## Newest reviews (17 of 262)

### 2/5 — Could be better

*2026-08-26, version 16.8.0*

I much prefer the older version of the app. Simple things like the daily movement figure now doesn’t have a neg or pos sign. Overall though it could be better.

### 3/5 — App is good. Trades are pricey

*2026-07-28, version 16.6.0*

Good app etc however, just can’t compete with the free ETF trades on other platforms.

### 2/5 — I HATE the new app.

*2026-07-23, version 16.6.0*

Bring back the old app. It was intuitive. The new app has too much information jammed into one screen. I am so over it! Bring back the old one. It was easy to use.

### 2/5 — Room for improvement.

*2026-07-19, version 16.5.0*

The delay in releasing the end of year statement for tax purposes is an issue for me. My tax is ready to go and has been for over a week (at the time of writing this review), except for still waiting on the Selfwealth statement. The other trading platform I use was able to get the statement out within days of the 1st July. In this electronic age, there’s no excuse for such a delay!

### 2/5 — Two Steps Forward

*2026-07-17, version 16.5.0*

Each update improved the many issues in version one of the new App. However, most recent now had an extremely irritating moving banners right below your portfolio summary. It is very distracting with no way of getting rid of it.
F it off!

### 4/5 — SW

*2026-07-10, version 16.5.0*

I am very happy with the excellent service provided by SelfWealth

### 4/5 — Latest update saved it

*2026-06-26, version 16.4.0*

the latest major updated has made a massive difference. the ability to explore stocks and auto invest are much needed features

### 2/5 — limited trading functions

*2026-06-16, version 16.3.0*

really difficult trade when you don’t have enough buy limit options

### 2/5 — Don’t update

*2026-06-15, version 16.3.0*

Latest update has annoying popup ads plastered in your face every time you open the app. Way to annoy your customers Selfwealth

### 1/5 — WTF

*2026-05-29, version 16.2.0*

The point of this app is buy and sell shares. You do not have an individual button/ page easy access to buy and sell.
Dumb.

### 1/5 — New app is a fail

*2026-05-28*

SelfWealth is an amazing platform but the new mobile app is a fail. Should’ve just reskinned the previous app. Despite releasing multiple updates with new functionalities, the app is still buggy (rotate through currencies on the home screen changes the currencies but shows the wrong currency stocks in the list below; viewing price alerts freezes the app), they’ve overcomplicated the interface (having better data does not mean having a better experience - tone it down, the UX is terrible) and they’ve removed a key mobile feature (ability to view personal notes). All of which has been shared with them in an attempt to help improve. I’ll happily change this review when you get back on track.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. We are aware that a small number of customers have an issue with the currency switcher and we will be releasing a fix soon. We have heard the feedback on notes and are planning to add this to the app again soon, with all previous notes accessible. We value feedback like this so we can understand what features we can improve.

### 1/5 — Used to be fine, now so much worse

*2026-05-28, version 16.2.0*

Please just put the app back to the way it was before you started messing with it. It was 100 times better .

### 4/5 — Things are looking good

*2026-05-28, version 16.2.0*

New features are starting to look promising .

### 1/5 — New app is awful.

*2026-05-18, version 16.1.0*

QUESTION #3:
Where / How / Will I see “cum dividend” / “ex dividend” status on this horrible merry go round of insanity on this nightmare new and constantly changing app? 🤯

QUESTION #2:

I only use the app. I don’t carry my goddam computer with me everywhere and investing is an agile activity. WHAT CENTURY ARE YOU LIVING IN???

If, (as per your response to my 1st question) NOTES are still available they must be in the app. WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY? I WANT ACCESS TO MY PREVIOUSLY MADE NOTES NOW. HOW DO I ACCESS THEM IN THE APP RIGHT NOW??? I CAN’T FIND THEM.

Please put them BACK in the stupid effing app you wrecked and provide specific instructions as to how I can access my previously made notes IMMEDIATELY.

QUESTION: Where are the NOTES I made to various stocks in my watch lists??? I can’t find them in this new awful dog’s breakfast. If you have deleted them I will be FURIOUS.

New app is awful, not intuitive. Can’t see what i need to see and compare in a glance. Why did you destroy a good app? This is devastating and will ultimately result in me leaving the platform.

### 1/5 — New Layout No Good

*2026-05-15, version 16.1.0*

Sadly the latest update ruins the experience. The portfolio view doesn’t show purchase price as default, and I cannot get the sort function to work at all.

### 3/5 — Good but not great

*2026-05-14, version 16.1.0*

Does a lot of what I need it to do, but not everything that I want it to.

The main feature that I want is a smarter ability to auto invest. I want to be able to tell it ‘every time my brokerage cash hits $XX, I want you to invest in the ETF that is furthest from my target weighting’.

That way I could set up the bank auto transfers and then set and forget.

At the moment, the auto-invest feature is very basic ($XX invest weekly/monthly in an individual share).

$9.50 per trade seems fair to me, but Pearler is offering $6.50 and also offers the feature I listed above.

So if we don’t get the auto invest rebalancing feature soon, I will switch across.

### 3/5 — Hate the changes

*2026-05-14, version 16.1.0*

I hate the changes to the way the portfolio information is displayed. I want to see the current price and the price I payed - why can’t I see my purchase price anymore. I hate the random info I don’t want to see when I can no longer see the info I do.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worst to use

*2026-08-12, version 16.7.0*

Old version was a million times better, get that back.

### 1/5 — Complaints

*2026-07-19, version 16.5.0*

I have made a number of complaints via email non have been answered it’s taking weeks to sort out the issues

### 1/5 — Old app was great, stop changing it

*2026-07-18, version 16.5.0*

SelfWealth “by syfe” is going backwards fast. Shame they keep messing with it. Just leave it be!

### 1/5 — The new app shows Selfwealth is trying to become a social media company

*2026-07-15, version 16.5.0*

The portfolio tab should just display my portfolio, not news and announcements for companies I have no stake nor interest in, or the “Similar to your interests” section to try to drive engagement. You are not a social media company, so stop trying to shove anything you can to make me stay on your app.

Update July 2025; Just received a notification on them pushing some kind of share bundle, even though I had turned off push notifications in the app settings. I have turned off notifications for this app in my phone settings to stop this spam.

### 1/5 — Become useless

*2026-07-07, version 16.4.0*

Beware taking money out can take weeks

### 1/5 — Get your marketing out of my face

*2026-07-07, version 16.5.0*

so over updates for security and performance that add advertising to the centre of the interface

i don’t care that the ads are for features offered by the company the app is for, you all are going to find (hopefully sooner than later) that people object strongly enough they will migrate to competitors who have more respect for the user

### 1/5 — Advertising

*2026-07-01, version 16.4.0*

The new app update is a huge step backwards. A non-dismissible advertisement now takes up around 20% of the Portfolio screen—the one screen investors use most. I opened a brokerage app to monitor my investments, not to be shown permanent ads. If you want to promote new features, make the banner dismissible. Please put users first and give us our screen space back.

### 1/5 — New app is a fail

*2026-06-12, version 16.3.0*

SelfWealth is an amazing platform but the new mobile app is a fail. Should’ve just reskinned the previous app. Despite releasing multiple updates with new functionalities, the app is still buggy (rotate through currencies on the home screen changes the currencies but shows the wrong currency stocks in the list below; they’ve overcomplicated the interface (having better data does not mean having a better experience - tone it down, the UX is terrible) and they’ve removed a key mobile feature (ability to view personal notes). All of which has been shared with them in an attempt to help improve. I’ll happily change this review when you get back on track.

### 1/5 — Internal error

*2026-06-11, version 16.3.0*

Can’t login

### 1/5 — Lost shares after merger

*2026-06-03, version 16.2.0*

Unlike other companies (CMC) which provide this kind of service (buying and selling shares). If the company you own shares in is acquired in a merger, they cannot and will not help you find the new share and likely won’t list it on the app if not held on the ASX. Be very careful.

CMC provided the new shares after a couple of days. Self wealths only advice is to call the American exchange. Sucks to suck.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Share App

*2026-07-28, version 16.6.0*

So easy to add money and buy shares. Investment plans also available.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2026-07-17, version 16.5.0*

Super user friendly

### 5/5 — A lot of information missing

*2026-06-24, version 16.4.0*

Please add Yield, Dividend and P/E values for stock as it is displayed on the website.

A company description would be also helpful to learn more before investing.

These pieces are all displayed on the website but are missing in the app.

### 5/5 — Great way to invest

*2026-05-14, version 16.1.0*

Very clear system, appreciate the updates to the app. Overall it’s been a seamless way to invest my money for many years now.

### 5/5 — Dar Mode!

*2026-05-13, version 16.1.0*

Yes!

### 5/5 — Very intuitive

*2026-05-13, version 16.1.0*

I use a bunch of different platforms for investing in AU and US stocks and ETFs and I find Selfwealth to be the most intuitive app out there. It’s just simple and easy to use, exactly what I want when I’m deploying my hard-earned cash.

### 5/5 — New Update is awesome

*2026-05-10, version 16.0.2*

Have been using SW since mid 25, prior to the facelift it wasn’t up to much but the new update has made it a pleasure to trade on.

### 5/5 — Many thanks

*2026-04-13, version 15.8.0*

It was great experience getting a prompt response from Selfwealth support team when needed.Thank you once again Blake

### 5/5 — New app changes

*2026-04-03, version 15.8.0*

Thank you for the ongoing updates to the new app. After the official launch I was worried that a lot of feedback from beta testing wasn’t captured, however with each subsequent update I can see more and more areas of feedback being implemented. Thank you for listening to customer feedback and working through these changes. I look forward to future updates.

### 5/5 — Why so many negative reviews?

*2026-03-23*

I’ve only been with Selfwealth for approximately the past six months. I started off mainly using the web browser on my computer and I decided to download the app so I could monitor my portfolio and do some minor research on the fly. At first I found that the app was quite hard to use and I did not like the layout nor the way the app handled. I checked on the App Store and saw that there were lots of negative reviews about it and it matched my experience with the old layout. I was then pleasantly surprised when the app received a full revamp and a new look with much better functionality. I found the app a lot easier to use, while looking a whole lot better and was perfect for what I needed it to do. Which of it is quite simple on my phone. I also found the withdrawal and adding funds on my phone was very simple and worked perfectly. I then came back to the App Store to see that all the reviews were negative about the new update and I just thought I’d put this review out there, because I think all the hate on this app is completely disproportional. Of course you might need to use the web browser so that you can see more things simultaneously, people should not be managing their entire portfolio exclusively via the app only. The new update works perfectly for it to use case and I think it is much better than it used to be and I’ll be staying with Selfwealth.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback and taking the time to share your opinion on the new app experience with others. We love hearing that you've found the new app easier to use for managing your portfolio when you can't be near our web app.
