## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-02-13*

Don’t bother with this app. Following instructions to drag and drop seed plots into your garden does not respond. Tried adding plots, seeds, etc. Tried reloading the app. App is useless without this feature.

### 1/5 — Minimum Effort

*2022-03-27*

No real garden plants in here. Maybe if your garden is in your kitchen window, this will be helpful. Real people grow real gardens. This isn’t helpful at all.

### 1/5 — Nothing to it

*2022-03-19*

Doesn't even have the bare minimum of plants.
Deleted after only a few minutes as it doesn't even have half of my garden so it's worthless to me.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t even have cauliflower very few choice

*2022-01-20*

Only few vegetables

### 2/5 — More plants needed

*2023-10-20, version 1.1.0*

This would be a very helpful app but seems restricted by the choice of plants. It would be better if there was a custom option to add your own plant to the list and then can be placed on the plan.

### 2/5 — Seems great but can’t work on ipad

*2023-06-07, version 1.1.0*

This seems to have tons of potential and great information, but I can’t get the “add plot” function to drag and drop into the garden planning area on the iPad Air 4. I may be missing something obvious but can’t figure it out…

### 2/5 — Lacking seeds database

*2023-03-20*

The concept isn’t bad it’s just that there’s not a lot of seeds, outside the very basic ones you can buy from the market.

And they don’t have all the varieties that you can possibly get. Sure you can add a custom plant or a seed but it’s not the same. I’d prefer a large database before I put in all my data.

### 3/5 — Good concept, needs more fruit and veg

*2022-04-06, version 1.0.2*

It’s an easy planning tool for allotments which I liked but unfortunately there are just not enough fruit and veg on there at the minute to make it worthwhile. It needs a lot more.

### 3/5 — United States-centric app, easy to use.

*2021-11-29, version 1.0.1*

overall easy to use but can’t input zone info if you live outside of the United States … so not particularly useful for 95% of the world.

### 4/5 — not much variety

*2024-04-10*

i really like the concept of this app and it is easy to use. however, there are not many types of produce to choose from. specially if your planting a specific kind of vegetable. ex. no jalapeños which are totally different than an unnamed category of peppers. no flowers such as marigold to help distinguish where to plant in the garden.

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Custom layout

*2024-05-25*

The App is free . I like the custom icon. Place it in the grid and then you can label it as you want. I used to draw a diagram of what where and when. Now I plot as I go so as the seeds sprout I can update the app to better inform me of what needs to be done.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

### 5/5 — Awesome App - Brown Thumb Now Green!

*2022-04-25*

This is the most amazing garden app I have used AND ITS FREE!!! It reminds me when to water my plants and even if they should be planted next to each other or not. I could never keep plants alive before this the last few months. The app developers are also super responsive, I asked them to add a few plants to their collection and they did! Yay! Yay! Yay!

### 5/5 — Simple/Useful

*2022-04-11*

This is my first time starting a garden at home or even keeping a plant alive in general. Was able to use the app to set up my garden in my raised bed and start with a few plants. The companion system came in handy as I almost planted basil next to my mint but luckily it warns you. App is simple enough to use and has enough information to get started for beginners.

### 5/5 — Great for garden planning and upkeep

*2021-11-28*

This was instrumental in planning my spring herb garden appropriately. As a novice gardener, I feel like I’m making it up as I go sometimes. Subsequently, accessing information like the “bad companion” notifier and watering requirements in my garden screen were super influential to my plant placement and I feel much better about my plants’ chances for success. Can’t wait to get plants in the ground now!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2021-11-28*

I’ve been looking for a gardening app that fits my needs for a while and this definitely fits the bill

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2021-11-26*

Really easy to use and helps me remember to water my plants.

### 4/5 — Missing Vegetables and Herbs

*2023-04-02*

I like this app, but it’s missing parsley and asparagus. Please update.

### 4/5 — Interesting App but..

*2022-10-15, version 1.1.0*

It’s American.
Can’t input a Canadian Postal Code,
When it tried to find my Hardiness Zone it gave Message ‘unable to find your Zipcode.

But still useful info.
Giving it 4 stars even though Canadians are limited.

### 4/5 — Needs More Seeds

*2022-02-22*

Though the chart planning is simple enough; I am growing a few more seeds than what is represented on the chart. For example: you have squash, but not pumpkins; while some people may view them as in the same “family “ of plants, I don’t. Each seed should be individualized. I also am starting trees; apples and an avocado tree. Please add more seeds. Even oranges are different. A regular store bought orange and blood oranges, pear trees, and banana trees.. there should also be links available to multiple places on where we can get seeds for foods we want to try growing in our own back yards. With food prices skyrocketing, we want to be able to feed our families from the foods we grow so we’re spending less on groceries and able to pay bills or splurge on something else. We don’t need another 1920’s - 1930’s Great Depression; but the way prices are soaring (in my opinion) that’s where America and the world are heading unless we help our neighbors and go back to our roots of farming .
