Items are also limited to US-based restaurants and menu items. Also, no option to recommend new discoveries. ### 2/5 — Country of origin?? *2022-07-07* I had downloaded this app and found fast food restaurants that aren’t in my country. So I guess these food options aren’t available here in UK ### 2/5 — Outdated Recipes *2021-09-21* I downloaded this app for the sake of curiosity, and while I can’t speak for other restaurants I can surely state that the TacoBell secret menu is not at all accurate. We don’t “Lava” items. We don’t know what that is. We haven’t carried chili in years, so the chili burrito can’t be made. We also stopped making pico, and carrying salsa dip. It would be wise you check your app before sending customers to restaurants to waste their time with outdated information. -A frustrated TacoBell manager ### 3/5 — Meh *2020-12-21* This app has some fun options to learn about menu items. It’s mostly Starbucks drinks, but the couple of things they have for other restaurants are pretty good too. It’s not a must have app, but it’s not a horrible app either. ### 3/5 — Not really secret *2020-10-14* These items are not secret menu items, just regular items with a slight change to them if you ask. I mean the way to obtain them is correct but they’re not secret menu items. I would know, I work at Whataburger and one of the items was a regular menu item. Big Macs have only had one slice of cheese starting in early 2000’s. The description references two. ### 3/5 — Nice app if you know what a secret menu is *2020-03-01* Ordering a Dirty Chai from Starbucks is going to get you strange looks. Ordering a chai with extra shots of espresso isn’t. Most of these items were never officially on any menu. This app is definitely for those who have tried everything at their favorite restaurant and still want more. It seems like the author thought, “Hey! I know a bunch of Starbucks secret menu items. I’ll make an app about that!” and they just couldn’t figure out how to make it anything more. The other secret items are either discontinued or special order items that have nest names. If more restaurants were added I’d give it more stars. ### 2/5 — Decent little app *2018-10-24* While the app is educational, it badly needs an update. Dairy Queen now has the Peanut Buster Parfait & Banana Split Blizzard on the regular menu. ### 3/5 — Intrusive ads *2017-07-04, version 1.501* This is just a "neat to have" app. Had no problems with it until now. Beginning with this update, there are ads that pop up when using the "Back" function. Just need to have a finger ready to hit one of the top corners of the screen to kill them! Why the need for the ridiculous full-screen ones? Couldn't something a little more subtle work as well? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Worthless *2024-06-02* This app is extremely outdated and useless. ### 1/5 — This app does not work and these items do not exist! *2023-04-02* One time I went to Chick-fil-A in told the guy at the counter I wanted a buffalo crispy chicken sandwich. He looked at me like I was the craziest person in the world. I asked him if he could just add some buffalo sauce to the sandwich and he said that they would not be allowed to do that and then I could just take some buffalo sauce packet and add the sauce onto the sandwich myself. At other restaurants it’s the same business. They have no idea what you’re even talking about. The only way to make these menu items is to buy each item individually and assemble it yourself, which defeats the purpose of a secret menu. Also, a lot of the items listed here are items that are not even sold at the restaurant so therefore, you wouldn’t even be able to make it yourself, which again defeats the purpose of the secret menu. Perhaps, at one point in time these items did exist on the menu, and you would be able to buy items separately and assemble the item yourself thus making it part of your own secret, but still not really much of a secret menu. ### 1/5 — Nah *2022-01-03* Grabs a copy of your clipboard on startup. Stay Away! ### 1/5 — How to get staff to hate you; the app. *2020-10-24* There is no such thing as a secret menu. Hate to burst your tiktok bubble, but anyone who says “they have a secret menu” is a fool. Ask for any of these items with names that are on par with fan fiction, and the staff will roll their eyes so hard they will see their own brain. If you don’t want to wind up having spit in your food/drink, order it normally, and know exactly what goes into the drink/food and tell them. It allows you to keep favourite items together! ### 5/5 — Great resource, ad-free *2016-05-06, version 1.493* The trick is, not every employee knows about the secret menu items, so you just order as a customized menu item. This is fully spelled out in the app. For example, despite what a previous reviewer said, everything listed for 5 Guys is available, just not necessarily by name in the restaurant. So you wouldn't walk into 5 Guys and order a "patty melt," you'd order a grilled cheese and have them add a hamburger patty and whatever else you wanted. ### 4/5 — 🤨 *2023-02-22* Get this app, go to sonic, check out the fourth item.
