year) to open the current solar term: date, countdown to the next term and a card you can share. New free Solar Term widget (small and medium).

Capture and candidate cards
· The Photo option now includes "Take Photo": photograph a paper notice or poster and it is read straight into a candidate card. Photos are never saved to your photo library. Photos with rotation information are read in the correct orientation by on-device recognition.
· A card with no start time always shows "Time not set"; tap to set one. Choosing this week, next week or another day changes only the date, never the time. "Remind me at 7:30 tomorrow morning" creates the event at 7:30 with a reminder then. Placeholders gently pulse while a card parses and fields fade in; with Reduce Motion on, the placeholders stay still.

Edit, batch and undo
· Multi-select in search results now has "Move": pick a target day and the selected events shift together, each keeping its time; recurring and lunar events are skipped. Batch delete undoes as one; the undo bar after adding several cards has "Undo Some"; "This and Following Events" edits can be undone for 60 seconds; a failed undo tells you.
· Deleting a repeating series sends its single-event edits to Trash with it and brings them back together; single events you deleted stay deleted. A failed search prompts you to retry; once you confirm a voice delete, the event is deleted.

Dates, lunar and data
· All-day events, including repeating series, stay on their original day after a time-zone change, and while traveling you can delete or edit single events and change the end date. Lunar New Year's Eve is marked in years when the twelfth lunar month has only 29 days (for example 2027–2029); lunar events that fall on a day a given year doesn't have move to the matching day (the 29th when a month has no 30th, the same day of the regular month when there is no such leap month) and the event details explain why; lunar events in iPhone Calendar are not rebuilt in bulk when the time zone changes.
· After a reinstall or a new phone, repeating events are restored as one full series, and editing keeps the repeat rule in iPhone Calendar. If local data can't be opened you can retry, "Rebuild from iPhone Calendar…" or export diagnostics.
· With Increase Contrast on, secondary text and accent colors are clearer. The cloud-parsing permission sheet's "Allow" and "Don't allow, on-device only" buttons stay pinned at the bottom with Larger Text, and counts in the English interface use singular and plural forms as appropriate.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-24

New icon
· A brand-new app icon, with the launch screen and widgets updated to match.

Clearer candidate cards
· Every card now shows a Reminder row. No reminder is set by default; tap to choose one. If you said "remind me" or "10 minutes before", it is set exactly as you said, without a follow-up question.
· Birthdays, flights, meetings and bills get a one-tap reminder suggestion. Nothing is written unless you accept it.
· Words like "early morning", "evening" and "dusk" map to consistent clock times, read separately for start and end, so the "date only" default-time notice no longer appears.
· A holiday range in a screenshot becomes one multi-day all-day event, shown through its last day with the day count. If the time in the title disagrees with the parsed time, the card asks you first.
· On-device recognition pairs a date with a clock more reliably, for example "tomorrow, remember to take medicine at 7 pm".
· Voice input now shows the same notice as screenshots when the day's cloud quota is used up.

All-day and lunar
· Non-lunar all-day events (anniversaries, holidays) stay on their original day after you change time zones, and the month view, agenda, details, widgets and iPhone Calendar agree.
· Far-future mirrors of lunar events are no longer lost in years without that lunar day. Editing a lunar series keeps the original iPhone Calendar events instead of recreating them.
· Fixed all-day events stretching to two days in iPhone Calendar after an edit, and the clock staying at 00:00 when an all-day event is changed to a timed one.
· All-day events imported from iPhone Calendar display correctly in the month view and details.

Other
· The inbox date header converts the solar and lunar dates in the same time zone; batch delete understands "the day after the day after tomorrow"; the failed-import notice is no longer hidden behind the undo bar.
· The dedicated calendar is recognized by a persistent identifier, so renaming it no longer loses it; new installs name the calendar in the system language.
· Consistency fixes across the recognition diagnostics panel and other copy in all three languages.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-17

Lunar calendar and time zones
· Fixed all-day lunar events (birthdays, memorial days) landing one day early on devices outside UTC+8, such as in the Americas and Europe.
· Deleting "only this occurrence" of a lunar repeating event now removes just that occurrence instead of the same day in another year.
· Fixed a false "Missing from iPhone Calendar / View Changes" warning.
· Lunar labels in the inbox date header, search results and the widget now all follow the civil day in your device's time zone.
· The widget's "today" highlight and month-grid dates now follow your device's local day and re-read the current time zone on every refresh, so they stay correct after you travel across time zones.
· The empty-state solar term artwork is chosen on your device's local day.

Capture and parsing
· "明天晚上12点半" now resolves to 00:30 instead of 12:00.
· "明天晚上7点3个人吃饭" no longer reads the "3" as minutes.
· "大后天" now resolves to three days out.
· When a shared item fails to import, the inbox shows a notice at the top and keeps the content so you can retry next time you open the app.
· The candidate card's confidence indicator is no longer stuck at the lowest level.

Accessibility
· At larger text sizes, event details, series-edit confirmation and conflict resolution now scroll all the way to the bottom, and action buttons are no longer pushed off screen.
· At accessibility text sizes, the month view now pages with a horizontal swipe.

Other
· The trial expiration date and subscription state now update together, so a stale expiration date is no longer shown briefly.
