## What is Seld?

Seld turns your phone into a live audio guide for your group. Speak once — everyone hears you in real time, clearly, whether you are in a crowded square or a silent museum.

NO INTERNET REQUIRED
Create your own local Wi-Fi hotspot in seconds and broadcast without using any data. Ideal abroad without roaming, underground, or anywhere the signal disappears. Prefer to run online? Share a room code and listeners join from anywhere.

FOR TOUR GUIDES AND TRAVELERS
• Open a room in a few taps and share a numeric code
• Listeners join and hear you instantly — no radios or headsets to rent
• Watch your group arrive on a live radar
• Two-way voice: guests request the microphone and ask their question

MORE THAN VOICE
• Group chat with photos, voice notes, map links and locations
• Live polls to vote and decide together
• Approve, mute or remove participants as needed
• Spare keys let a guest join without a room code

BUILT FOR
Museum and city tours. Factory and site visits. Live translation at conferences. School trips. Silent tours in libraries and temples. Anywhere without cellular infrastructure.

Available in English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Arabic and Chinese.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.9.14 — 2026-10-04

Fixes for joining a tour and two-way voice.

- If microphone access is off, Seld now says so and points you to Settings instead of failing to connect.
- Retry works again after a session drops or ends.
- Guides can switch two-way voice on and off during an online tour.
- Listeners muted by the guide stay muted when two-way voice is switched off and on.

### 2.9.13 — 2026-10-03

Fixes in this release:

- Fixed sign-in getting stuck when a previous session had expired.
- If the voice server is unreachable, or you decline microphone access, the app now says so instead of appearing to connect.
- Starting a new session soon after ending one no longer leaves the microphone or the connection in a bad state.
- Ending a session now reliably stops everything it started.

### 2.9.11 — 2026-09-23

Fixes in this release:

- Clearer wording when the app asks for your location, so it is plain that turning on location sharing sends your position to your guide while it is on.
- Offline Mode tours now stay on the local network as described: a saved tour no longer uploads its chat messages or photos.

### 2.9.10 — 2026-09-22

Fixes in this release:

- Fixed a problem that could leave listeners hearing nothing for a whole Offline Mode tour. Audio now switches to a connection that works.
- With two Offline Mode tours running on the same Wi-Fi, listeners could hear the wrong guide. Each tour now stays with its own group.
- Guides can see who is having trouble hearing: anyone whose audio is breaking up is flagged and moved to the top of the list.
- Listeners can share their location with their guide, so a guide can find someone who has fallen behind. Off until you turn it on.
- When someone leaves an Offline Mode tour, the guide now sees who left, when, and where they last were.

### 2.9.9 — 2026-09-21

Fixes in this release:

- Joining a nearby offline host is more reliable. The app no longer gives up on a host that is slow to answer, or that it briefly fails to recognise.
- When a session cannot be started, the message now says what actually happened instead of blaming your Wi-Fi.
