## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Cannot register

*2026-04-26, version 1.2.0*

Please help me to register.

### 1/5 — Useless as can’t sign up

*2023-08-09, version 1.1.0*

I downloaded this app to see if it was suitable for the young people I volunteer with. Couldn’t get an account as the sign in button wasn’t working despite completing all the fields on the screen and nothing to indicate what I had not filled in correctly so completely useless!

### 1/5 — Religion

*2021-07-26*

Along with the creators disregarding emails constantly, there’s people treating the app like some religious forum. These are kids who need help not something to put your religious ideologies into.

**Developer response:** Many thanks for the feedback. We are working to improve our monitoring and removing users who violate our terms of service

### 2/5 — Not helpful

*2025-02-23*

I can’t gain access to a therapist so I’m trying mental health apps for now. This one just isn’t good. Half of it is janky games that don’t do much, and the other half is links to outside sources you can read about mental health. It’s also very UK centric, not helpful for anyone outside the UK.

### 2/5 — Irresponsibly Unmonitored

*2021-07-03*

The “Social Cloud” is almost entirely children aged 12-15.

Many are genuinely interested in mental health improvement and are mature/articulate enough to be on an UNMONITORED platform.

Unfortunately there are also many with poor communication skills who just don’t know how to be respectful.

There was a lot of inappropriate behavior (verbal abuse, bullying) that only stopped once several users emailed the support team.

There are also some users who should not be on an UNMONITORED forum:

Those wanting to wallow in self-pity while having others enable their self-destructive habits and also drama queens seeking attention through exaggeration.

The other tools of the app are helpful, but are readily available in other apps.

**Developer response:** Many thanks for the feedback. We are working to improve our monitoring and removing users who violate our terms of service. We are working to recruit more active moderators to ensure the forum is a safe and healthy space for users.

### 3/5 — Stumbled on the app somehow !

*2026-04-03, version 1.1.9*

I’m new to this app , I’m liking the features , it would be good to have some categories for different things ie autism , health conditions and the mental health affects they can bring

### 3/5 — App no longer works on my phone..

*2023-12-09, version 1.1.2*

It’s a good app and a nice resource to have, I’ve used it on and off for several years.

However, for some reason the app is just not responding on my phone anymore? I try to open the app and it just closes itself back down.

This comes at a bad time for me, as I use the help to help record my thoughts and now I don’t have this resource available to me anymore.

### 3/5 — So

*2021-06-13, version 1.1.0*

So I know this app is designed for people to help others, but I wish there was a filter to separate different kinds of posts, or a moderation system. I saw a post made by a user, and it has caused my anxiety to spike.

### 4/5 — Helpful but chat advice should be followed with caution

*2023-11-27, version 1.1.2*

I used this app as part of a trial. I found the exercises and mood tracker to be very effective and useful. The chat function is good, but the character limit can be frustrating. Also I don’t know if the chats are overseen / moderated at all? My concern is people who are struggling could following advice that might not be the most suitable for their needs. I would conclude this is a great app to be used alongside other support by health professionals.

### 4/5 — Good, tiny improvements possible

*2021-08-20, version 1.1.0*

This can be a great app, and don’t get me wrong I really like it, it has really helped my anxiety, and is still helping. I definitely recommend it!

But there are a few small things, I personally am not a fan of the character limit of posts and comments, and the graph is a little to simplifies ( 5-6 options). I would personally prefer a graph system more similar to the previous app.

Again this is a great app, but just a few things that I thought I would put!

Thanks,

          Fairly happy user of SAM!

## Most praised reviews (3 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Picture Peace

*2024-12-08*

The activity Picture Peace was instantly satisfying. After a few “colorings” my daughter was able to breathe slower and deeper and articulate what she was feeling

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-07-14, version 1.1.0*

Great app, it has helped me with my anxiety

### 4/5 — Good but a few things could be better

*2021-06-06*

This is a great app and I love all the features in it! I do however think the 600 character limit in the social cloud is a bit small. Otherwise I think this app is great!
