So many good perks, totally worth it!!! ### 3/5 — Great Benefits/Dated App *2019-08-06* SELECT has always been wonderful to their members, however I am often met with confusion when trying to apply a discount at a restaurant with some managers having no idea what SELECT is or that their establishment has a partnership... Also, the app has not been updated for compatibility with the newest devices (i.e. iPhone X) and so the display is funky and the app will often crash. Perhaps with a design update, more effective partner communication, and maybe the adding of a Siri shortcut to send a message to the concierge then this would be a 5 star app! ### 4/5 — Not enough restaurants in Chicago *2019-01-15* I’ve noticed there aren’t enough restaurants in the Chicago market I’ve been with SELECT for a couple months now and I haven’t seen any study Growth for restaurants. In the thing I noticed is they barely have events in the Chicago market. I wish they had an option for select members to become ambassadors and Host events for members. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — This is a scam. *2025-10-21* I normally would consider myself a fairly astute, estimator products and services. Particularly when related to travel and luxury services and items. But admittedly, I was taken in by the admittedly, convincing advertising and marketing of this reported exclusive service. Being a member and owner of several high-end travel credit cards, such as AMEX platinum and Chase Sapphire, along with other premium airline memberships and elevated status for multiple other travel outlets. Here’s what I can tell you about this… This is a complete scam. There is no real value here, you cannot directly book any reservation for any restaurant any hotel or any other travel accommodation… You must go through the concierge, and then they reply to you, and in every single instance where I attempted to use their service, they provided no added value from offers. Anyone could readily find online for the respective sites or travel entities, and much less the service provides much less advantages than even a very modest travel credit card or membership in airline status much less the higher-tier offerings. There is literally no added value to this service. Stay away. **Developer response:** We’re sorry to hear Select wasn’t a fit for you. To clarify a few points for future readers: members can instantly book over 800,000+ hotels directly through the app or site without contacting concierge. Our VIP hotel amenities program and restaurant partnerships currently involve concierge to ensure preferred benefits are applied correctly, and our average response time is under 5 minutes. Regarding partner offers, while it’s inevitable across 1,000+ brand relationships and 1.3M+ locations that occasional overlapping promotions exist, our team continuously negotiates preferred rates and added-value amenities that are typically not publicly available. We also expand and refine benefits across all categories each month, and regularly remove partners when we identify stronger options for our members. We’re sorry your experience with concierge didn’t meet expectations. We review concierge conversations regularly to improve speed, clarity, and outcomes, and will re-examine your case internally to identify any areas for improvement. After entering our information their app changed the date without our consent. We received an email with the incorrect reservation date. Their customer service did not cancel the reservation. The least they should have done was to get us the correct date! They couldn’t even do that. DO NOT PURCHASE it. I’ve tried using the perks and their links for travel books like car rentals, but when I go through the process I come out with the same exact rates I got publicly. Plus, the “concierge” links all go to non-existent pages. There’s no concierge or anyone you can talk to. I really don’t recommend this. ### 1/5 — Very Cleaver *2018-03-31* You don’t find out about the three hundred dollar membership fee until you input all of your information. They ask for all of your personal info including where you went to college, income and employment as well as how much money you make. Once I logged in there was NOTHING for my city (Tampa, FL). They only support 18 cities for 95% of the offers. The ones considered “national” are stupid things like movie tickets that have to be shipped anyways so you have no idea when you’ll get them or if they’ll work. They even pressure you to buy in bulk (for what reason, idk). This is pretty much a scam unless you live in those cities, they just make sure they take your money first before revealing this. While restaurants and events initially attracted me, the new member syndicate (for venture opportunities) is worth 10 memberships on its own. The other items I use regularly are hotels, particularly the VIP amenities program, I find they treat you like a celebrity at some properties + all the value added perks, the concierge and AI planning tools, and some lifestyle benefits like Pure Encapsulations, Ferragamo, and Superpower. And I still use restaurants occasionally, it was great to see Motek as a recent addition. Overall recommend. The hotel offerings are incredible. The mixed offering of VIP amenities and unpublished rates creates a stronger program than any I’ve seen and more than recoups my membership fee each year, likely 4X. The new syndicate offering by itself is worth many times the cost of membership as the access to vetted and otherwise inaccessible early and late stage venture opportunities is phenomenal. The remaining portions dining, lifestyle, and business are all valuable as well and the concierge team is nice to have. I needed to create an itinerary for my best friends bachelor party & after consulting with SELECT, they offered to handle the entire set up & spoke to various locations on my behalf ultimately booking a lineup of restaurants & venues where we just needed to show up!
