There are a few people whose opinions I really trust but, but sometimes I need more niche advice (like for skincare, homeware, or gifts) which isn’t always easy to find in my immediate circle. I love Selleb because it gives me access to a broader community of second- and third-degree connections whose taste I can trust. It’s so intuitive to scroll through someone’s profile and see what they’ve actually bought. Best idea ever, and easy to use. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t access *2025-06-11, version 1.0* Caught in an infinite loop of asking for my email, trying to open the magic link, and the link not doing anything. ### 2/5 — Needs work. *2025-07-03* Definitely a neat concept; if I could use the app. After downloading, you’re forced to turn on notifications in order for the “notify me” pop up to go away. While you can go through iOS settings and turn off notifications, turning them off in the app renders the app unusable. I’m someone who does not like notifications, so this prompts an extra step for me to turn them off. I also fail to see why emails have to be forwarded, or allowing your app to scan my email for receipts. Users should just be able to load a screen cap of a receipt after removing any and all PII including potential tracking details, real names and addresses, last four digits of credit card details, etc. While the app may have “Read Only” access, this could open users up to potential security issues. I’d rethink the email only access from a security perspective before moving out of Beta mode. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! We've addressed the notification issue in our next build, so that popup will no longer block access. You are also able to upload receipts directly in the app, including from your camera roll, without needing to connect your email. For users who do choose email integration, we want to reassure you that we've completed a full security audit (required by Google), we're CASA compliant, and we don't process or store any personally identifiable information. All of this has been independently verified and can be found in our Privacy Policy.
