### 1/5 — Connection issue

*2023-11-29, version 2.1.6*

The app can’t connect to the product probably one year ago after a software update, it never got fixed until now.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work.

*2022-09-21, version 2.0.9*

Whatever you do the app resolutely refuses to pair consistently so you end up with a wonderful £3k+ toilet that can only be controlled sporadically.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work!!

*2021-10-08, version 1.3*

I hope , one day they fix it

### 1/5 — Connecting to app is a nightmare

*2026-07-29, version 2.1.18*

We have two sensor wash toilets in the house and you can only ever connect one one time to the app. Now I can’t connect any to the app. One of them also just ghost flushes on Echo wash every few minutes. And it’s costing a fortune in water totally unimpressed have done everything as advised by the technical team switching off the Power for 10 minutes. We de-scale regularly every three months manually and now we have these issues the app connecting to the toilet is not fit for purpose.

### 1/5 — Parts

*2026-07-17*

I was told I cannot order the descaling tablet and Duravit’s service partners cannot either. How do we order service parts?

### 1/5 — Always a Problem

*2026-07-02, version 2.1.18*

No matter what you try there is always a new problem and no one to give adequate assistance.

### 1/5 — Bluetooth terrible

*2026-04-03, version 2.1.18*

Connecting to Bluetooth is a game of chance with this thing.

### 1/5 — Does not work easily

*2026-03-25, version 2.1.18*

Very complicated to use. User experience is just terrible. I wish they would’ve done something better with this.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2025-09-16*

Does not work at all

### 1/5 — Won’t connect iPhone to toilet

*2025-09-07, version 1.1.16*

The toilet has a lot of nice features but many of them require using the app on your phone. The Bluetooth connection is difficult and fails to connect at least 9 out of 10 tries.

### 1/5 — No good, unreliable connection

*2025-05-13*

Horribly disappointing, keep unpiring the remote, battery dont last . Just wish to get toto

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-02-17*

Despite downloading, deleting, and re-downloading multiple times, I was able to get the app to connect to the SensoWash bidet exactly once, only for the app to lose its connection a minute after I set it up. I checked to ensure that I have the most recent iOS version (18), so perhaps Duravit needs to update their app, since it looks like it was last updated over three months ago (today is Feb 16, 2025). On top of that, the wash feature on the seat itself worked for exactly a week and now will not function at all. For $1500 (just for the seat!) it’s especially absurd. The app is also so poorly designed with multiple features that could be consolidated and what appears to be poor translation into English. Very unhappy.

### 1/5 — Pas facile à nettoyer

*2024-11-04, version 1.1.16*

Je trouve ridicule le mode auto nettoyage qui ne fait sortir qu’un petit jet d’eau…
Pas facile non plus de nettoyer les petits recoins à l’intérieur de la cuvette.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 4/5 — Sensowash App

*2025-01-28, version 1.1.16*

Excellent app - reason it didn't get 5 stars was a bit slow to connect to iPhone

### 4/5 — Simple app

*2024-02-15*

Simple, good app overall. Only thing that really bugs me is that each time I have to select „My device“ again. Would be great it the app just remembered.
Also would be nice to view/edit the pre-programmed settings from the remote, and get some stats.

### 4/5 — App needs some improvement

*2023-02-24*

The bidet is beautifully designed. The app needs some improvement. Descaling procedures do not work. The app should automatically connect to the bidet once the app is open instead of manually select the bidet. How many residential household have more than 1 bidet?

### 3/5 — Breaking connections

*2026-07-26, version 2.1.18*

Something or the other settings Keep changing & disconnecting wifi not as good a quality as promoted.

### 3/5 — Good but needs improvement

*2021-11-27, version 1.3*

Some bugs to work on:
- energy saving mode can’t be scheduled. The calendar shows up as all blank
- seat heating doesn’t stay on
- connectivity occasionally drops

### 2/5 — Slow & Flaky

*2026-07-04, version 2.1.18*

Slow to connect, even sitting on toilet. Cannot actually set anything unless in BT range. Took a lot of effort to get things set up including long call to engineer in Germany. Disappointed that odour extraction feature is now only available on flush plate (behind you!) or this poor app and not on the supplied Remote Control as was advertised. What are guests supposed to do? Apparently a production decision not communicated to reseller. Drying fan is controllable from RC and turns off when you stand up (good) - why can’t the odour extractor fan do this too ? Confusing interface for setting seat heating, I could go on….

### 2/5 — Company Management does NOT Use the Product

*2026-03-29*

If they did, they would realize the control for the toilet is very sensitive and not clear. They would realize it has not been engineered to prevent accidental resets.

Maybe managment is an antisocial lot: they use it, but they do not have house guests to show them how bad it is.

I have these 4 of these toilets throughout the apartment. I like them because of their design. However, guests don’t know what they do. The images are somewhat intuitive for the washlet function, but the seat heating is easy to turn off simply because it is not clear what the button does. Same for the spray intensity and water heat.

It’s like some software engineer put something out and was done with it.

My MBR has Toto, and that is intuitive. I stuck with Duravit as a retrofit for the other 4 toilets because that’s the brand that was already installed—either in wall tanks.

Hope someone reads this.

### 2/5 — Good when it worked

*2026-02-18*

After upgrading to the newest iPhone (17pro) my apps interface has basically stopped working. Only some of the function buttons are visible and the ones that are visible are not working properly. Prior to the upgrade it was working fine. Please fix!

### 2/5 — Oh good another App

*2025-10-05, version 1.1.16*

App and bluetooth do not connect. My smart toilet is stupid, as the features are now reduced and limited. Night light? In the app. Automatic lid lift? In the app. Manual wand clean to reduce the spread of feces from person to person? Only accessible by the app. The list goes on. Who benefits from these apps? Certainly not consumers who JUST WANT TO WASH THEIR JUNK without being crushed by technofedeulism.

### 2/5 — Often won’t connect

*2024-04-14, version 2.1.7*

I like the bidet and features but quite a few times it won’t connect. You can turn it on but nothing happens. If you turn the bidet off and on again it doesn’t fix the issue. Then randomly later it will be fine. If it only happened a couple times I wouldn’t care but it still occurs and it is very inconvenient.
