## What is Secret Notes & Bookmarks Vault?

Some links aren't for the browser everyone in the house borrows. The article you're not ready to talk about. The listing you're still thinking over. The page you'd rather nobody scrolled past by accident.

This is where they go: a notepad you have to unlock, where every entry can carry a web address of its own.

WHAT GOES IN
• Notes — a one-line reminder, or a draft you keep coming back to
• Bookmarks — paste a link and the entry opens straight to that page
• Both together — a link with your own notes sitting under it

HOW IT STAYS SHUT
• A 4-digit passcode you pick in here. Not the one on your Lock Screen
• Face ID when you'd rather not type
• The lock comes back the moment you leave the app. Nothing to configure

WHERE THE DATA LIVES
On this device and nowhere else. Entries are encrypted with AES-GCM before they are written to storage, and there is no server to sync them to. No account to create. No email address to hand over. Delete the app and the contents go with it.

Free with ads. One purchase removes them for good.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-05

The app is now called Secret Notes. Everything you have saved, and your passcode, stay exactly as they were.
The list has been rebuilt. A saved link leads with the name of the site, so links and notes no longer look alike when you run your eye down the list.
A new All / Notes / Links switch above the list shows one kind at a time.
The lock screen opens with the keypad already on it, so getting in takes one tap less. Face ID still runs by itself.
On iPad the bottom line of Settings was cut off by the edge of the panel. It fits now.

Permission prompts now explain themselves in your language.
