### 2/5 — It’s not worth it to be honest.

*2023-09-19, version 1.7*

Having waited about 10mins to download on 5G all 2Gb of this app whilst enjoying the exquisite sights of The Eden Project, I can save you the hassle. It’s a bit clunky even on an iPhone 13 Pro. Nice graphics but not the AR experience I was anticipating.

App now deleted.

Thanks.

### 1/5 — Seeing The Invisible

*2023-01-27, version 1.7*

The worst app I ever used it lags,it takes 2gb from your storage and the 3d sightseeings are awful

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2023-01-15, version 1.7*

Brought the children for a day at the park with this and what a waste of time and effort. A 2GB app that doesn’t work. SMH.

### 1/5 — Adelaide

*2022-12-21, version 1.7*

Rubbish. Waste of time.

### 1/5 — Not working

*2022-09-15, version 1.5*

Will not display route can not use

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-09-15, version 1.5*

Downloaded it today was do excitedto see the art. But the app doesn’t show the route. Tried restarting, reinstalling, etc but still. Please fix this.

### 1/5 — AR Didn’t work for iPhone 8. Wife’s Samsung worked fine.

*2022-08-22, version 1.5*

iOS needs work

### 1/5 — Too slow , too difficult to use/enjoy

*2022-05-23, version 1.4*

Tried it in Florida at Indian Point …. Takes too much to get the app to recognize its at a viewing spot, then it also takes too long to load, and viewing the phone screen with sunlight around isnt very good either…. Cool idea, but it just was a waste of time and effort

### 1/5 — Didn’t work

*2022-05-08, version 1.4*

So slow to download and then didn’t work at all. Really disappointing.

### 4/5 — Try again

*2022-03-24, version 1.4*

This app actually works pretty well once you get the hang of it, it just takes a couple of tries. You do have to be physically located inside one of the twelve (yes, only 12) botanical gardens that are holding this argumented reality art exhibition. The app does have some glitches, or it could be due to your handheld device’s network speed. I do wish the app allows one to save the photos directly into my iPhone, so that I don’t have to take an extra step to send it to myself each time. I also wish it gives the option of video taping besides taking photos.

### 1/5 — Total Crap

*2022-02-28, version 1.4*

Go see the botanical Gardens without wasting effort on this poorly executed idea.

It is not worth the effort and the virtual part is a disgrace.

### 1/5 — Worst App ever

*2022-02-27, version 1.4*

No instructions. Spent half an hour trying to work out how to use app with no luck. All I saw was a map. Terrible experience.

### 1/5 — Wouldn’t try or bother

*2022-02-27, version 1.4*

Waste of time, doesn’t work just walk around to destinations with no function or art viewable. Great idea if it was functional and user friendly.

### 1/5 — Map only - the interactive idea doesn’t work. Waste of time and data .

*2022-01-08, version 1.4*

Frustrating with no instructions how to work at each point. Waste of time and no trouble shooting available.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I don’t get it.

*2024-01-29, version 1.7*

This stuff is too funny I don’t understand

### 1/5 — Very ill performing application

*2023-07-11, version 1.7*

Barely works, you cannot access the invisible art if not in the exact correct spots which are often different from where the signs say they are. Once scanned in the app becomes very glitchy and the whole experience is quite underwhelming

### 1/5 — Seeing the invisible used in Adelaide botanical gardens

*2023-06-26, version 1.7*

Thought this would be great app but it just showed the test and then moved into the map. There was no reset and by accident I found how to
Reconnect twice only so all in all saw two virtual art exhibits out of at least 12. Feel sorry for the artists and the consumer
Was left very disappointed.

Clumsy problematic and a failure

### 1/5 — Hard to navigate and not using camera

*2023-04-25, version 1.7*

This app doesn't even use your camera. It is only based on your location. Would be better if it was actual AR.

### 1/5 — Terrible fix your game

*2023-04-20, version 1.7*

Horrible please don’t download the app it doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2023-04-12, version 1.7*

When after much difficulty we got the app to work (at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens) it was a disappointing experience. We had a vision impaired child with us and would have appreciated an audio dimension to the experience. This would have enhanced it for everyone especially for artworks incorporating musical instruments.

### 1/5 — Waste of time and data.

*2023-04-02, version 1.7*

Waste of time. When it finally downloads 2Gb. It’s not even any good!

### 1/5 — Shameful

*2023-03-25, version 1.7*

Given the potential for this media to showcase art installations in a creative and innovative way, the designers/programmers should be ashamed of their efforts.

Not only does the app continually glitch/not work at all, but the artists also lose out on showing their work to a broad and eclectic audience.

What a wasted opportunity; with the developers no doubt also accessing arts funding that could have been better utilised/spent.

### 1/5 — Απαράδεκτη εφαρμογή

*2023-02-19, version 1.7*

### 1/5 — Bad App

*2023-02-15, version 1.7*

Followed the instructions but never could get the first picture deleted so that every other site for invisible art showed the original pic. Clearly flawed!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2023-09-27, version 1.7*

We used the app today at Adelaide Botanical gardens. It was a little slow to download, but the overall experience with the exhibitions was fantastic. Took a few minutes to understand how to use it, but it worked flawlessly after figuring it out. Great experience.

### 5/5 — Seeing the invisible

*2023-09-23, version 1.7*

No problem with the app. Amazing experience

### 5/5 — A lot of fun

*2023-06-10, version 1.7*

It did take a bit to get it working, but that might have been me. It was a lot of fun, the art works are spread along a path through the gardens they are by different artists and offer different experiences. There is also audio and you can walk inside the art also to a different world. I think it would be more fun for 2 people.

### 5/5 — Works pretty well

*2022-06-21, version 1.5*

Use of AR is pretty cool.

### 5/5 — I loved this!

*2022-04-22, version 1.4*

This park was so fun to visit. It was very family friendly. There was defiantly some walking. We saw a butterfly house with a very friendly associate that helped us. The images were very cool. They were awesome and everybody really enjoyed them. The people were all very nice. I hope you visit!

### 5/5 — Fantastic and fun!

*2022-03-20, version 1.4*

We thoroughly enjoyed looking through our device at an empty space only to see a piece of art appear out of nowhere (seemingly.
A nice walk on a pretty day in a pretty place!

### 5/5 — Great demo

*2021-10-10, version 1.2*

It’s wonderful experience if you take a moment to figure out how it works. You have to walk on top of the map marker and then tap “Establish Artwork” and then place the artwork. Could have done a better job of explaining that, but rewarding otherwise.

### 5/5 — Amazing experience!

*2021-10-03, version 1.2*

Used this app to check out the Seeing the Invisible Exhibition at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh with some friends this afternoon, and we had a wonderful time!

Using the app provided a really unique and memorable way to experience the Garden. I’d never experienced an AR exhibition before, but the app’ made it really easy to follow the trail and take in the Garden and it’s collections in a whole new way. We specifically visited to ‘try out’ the exhibition and are really glad we did! (It’s also really fun to see other people try and figure out what you’re doing!).

Would recommend!

### 5/5 — Take photo crash

*2021-09-30*

Sep 7- first version. Using the take a photo option is not working. Take a photo, then share, then save photo, crash the app and reload is required. Take screen shots instead.

Sep 30- version 1.2 fixed the share photo issue! Awesome! The app works very well. Sometimes need to walk around the perimeter to get a proper position and load the AR. Loved the experience.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2021-09-28, version 1.2*

Fantastic use of AR and a fun day following the map and viewing all the AR exhibitions. Some really awesome and inspiring work!

For those having trouble viewing make sure you’re right on top of each location then you should get a pop up to view the AR. Certainly doesn’t deserve the 1 star ratings!!!

Having said that a slightly more explanative onboarding would help. I saw and helped a few people who didn’t understand how to make it work
