VIEW ENCRYPTED CLIPS (Tesla software 2026.20 and later)
Newer Tesla software encrypts every clip on the USB drive. Sign in once to the Tesla account linked to your vehicle and the app fetches the decryption keys, which are stored on your device so you are not asked again, even for other drives. Only each clip's small header is sent to fetch its key; your video never leaves your device.

ACTION CAM EXPORT (NEW)
Export your GoPro, DJI, or other action camera footage with Tesla telemetry overlays (recommended Teslamate due to the higher data sampling). Single Camera mode for clean video with HUD, Overlay Only mode for transparent overlays in professional video editors. Proper orientation handling for rotated action cam footage.

THIRD-PARTY DATA CONTROLS (NEW)
Fine-tune exactly what telemetry data appears in your exports. Each data point now has its own toggle: Battery %, Battery Range, Inside Temp, Outside Temp, Elevation, Odometer, Climate status, and Power consumption (kW). Toggles are gated per provider — only shows data your provider supports.

SMARTER DATA HANDLING
Provider telemetry from TeslaMate, Tessie, and TeslaScope now carries forward smoothly between sparse data frames. Battery level, range, elevation, temperature, and climate status persist across frames instead of flickering or disappearing.

IMPROVED HUD FOR PROVIDER-ONLY CLIPS
When exporting with only third-party telemetry (no embedded SEI), the HUD automatically hides elements that have no data. No more empty blinker triangles, gray FSD dots, or static steering wheels cluttering the overlay.

4K EXPORT SUPPORT
Export 4K dashcam footage with properly scaled telemetry overlays. Overlay elements automatically cap at 3x scale to prevent overflow. Fixed export freeze caused by incompatible export presets at 4K resolution.
