But it hasn’t worked for last few months. I have to log in and out. And eventually that doesn’t work so I have to uninstall and reinstall the app again for it to work one time. Please fix. Please!!!! ### 3/5 — Was good *2022-05-17, version 3.6.1* As a seminary teacher I used this to track reading and attendance, it no longer works and gives me a link to the Web that doesn’t work for tracking my students attendance or reading. ### 3/5 — Needs a lot of refreshes *2022-05-12, version 3.6.1* In order to do my readings I have to refresh my home page 3-4 times to have my classes pull up. I also have too hard close the app to switch between classes. I then have to redownload it and log myself back in. Then in around two weeks it glitches again and the cycle repeats. ### 2/5 — Won’t let me log in anymore. *2022-03-28, version 3.4.0* After the recent update, it wouldn’t let me log in any more. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but it still wouldn’t let me in. Before I reinstalled the app, it told me J wasn’t registered for any seminary classes. ### 2/5 — Buggy *2022-02-28, version 3.3.8* App still has bugs that need working out. The app has frozen on me multiple times, making me close and open, or log out and back in. Then when trying to update my contact info for each child, it tells me to check my internet connection. There’s nothing wrong with my internet connection, but rather the app’s ability to sync with the website. Thank goodness I was able to go to the Seminary website and update each child’s contact information. The MySeminary website operates much more smoothly. Please work on making this app more user friendly, and for parent accounts, more parent friendly. Switching between children should be a breeze. ### 3/5 — It struggles *2021-11-19, version 3.3.6* It takes a long time to load or it just doesn’t load at all. It’s great for recording your seminay readings but it makes it hard to when it won’t load. ### 3/5 — Big Fixes *2021-11-10, version 3.3.6* I love this app, it makes marking scriptures way easy in seminary except with the last update my app has been really glitchy and I haven’t been able to mark my scripture reading. The app is fine until you go to mark the reading then it loads and loads and loads until it crashes. It continuously tells me that it’s not able to mark this is very irritating. I just got it this past month or so when seminary started back up, and it hasn’t worked well since I first opened it. It always says my attendance is 100% and my reading is 45%, even though nothing has been assigned, it doesn’t change when I mark my reading at all. Like I said, this app could be great, but needs a serious revamp. ### 2/5 — Only good for taking roll *2020-12-26, version 3.3.2* I’ve been trying to use this app for 2 years and no matter how many times I update or reload I can only use it to take roll. I’ve had 30 students in that time period trying to use it with varying results. Only a handful have been able to use it to track their reading. Why is it so erratic? ### 4/5 — Great, but can’t switch programs right now *2020-03-11, version 3.2.1* App has been great, but a recent update does not allow for teachers to switch programs to another program location. It seems like the update created a pop up window, specific to a program location, that can’t be switch out of now. Seems to crash with the new update when using a fingerprint login. Please help these bugs and return the usefulness of this great app. ### 3/5 — Needs some work *2020-02-26, version 3.2.0* I love the app because it’s easy for parents to enroll their kids in seminary, especially when we are at church and we can do it right then. However there are definitely some bugs to it. The new update won’t let me use Face ID, and it kicks me out. Before it let me. Another friend said it doesn’t let her use her thumbprint either to ID herself. ### 3/5 — Automatically shutting down *2020-02-26, version 3.2.0* I am a seminary teacher. Almost weekly I need to delete app and reload on iPhone X because when I click on app it loads then automatically shuts down with or without facial recognition. ### 4/5 — Authenticating *2019-12-27, version 3.1.2* When I open the app it says “authenticating” and stays like that forever, I kid you not, after a 90 min class and a 55 min free period it was still “Authenticating.” I have to delete and reinstall every 48 hours or so if I want to use it. When it works, it is INCREDIBLE! And makes my life as an institute student so much easier! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bugs, bugs, bugs. *2023-03-02, version 3.6.2* Bugs. Crashes. Trouble syncing. Sometimes showing no child registered. You name it; so many problems. By far the worst app on my phone. It hardly ever works right. I don’t understand why it has so many issues. Please fix. It’s hasn’t worked right for the 2-3 years I’ve had it. ### 1/5 — Won’t finish authenticating *2022-11-18, version 3.6.2* When I first installed the app it worked perfectly and I was able to mark reading quickly and easily, but now every time I open up the app it asks me to log in, and once I do it says Authenticating and never finishes, it’s annoying because I check almost every day and give it 15 min to load but it never does. I’ve un-installed the app and restarted my phone multiple times but it doesn’t make a difference. Please fix this. ### 1/5 — App development incomplete *2022-08-07, version 3.6.2* There is so much basic functionality missing that there’s no way this could have been finished before submitting to the App Store. You will see this yourself if you waste your time and ignore this review. Don’t bother it isn’t finished, you cannot do anything with this app. Zero functionality right now. ### 1/5 — This app is an embarrassment *2022-05-13, version 3.6.1* I am a seminary teacher and this app is an absolute joke. It works for the kids about 25% of the time—and many of the kids can’t get it to work at all. It used to work for teachers to take attendance (sporadically), but now that functionality is gone too. If you are a teacher and want to take attendance, the app directs you to the Wise2 website—but it isn’t optimized for mobile. So unless you have a PC—you can’t do anything. Hopefully the church gets its act together soon. The fact that it has been essentially non-functional for over a year gives the impression that seminary is not a priority for the church. ### 1/5 — A miracle if it works *2022-03-10, version 3.3.8* I don’t think I have ever opened this app and had it open properly. You sit on a loading screen for 10 minutes before giving up and just opening the website. If it does manage to work, it just links you to the website. I shouldn’t have to delete and reinstall and app every time I want to use it. ### 1/5 — Absolutely terrible *2021-09-05, version 3.3.3* Can’t make a new password without being asked to add more characters to it 50 times, and when I finally do manage to make a new password, it tells me that’s it’s incorrect and I can’t use the app. I’ve tried recovering my account through email, (which by the way, it won’t even send you a verification email). So then I moved to phone, which it won’t even send a text to my phone so I had to use my parents’ instead. It still tells me my password is incorrect when I reset it. Finally, I used the church record information and nothing works. It tells me that my newly made password is incorrect. This app is very poorly made and impossible to login to. ### 1/5 — Can’t Change Registration Status *2020-08-06, version 3.2.2* As I was registering my son, I reviewed the policies document and was kicked out of the app when I closed the document tab. I re-entered the app and my son’s status was changed to not attending seminary by the app, and I was unable to edit the registration status. This app needs more testing. I get a message to come back later whenever I try to change the registration status. ### 1/5 — Never works - it can’t be this hard! *2020-05-06, version 3.2.2* As a seminary teacher, this app is worthless because it never works. I’ve tried un-installing and re-installing many many times, so today I finally need to write a review. It worked most of the time last fall, but has been stuck on the readings page with no data for this whole semester. PLEASE hire some competent developers and get this back out into the hands of the seminary and institute teachers who need it EVERY DAY. You must clean the inner vessel! ### 1/5 — Frustrating.... *2020-02-24, version 3.2.0* When it works, it’s great. But that’s rare. I have to delete and redownload weekly. It works as a one time use, and then when you go to use it again, it won’t open. It does the password screen or face enabling screen then it closes out and will not open. Please fix this issue. I need to use this app on a daily basis because I’m an institute teacher. ### 1/5 — Home-Centered Gospel Learning is missed - Doctrinal Discussions could be the outcome *2019-11-10, version 3.1.2* The app suggests to provide an interactive portal for parents to their seminary students, but I see this as merely a tool to verify my sons are going to class and reading. I can ask them for that info! Why not present a tool that allows me to learn with my kids. It could be as simple as the teacher checking a curriculum box indicating the subject being studied. Otherwise, this app is a simple waste of time. I trust my kids to go to class, but deeper learning comes in discussion and this app could serve as a promoter of doctrinal touch-point discussions at home. Oh wait, I just realized the failure is the seminary teacher's and not the App! Half of us choose to follow God and put off the natural man, while the other half rebels and indulges in life’s temporary pleasure thinking it to be mature or brave.
