I canceled and asked for a refund. They said it was against their policy. I think they stole my money. ### 1/5 — Ghosted-54 hours after payment, still no subscription *2025-09-06* I had been satisfied enough with the app a couple of years ago to try to use it once again, though they also charged me on the background for a renewal that I never used. To be fair, it MIGHT have been just my oversight in a predatory set up by them, so I decided to give it a go again because I never got to finished my initial “personalized” program. 53 hours after Sensa took my money, I have not received any link to activate my subscription OR any reply to my 3 emails whatsoever. Tried the Hello email as well as their contact form. In the meantime, I keep receiving their marketing emails to come back. I got two of those since the time the purchase went through my bank, which is SO annoying. Also, even though their communications say they are based in SF, CA, there was an international transaction fee from Lithuania ON TOP OF THE MONEY I PAID FOR THE APP ITSELF. They should warn of these things somewhere on their website. Incredibly dissatisfied with this process. I am going to have to get my bank involved. Save yourself the trouble. ### 1/5 — Scam and Predatory App!!!! DO NOT DOWNLOAD *2025-08-27, version 1.27.13* I downloaded this app back in August 2022 when I was desperate to fix my ADHD. When I realized this app is not that useful, I abandoned it. THIS APP DID NOT SHOW UP ON YOUR SUBSCRIPTION!!! THE DEVELOPER MAKES IT HARD TO CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION TO THIS USELESS APP. They probably capitalizes on the scattered mind of people with ADHD. Flash forward to August 2025, I saw that they bill me again for $72.94!!!! Who knows if they have been billing me for all these years while I never even used it since 2022. ### 1/5 — Why the CA Automatic Renewal Law (ARL) is needed *2025-08-11, version 1.27.13* Like many others here, I signed up for this app over 2 years ago, used it briefly, and then thought I cancelled it through the app store and took the app off my phone. My PayPal account still got charged 5 times every 6 months without reminders or consent. This is in direct violation of California’s Automatic Renewal Law (ARL) which states that annual reminders have to be sent and affirmative consent has to be obtained. Stay far away from this app! ### 1/5 — RIP OFF *2025-08-01, version 1.27.13* The app was useless. I cancelled it, but these slime balls keep charging me $110 through my credit card! DON’T DOWNLOAD THIS APP - ITS A SCAM. ### 1/5 — Fraud - Scam- Do not purchase!!!!! *2025-07-08, version 1.27.13* This app will keep on charging you even if you delete it. And then it’s impossible to cancel. I have been charged $98.94 since 2022 without being able to cancel this subscription. It’s a scam a fraud loophole. Do not fall for this. They don’t answer the phone nor emails. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!! ### 1/5 — Hate these people *2025-06-27, version 1.27.13* Was in Europe when they ran my card for $100 I didn’t reach out to them in time so they weren’t refunding me and are charging me for another goddamn year ### 1/5 — Billed me $500 in the background for the last 2.5 years *2025-06-01, version 1.27.13* This will not show up in your subscriptions in your iCloud settings for easy cancellation - I used this app for 6 days in 2022 and didn’t find it useful, but I apparently signed a 6 month subscription…which renewed every 6 months for the last 2.5 years. When I finally caught it and had to redownload the app to cancel, I contacted the app support and they offered to give my half my most recent payment back ‘as a goodwill gesture’. Thanks for offering me $50 back on the $500 you stole from me, you can keep it. Don’t use this app. ### 1/5 — DON’T DO IT!! -5+ *2025-05-07, version 1.27.13* Do not waste your time, do not waste your money, do not even download the app!! If you do the trial. They will immediately charge you, and they will never ever ever no matter what, even on PayPal or a program that helps you get your money back you ever get your money back don’t do it. Don’t try it. I canceled and STILL GOT CHANGED FOR A 6 month subscription!!!! I don’t know how to log-in or have the app. I don’t get any notifications and now I have another thing to look up. For someone who can’t afford $80 every 6 months on an app when there’s more important things that require money, I find it kind of ridiculous. How can it help someone when you’re taking all their money that they might need for gas or BILLS or FOOD? Personally I’m giving 1 star because it’s not fair that you can’t even explore the app and they’re asking for a chunk of money. ### 1/5 — Terrible customer service takes advantage of procrastinators *2025-03-27, version 1.24.0* Beware!! This is one of those stealthy/greedy apps that signs you up for a subscription OUTSIDE OF THE APPLE STORE. So if you delete the app (the app did not work for me at all) and you check your subscriptions in Apple, it WILL NOT SHOW UP but you WILL KEEP GETTING CHARGED. What’s more, they do NOT send you a courtesy email reminding you that your card is about to be charged - pretty lame. So I contacted them the day after my card got charged and informed them I hadn’t used it in a year, had long since deleted the app, and they said they have a no refund policy but ooooh they will go out of their way for me and offer me a 25% refund on my $100 USD 6-month subscription. Shame on them, but shame on me for falling for the scam. I think what bothers me the most is that this is an app for procrastinators - and they TOTALLY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FACT THAT US ADHD’ers tend to forget to do things like cancel subscription. If they really wanted to help us stop procrastinating, that would include being supportive around billing issues. STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP. Sucked into a trial, didn’t see any charges on my bank statements…UNTIL one email came through a year and a half after the trial! Instead of helping me with my attention and focus problems I instead feel like a useless failure. ### 1/5 — Fraudulent company — do not download. *2025-03-04, version 1.24.0* I signed up for a free trial in 2022 and used the app through 2023, when I canceled through Apple as per the terms of service. My card has continued to be changed twice a year and the company refuses to refund the charges in full and has offered only 25% refund, despite sending no email notices either before or after the charges. ### 1/5 — 0 stars not an option *2025-02-19, version 1.24.0* I haven’t used this app since originally downloading it, and I subsequently deleted it without realizing they would auto charge me in the future. This charge also did not show up in my apple subscriptions so I had no idea it was going to continue. They never sent any emails about a recurring charge and hit me for $100. They are offering to refund me on 25% and saying this is a special exception. The app was not particularly helpful which is why I didn’t use it. Could not be more disappointed with how they are handling this. ### 1/5 — Absolute Scam - Bills You Outside of App Store *2025-02-07, version 1.24.0* A straight-up scam. A completely worthless service that takes advantage of people struggling with their mental health. It is NOT free, you WILL be billed OUTSIDE OF THE APP STORE, even if you uninstall the app, and it is NOT cheap. I unwillingly paid these devils over $200 for literally nothing. Do not be tempted to start a free trial, no matter how desperate you may be for some mental health relief. Literally any other solution is better than this. ### 1/5 — Can’t set up account *2025-01-30, version 1.24.0* Downloaded app, answered all questions, provided email and accepted Ts and Cs—but “Get My Plan” button doesn’t work. The app is harder to cancel than a gym membership. I have tried 5 times. The charges keep happening. VERY FRUSTRATING! I wish my Dr didn’t recommend this app. Attempting cancellation may cause you to have a stroke. Very scammy IMO and it didn’t work for me. Thanks for the never ending aggravation when I see this charge go thru AGAIN. ### 1/5 — Targeting vulnerable People with ADHD *2026-05-06, version 1.27.13* Sensa targets vulnerable people with ADHD while offering a product and policies that clearly are not designed for how ADHD actually affects people. Sensa claims to help ADHD users, yet the app was ineffective, difficult to navigate, and provided no meaningful follow-up despite years of inactivity on the account. I stopped using Sensa shortly after subscribing in 2022 because the app simply did not work for me, but Sensa continued charging me for almost 4 years without my awareness. After multiple email communications, Sensa refunded only $45 due to their policy, even though the app had not been used. Sensa’s business model feels exploitative toward susceptible users actively seeking help. In my experience, Sensa does not deliver what it promises and should not market itself as an ADHD-focused solution. ### 1/5 — Charged $75 and I don’t even have this app *2026-02-24, version 1.27.13* Charged $75 in December 2025, haven’t had this app on my phone in years. No idea how to cancel since I don’t even have it or have an account. Thieves! ### 1/5 — SCAM! No refunds even when not used *2025-12-12, version 1.27.13* Do NOT make the mistake of signing up for this if you have ADHD. The app with basically worthless and doesn’t help at all but also they’ll rope you into a long-term subscription that you’ll forget to cancel (because ADHD duh) and they do not provide refunds EVEN IF YOU HAVE NOT ONCE USED THE APP in over a year. A scam. This app preys on people with a disability like me. ### 1/5 — Disappointing customer service *2025-12-08, version 1.27.13* I did not appreciate the surprise billing and not receiving any reminders before a billing cycle. They charged me $98 out of the blue, and I canceled and they will not refund me. So now I’m out $98 for a platform I can no longer access but paid for the next 6 months anyway. As you can see, I didn’t realize I was paying since 11/2022…. 3 years, app didn’t help ### 1/5 — Scam *2025-10-18, version 1.27.13* Check your bank statements! I cancelled the subscription in January 2023 and have discovered charges on my credit card of over $300 since. I had to cancel my credit card to get the payments to stop as disputing it with them was impossible. This company takes advantage of those with adhd they don’t help! Funny that they respond to all low star rated reviews but don’t offer to refund. They are clearly only out to make a buck. ### 1/5 — Predatory policies *2025-09-30, version 1.27.13* FYI: Sensa requires cancellation 48 hours BEFORE you are charged for a recurring plan, but does not send reminder emails beforehand. This is just another one of those apps and products marketed as help for ADHD that deliberately instate policies to exploit the population they are intended to serve. Your mental health struggles are just a cash grab for whoever’s running this thing. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Genuinely loved it *2025-11-05* I downloaded it to help with my ADHD, anxiety and depression. The app had helpful daily lessons that only took 15 minutes at most from what I remember. The art and graphics are unique and well done as someone who appreciates art. I will admit that I had problems getting an e-book I paid for, but someone got back to me quickly and I got it after like a day or two. As a psychology major, I do recommend that people still go to professionals, but the app definitely helps remind you to do things and has encouraging information. Would download again if needed. ### 5/5 — Love it but one bug *2024-04-08, version 1.24.0* Hi! I’ve been using this app for a while and love it. It’s become a healthy coping mechanism for me and every time I’m struggling, my first impulse now is to write it down in my mood journal. Also the whole design is very comforting. The only thing that annoys me at the moment is that the box to write my mood journal entry in does not expand when I keep writing so I basically have to type without seeing what I’m writing.
