## What is Semantra?

Reach the hidden word before your opponent — using nothing but how CLOSE your guesses are in meaning. A fresh kind of word-guessing duel.

Type any word and see its HEAT (0–100): how semantically close it is to the hidden target. The nearer the radar's centre, the hotter. Related words link up into a living "constellation of meaning." Follow the heat, read the connections, and close in.

### 1.7 — 2026-08-21

・Added 1,132 new words, bringing the total to 2,665.
・Alongside everyday words, specialist vocabulary has been greatly expanded — medicine, law, economics, IT, science, engineering, agriculture, politics, psychology, education, linguistics, religion, art, music, literature, history, sport and more.
・Every new word plays in both Japanese and English, each with its own definition in both languages.
・Improved the accuracy of how words relate to one another. Categories that linked only loosely related words have been reviewed, so heat values and hints make more sense.
・Improved the answer's classification display: words that could previously only be described in broad terms now show their proper classification.

### 1.6 — 2026-08-17

Text input fix
Fixed an issue where the keyboard would close again immediately and no text could be entered, on devices using certain third-party keyboards (such as Shimeji).

Move counter
A round ends in a draw at 30 moves, so the move count is now always shown as "12/30" — and turns red for the last 5.

Better item clues
Meteor Search and Prism could surface words far too distant from the answer. Their reveals are now genuinely useful leads.

Black Hole fix
In duels, absorbed words vanished only from your own board. They now clear the opponent's board as well.
