### 2/5 — Great idea, doesn’t work for me without background refesh

*2021-04-26*

This app is a great idea and could be very useful for me to see my HomeKit sensor status at a glance. However, without background refresh, I have to open the app constantly to get the current data.

This means I never know if the widgets are telling me the truth unless I have just opened the app, which renders it almost useless. Dev, if you have the ability, please fix this.

### 2/5 — Update

*2021-03-24*

This is an update to my original review.

Originally I gave 3 stars because it had room for
improvement.

Dropped it to 2 Stars, for the fact that I have to open the app daily to get it to “refresh” the data. Isn’t that what the background app refresh is for.

The developer also reached out to me, and gave me a heads up they fixed the issue with the temp only showing in celsius, and that a few more sensors were added. Unfortunately garage doors or at least my garage door’s sensors don’t show up.

I’ve now deleted the app, and probably won’t be using it going forward.

**Developer response:** Hi, the temperature units have been fixed, as well as the dark mode backgrounds. Give it another go :)

### 2/5 — Fahrenheit Please!

*2021-03-15*

This is a good try but should have started as a Testflight beta to iron out the kinks. Not being able to use the correct temperature units results in apps that are… half baked.

**Developer response:** Hey Pete, please try the update, temperature should be fixed now :) Thanks!

### 2/5 — Top leider nicht ganz.*update*

*2021-03-10*

Tolle App.

**Developer response:** Hey, we have fixed a lot of the issues regarding the app data refreshing with the latest update, please give it another go. Thanks!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work at all.

*2026-02-13*

I think this is abandoned. I laid the $2 and got nothing. I can see my sensors but clicking them does nothing. Hasn’t been update in 3 years.

### 1/5 — Extremely disappointed in this app.

*2024-07-19*

First failure, it does not allow you to show the sensors embedded within the HomePod mini. They just don’t appear in the list. Second failure, when showing a Hive thermostat the value shown is the value the thermostat is set to heat to, not the current temperature. Really a shame because the widget design is top notch, but really not a good app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2022-05-22*

The widgets don’t update in real time. You have to touch into them, which opens the app, then close the app to see the updated information on your widgets. Even then information shown is not always accurate to what’s actually in the Home app. Don’t buy this.

### 1/5 — Schade

*2022-03-02*

### 1/5 — Abysmal Refresh Rate

*2021-12-29*

Nice looking widgets, but the refresh rate is abominable. For example, right now I have a widget that hasn’t been updated in 5 hours. The FAQ is mostly excuses blaming iOS for why refresh is so infrequent, but I have other apps which update in a timely manner, so I’m disappointed in this app.

*2021-11-15*

### 1/5 — Doesn’t show up as a widget option

*2021-06-22*

Probably a bug, but with it, the app does exactly nothing.

### 1/5 — Looks nice but sadly doesn’t work

*2021-03-10*

I like the idea and the look of the widgets. But unfortunately the data doesn’t update. Not even when I open the app and with background fetch privileges granted.

Unfortunately it’s just not doing its job. 🙁

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear that. We have worked on improving that feature for the past week, and now it's much better in the 1.1 update. Please give it a go and reconsider your rating afterwards :) Thank you!

### 2/5 — Missing Temperature and Humidity sensor data from HomePod

*2025-01-01*

The HomePods provide temperature and humidity data in the official Apple Home app.
Unfortunately, this data cannot be displayed in the widget, making it useless in my case, since I do not have dedicated temperature and humidity sensors.

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 4/5 — Belle application

*2022-05-05*

Bonne continuation

### 4/5 — Customize widget look

*2022-01-06*

Amazing effort!! Would love the ability to customize how the widget looks. Especially changing the 24hour clock to a 12hour clock, but why stop there? Lots of wasted space in the widget and would like to be able to modify it.

### 4/5 — Temperature sensors as widgets

*2021-12-22*

This app does exactly what I was looking for - the ability to display the temperature from an Eve Weather sensor as a Home Screen widget. In this respect, it does the job perfectly and I have no complaints.

Some suggestions to improve the app and make it 5 stars:

- Ability to display multiple metrics on a single widget. For example, Eve Weather has temp and humidity, so it would be nice to display both metrics on the same widget.

- Different sized widgets. Ability to have medium and large sized widgets to display data from multiple sensors in a larger widget. Only small is available currently.

- Display metrics in the app. The app asks you to open it fairly regularly in order that it can update the widget, fair enough, this is the way iOS works. But it would be nice if, when you opened the app, that you actually see panels with your chosen widgets IN THE APP. This would give you more reason to open the app and would be a nice little dashboard to display various different sensor data.

- Apple Watch complications. This would be awesome, the ability to add any sensor as an Apple Watch complication. There’s another app that does this well, Myatmo, but that only works with Netatmo weather data. SensorKit could do the same thing for all HomeKit sensors. Or at least those that make sense on Apple Watch, such as temperature.

I notice the app hasn’t been updated for 9 months, so I really hope it’s still being supported and the developer can implement the improvements suggested above to make this an excellent 5 star app.

Keep up the good work.

### 4/5 — Needs more features but nice app!

*2021-03-10*

Saw this from the Reddit post and I’m trying it out. I hope you roll out more features like switching between f and c temps and multi sensor widgets. I like the app and will continue to watch its development.

### 3/5 — Slow, and doesn’t seem to work at all on iPad

*2024-06-13, version 2.0.1*

The iOS version works fairly well, although updates are slow and often require opening the app to trigger.

I also installed this on iPadOS, and after two or three days the widgets have never displayed a value.

### 3/5 — Not bad so far, but very basic

*2021-06-09, version 1.1*

It’s a decent app that does what it says, however I didn’t realise how little it refreshes on its own. You need to manually refresh it regularly or else have data that’s hours old.

Also it would be great to be able to have multiple sensors per widget rather than just one for one.

### 3/5 — Disappointed

*2021-03-29, version 1.1*

Have to open the app for the widgets to update then return to Home Screen to view any information the app collects.

### 2/5 — Nice Simple Design But Got App Has Bigs

*2022-12-11, version 2.0.1*

This apps has a very nice and simple design which is what I was after. But the sensors readings don't update in the widget. I’ve tried to contact the developer but he does not respond either.
Don’t waste your time or money with the app unless the issues are addressed.

### 2/5 — Limited sensor support

*2022-10-04*

If you have a sensor that detects multiple elements like ewelink which tracks temperature and humidity the app defaults to one element only and cannot be changed.
