One suggestion: when I tap Search Subtitles, it should automatically start searching. Also, if a preferred subtitle language is selected, the results should show only that language by default instead of all languages. This would make subtitle selection much faster and easier. Also, the search function in All Media Library doesn’t return any results, even though my library contains matching videos. Apple already makes it intentionally difficult to use your own media server on Apple TV because they want you renting movies from them instead, meaning the system is constantly wiping temporary app files. A paid app like Senplayer should be built to seamlessly protect your login info from being cleared by these operating system sweeps, but it seems to save your configuration and network connection details in a somewhat volatile spot. In my experience, the app completely lost my saved server profile and required a fresh configuration. I will definitely be keeping an eye on it moving forward to see if this is going to be a recurring issue. UPDATE: I finally managed to get the app signed back into my account cleanly. I am bumping my rating up to 3 stars because, when it is actually connected and working, Senplayer is a genuinely great client with a smooth interface. If it can prove that it stays stable and keeps my server connections saved over the long haul without any more random deletions, it will easily earn 5 stars from me. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No family sharing available *2026-07-13* This is way expensive for a single user. ### 1/5 — Not working on Jellyfin v12 *2026-07-03, version 6.1.3* SenPlayer still uses the old authentication used by Jellyfin but they discontinued it on version 10.11.11. It was just added to the AppleTV 6.1.0 version of the app and it’s annoying because I only use SenPlayer’s “Record” module for my NAS video files. I never use things like Plex or Emby or the other types. I was just about to upgrade to the Pro version, but this update has removed a feature I use regularly. In Model Config → Options → Models, you’ve taken away the ability to hide “Main” and “Resources.” I don’t understand why this functionality was removed. If some users prefer the new setup, that’s perfectly fine, but why not keep the option available for those of us who want it? For many users, being able to hide those sections helps create a cleaner, less cluttered interface and makes navigation more efficient. Removing the feature entirely takes away a level of customization that some of us rely on. Also the letter fonts for folder titles flash and vibrate-like they are being shaken. Maybe it is a bug but it is not fun.
