### 5/5 — SP

*2013-06-20*

Very simple app but thats what some apps need to be as covers the basics but being on ipad often keeps them motivated!!

### 5/5 — Really good

*2013-02-24, version 1.0*

My daughter has learning difficulties and really liked this app. The phonic pronunciation is very good (shame about the American voice/spelling) but we found the app a little short and quickly finished it. Would love to see an app for the next stage, please....

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2013-01-09, version 1.0*

The words are pronounced very clearly. It is a little confusing for my daughter at times and requires lots of parental involvement to use. The app could be better but it's not bad.

### 4/5 — OK

This is app needs consistency.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Too boring

*2012-12-19*

Should make it for four or five word sentences. Once child plays with it quickly becomes bored.

**Developer response:** This app been updated several times and now includes four, five and six-word sentences available through an in-app purchase.

### 2/5 — Nope

*2013-08-04, version 2.0*

This app could be great but it's not there yet!

### 2/5 — Use their others

*2013-01-04, version 1.0*

I agree with others that a learning app needs to be correct in grammar, spelling, and punctuation. I recommend others try their other apps this is the only one I have been disappointed with yet, the others are good.

### 2/5 — needs work

*2012-05-30, version 1.0*

Sentences have capitals and punctuation, and too many of these are phrases without either. The different colored letters are distracting and make reading difficult.

### 3/5 — Review

*2025-01-05*

OK, a little boring though my kids got bored after a while

### 3/5 — Subject verb

*2014-09-07, version 2.2*

The App is a solid idea, but there are errors in the subject-verb agreement in your two word sentence building. i.e. Jon reads not Jon read.
Hope you are able to make the corrections.

### 3/5 — Disappointed

*2013-01-17*

I was excited to find an app to help kids practice reading sentences. Once we started using it we quickly noticed that many of the entries are NOT sentences; "The big ox," for example. I teach reading for first and second grade. It's difficult enough for students to understand fragments vs. sentences. This reinforces an incorrect definition of a sentence. Call it "reading word strings," to be accurate.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your valuable feedback! No need to be disappointed anymore, as this app has undergone several major upgrades since your review and use of it. We understand the importance of clarity in teaching reading, and we’ve taken your comments to heart.

We aimed to provide children with the benefit of reading short sentences, and we initially included fragments or "word strings" as practice leading to full sentences. However, we’ve since removed all sentence fragments to enhance the learning experience. Now, the app only uses full and complete sentences.

In the latest version, we’ve also added two new sentence games and two new sight word games to further engage young readers.

We would love for you to try the current version and share your thoughts. Your perspective as a teacher is incredibly important to us, and we hope you find the changes beneficial for your students!

Thank you again for your support, and for taking the time to give us valuable and direct feedback.

### 3/5 — Ok learning app

*2013-01-07, version 1.0*

The app is pretty good for learning but the only thing wrong with it is that it can be very repetitive at times.

### 3/5 — ok

*2013-01-07, version 1.0*

good learning app but lacks something creative to keep kids learning more with it

### 3/5 — Quite good

*2013-01-06*

I have a few education apps similar to this one that are a bit better. But what I liked about this one is that the pictures really help the learner get into reading and teaches him while showing pictures, how to read correctly and good.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to review Sentence Reading Magic.

We're glad to hear that you found the app's visual aids to be helpful for your child's learning.

Sentence Reading Magic has undergone significant improvements since your initial review, including:

Grammatically correct, full sentences that accurately reflect the images.
Expanded sentence variety to provide a more challenging and engaging learning experience.
Improved image selection to ensure a better fit with the corresponding sentences.
Audio support for images: Children can tap on images to hear the corresponding sentence read aloud, eliminating the need for guessing.
Customizable Settings: Parents can tailor the app to their child's specific needs, including font choices, voice options, and other preferences.
An updated user interface for enhanced usability and navigation.
We hope these enhancements make Sentence Reading Magic an even more valuable tool for your child's learning journey. Please let us know if you have any further questions or suggestions.

My son has autism. I wanted to expose him to reading in a new way. Before your app, I follow the standards and created visuals. I didn't want another communication tool for simple needs.
