## What is Second Nature?

Second Nature is a flash card app for math facts: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. It's built on memory research. Hand your child the phone, tap Start, and they get a 20-card round that takes about 90 seconds.

The app picks every card from your child's answers. New facts come in when they're ready. Learned facts come back days, then weeks later, so they stick. If a fact keeps slipping, the app shows the answer first, then has your child type it from memory.

A fact counts when it comes in under 3 seconds. That's fast enough to know it was remembered, not counted out.

Subtraction and division are taught with their partner facts. Right after 7 × 8 = 56, your child might see 56 ÷ 8.

Two grids show what your child knows: addition and subtraction up to 10 + 10, and multiplication and division up to 12 × 12. Each square fills as its facts get fast.

The 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s are free. One purchase unlocks the rest of the tables and works with Family Sharing. No subscription.

No ads, no accounts and no tracking. Progress stays on your phone.
