Notifications in Settings now lets you turn email on or off by type: events, promos and prizes, or news. The emails you need, like sign-in codes and warnings about your account, always come through. • Promo notifications can now be switched off. There was previously no way to stop them arriving. • Your personal QR now works at every event, not only when the host had turned check-in on. • Scanning a QR code the screen can't use now tells you what went wrong, instead of looking like the app had frozen. • A promo you won now tells you when it has expired, and you'll find it under History in Promos and Prizes. • Hosts can hand a promo over right after check-in, without finding the person again in a second list. • Photos from a Google sign-in are no longer blurry. • Photos you send in chat upload faster and use less data. • Your bio is only sent for translation if you allow it. If you would like to review the sign-up flow itself, any email address works — the app sends a 6-digit verification code to it. LOCATION The app asks for location once during setup, with an explanation on screen. It is core to the product: the Discover feed shows people near you and puts you on a coarse (~250m) map grid. Exact coordinates are never shared with other users — only approximate distance is shown. Location can be declined; the app then lets you set a search area manually. Automatic updates can be turned off in Settings. USER-GENERATED CONTENT AND SAFETY - Every profile and message can be reported from its own screen, and reports reach an admin queue. - Any member can be blocked, which hides them in both directions. - Members must agree to Terms before entering the app, and to updated Terms when they change. - Display names are filtered against a blocklist. - 18+ only; date of birth is required at setup and cannot be changed afterwards. ACCOUNT DELETION Settings > Delete Account, in the app. Deletion is immediate from the user's perspective, with a 30-day grace window to recover. SUBSCRIPTIONS Premium is an auto-renewing subscription via In-App Purchase. It removes ads and unlocks private event hosting. All content is otherwise free — there is no paywall on core functionality. ABOUT THIS BUILD 1.0.9 is a bug-fix release. It corrects sign-up buttons that rendered without their background, a date picker that reopened on every tap, and a text field that could sit under the keyboard.
