Tous les supports sont en anglais comme les détails des planètes et autres.. et surtout pas de mode paysage pour l’i pad!! C’ est vraiment très gênant et gâche mon futur projet d achat chez Seestar je visais le futur 50 pro et du coup je ne suis plus sûr du tout . ### 4/5 — 4K *2026-05-07, version 3.1.2* I wish selecting 4K was easier to select and would stay on once selected until turned off. The UX is generally great. UX Improvement: allow the user to toggle LP filter, exposure time, and setup framing before the camera moves to the selected location. Otherwise, the user must cancel after getting to the object, make the selections, and then hit record again. After balancing and calibrating EQ mode with the current app version, I am routinely getting 40% stack rates while all of the others are rejections. Online, I’m seeing a TON of other experienced astrophotographers complain of high rejection rates all of a sudden just like me. I’m using a high end latitude wedge (Move Shoot Move). ### 5/5 — Latest Alpaca Update *2026-01-21* Firstly, I have to say that I love your product ( I have the S50) and the very active development that you all put into the firmware and software. However, in this update you mention an Alpaca update - 1.2.0-3 - with a URL to find out more. Unfortunately, the website requires a log in / account and, yet another, app to download. Please could you add update details to your support page? I really don’t want yet more apps and accounts! ### 5/5 — Annoying Update *2026-01-15* The first clear night in weeks. In the field, just after sunset, I got a forced firmware update. It has been setting at 0% for 20 minutes. The iOS app is stuck in a constant firmware update cycle that prevents user from changing any settings (such as disabling station mode). Very embarrassing situation and teen kids unable to have a good first experience with Astronomy. ### 3/5 — New version with ads is annoying *2025-12-23* The new version added ads to the screen telling you to go buy a Seestar. I don’t get it. I already bought one, which is why I’m using the app. I would think everyone using the app already has a Seestar (because it doesn’t do much without one), so the ads are pointless and just serve to annoy. BEWARE!!! *2026-08-07* You’ll need to give these individuals your blood type and I’m not even going to get started on the ‘WE DEMAND YOU CREATE AN ACCOUNT IN ORDER TO USE THE THING FOR WHICH YOU JUST PAID OVER £700!!! And when you try, the screen keeps resetting so the whole process has to start again - and again - and again - AND AGAIN!!! JFC!!! Make these sharks end!!!! ### 1/5 — Most Recent Update Destroyed My Seestar S30 *2026-06-04, version 3.2.0* My Seestar can't find or track objects now. I've calibrated the compass several times, set polar deviation, nothing works. Thanks for a year of fun and two months of frustration. ### 1/5 — Stop taking over audio and playing video *2026-04-28* Still takes over audio so no other apps can play music, podcasts or steam when the Seestar app is in the foreground. What a stupid thing to do. ### 1/5 — Updates Continue to Break Scope *2026-01-26* The last two updates have turned a $500 telescope into a paper weight. The update to v3 added adds to the app and made images unusable with the amount of noise introduced into the Fits files. The current update has made it impossible to track/ stack files due to tracking errors on frames. Many other users are experiencing the same errors and SeeStar keeps brushing off the errors as no big deal even though the product is effectively useless. They will not provide a way to rollback to WORKING firmware. ### 1/5 — Instructions are outdated *2025-12-26* Instructions are outdated and no option in advanced settings to save each frame. Therefore, sky stacking does not find any images. Even after check settings under ‘me’ and in all other settings. Why not have the option to update later??? Can’t use it at all. And without it can’t use the telescope. Tried on iPhone iPad and Android. All crash on startup. So I have a useless brick now. If you go into airplane mode, the app won’t crash, but it’s useless as it won’t connect to telescope. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-09-12* I’ve just spent over £500 for nothing! The app crashes immediately on opening. I’ve deleted and reloaded constantly. I’ve reset the telescope, I’ve done everything I can think of and nothing. There’s no factory reset and the supplier says it’s an app problem so won’t refund. I am not aware of a better software app for the SeeStar S30 Pro. I’m giving this five stars simply because I wow all my non astronomy friends. ### 5/5 — Improving nicely *2026-07-08* What would make this app perfect would be an AR overlay in SkyAtlas (similar to SkySafari) to plot obstructions when planning, and a “Time” feature to see where objects will be. It would also be nice to view RTSP streams for Stargazing/Deep Sky. Overall, the app has made a lot of improvements since I first started using it. ### 5/5 — Update 3.3.0 goodness *2026-07-07* I have been wanting a Seestar S50 since before they officially launched. I finally pulled the trigger on the S30 Pro last week. Having the better sensor made it an easy choice. My first experience with the app and device was OK, but I was getting disconnects nonstop despite being 3-5ft away. This new update seemed to fix the issues I was having. I also found that switching the WiFi on the S30 pro from 5GHz to 2.4GHz helped with disconnects as well. I cannot wait for the next clear evening to use this thing. ### 5/5 — Kometenfotografie *2026-06-21* Leider ein großer Schwachpunkt des S50, es führt nicht auf den Kometen nach, sondern auf Sterne. Der Komet wird zum Strich durch seine Eigenbewegung. Also dafür leider nicht verwendbar. Man sollte Seestar darauf hinweisen. Ich weis, es ist kompliziert, aber es lohnt sich!
