I have since upgraded to an iPhone 14 Pro. It seems to connect but there is no image on my phone as if it’s not really on. App is also so buggy I’m starting to think it was created by Bethesda! Every 2 seconds you have to reboot the app because it has inverted the view so moving your phone left moves the image right. Rebooting the app solves this for 2 seconds than comes back. Randomly changes your view from 16:9 to 4:3 as well. There is no guidance how to fix this and no support email to contact. ### 2/5 — Embarrassing Performance *2024-11-23, version 2.2.8.0* I finished a wiring job on a new cabin today and performed some electrical load tests, using the Seek Thermal Compact I bought maybe six years ago for numerous thermal images important to the quality assurance of my work. I was using an iPhone 13, which shouldn't have been an issue. But the Seek Thermal app crashed so many times that I lost count! So if you see a growing chorus of complaints about this app, it might be a good idea to take both notice and corrective actions. Junk returning sleek thermal pro. ### 1/5 — Solution to make Seek work *2024-11-05, version 2.2.8.0* I own an original Seek Thermal Compact with Lightning connector and like many of you we’re not only disappointed by the unit no longer working on newer iPhones but the lack of support by the company. I have finally found a workaround to get the unit working on my iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 18.1. Go into your iOS System Settings for the app and turn-off “Cellular Data” in the settings. These are the settings in the System Settings, not within the app software. You have to open it a couple times to make it work and then once it recognizes the camera it may take a few minutes for an image to show up. I have a Seek Compact that i purchased last year, when I emailed for support they told me it was manufactured in 2017. Anyways when I connect the camera to my phone the app will recognize that I have a Seek Compact plugged in but the screen stays black. I read the other reviews and someone mentioned they tried turning cellular data off and trying again, unfortunately for me this did not work. ### 1/5 — Will not connect *2025-05-16, version 2.2.8.0* App does recognize when unit is connected to iPhone 12. I got it to connect for 5 minutes after rebooting, then nothing. Unit works fine on old iPhone 7. Data transfer and charging works fine on the iPhone 12 but this does not. I was forced to update the IOS version on my iPhone 7 to use iTunes. Yeah there is a learning curve with the SW but it’s not hard to figure out by either looking online or just experimenting. It takes pictures and videos and has a choice of color palettes. (I like the grey scale because it’s easy to interpolate in post processing) Note I’m an experimental physicist / electrical engineer and have owned several versions of these cameras.
