## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.4 — 2026-08-11

- Opening the app for the first time is quicker, with a simple welcome screen instead of a four-page intro
- The app now asks permission for notifications when you set them up, not the moment you open it
- Redesigned throughout: calmer visuals, a rebuilt Home, reorganised Settings, and far less wasted space on Drives, FSD and Charging
- Setup now happens in your browser instead of an in-app wizard, and the support chat has been removed
- The clip player has been rebuilt with a cleaner layout and more room for the video
- Improved the camera selection for clip playback
- Pinch to zoom into any camera while it plays, and drag to look around
- See turn signals, braking, and whether the car was driving itself
- Speed now matches the units you picked in Settings
- The player shows the time of day a moment was recorded
- Fixed the accelerator showing impossible numbers like 2000%
- Tidied up buttons that did not do anything yet
- Fixed the app dropping from Wi-Fi to Bluetooth whenever the Pi was busy processing drives
- Checking for and installing updates now works over Bluetooth, as long as the Pi itself has internet
- Updates now wait for the Pi to actually restart before reporting they're complete (requires Sentry USB v3.17.3 or newer)
- Logs load in pages, so Archive Loop finally opens over Bluetooth (requires Sentry USB v3.17.5 or newer)
- Pairing and test notifications are disabled, with a reason, when the Pi has no internet
- Drive rows show where you started and ended, and tag editors suggest tags you've already used

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-08

- Dramatically improved BLE speeds and reliability for Sentry Connect (Requires Sentry USB v3.16.8 or newer)

### 1.1.2 — 2026-07-12

- Live Activities are back and fixed
- Fixed push notifications not working on fresh installs and updates
- Clip playback no longer freezes on segments missing a camera
- Saving clips to Photos is more reliable, and cancelling an export works cleanly
- Large file downloads no longer crash the app
- Files with special characters in their names now download correctly
- Siri shortcuts warn you if their saved device was removed instead of checking the wrong one
- General reliability and bug fixes

### 1.1.1 — 2026-07-10

What’s New

A major update to Sentry Connect with a redesigned Activity experience, improved settings and connections, plus an all-new Clips tab.
• Activity now includes Drives, FSD Analytics, and Charging history
• View charging sessions, charts, costs, range added, and charging estimates
• Settings are simpler and better organized
• Improved Pi setup, Bluetooth pairing, Wi‑Fi connections, and password-protected Pi support
• New Clips tab for browsing, watching, saving, and deleting Tesla camera footage
• Clip exports can continue in the background
• Siri and Shortcuts support for device status, archive status, and opening app sections
• General reliability, performance, and bug fixes

### v1.0.8 — 2026-06-02

Sentry Connect — what's new

Settings is rebuilt. The Dashboard is faster and richer. A bunch of bugs are fixed.

SETTINGS
The old long-scroll Settings page is now split into 7 sections (Device, Network, Updates, Backups, Notifications, Privacy, About) — sidebar on iPad. Easier to find what you want.

New things in there:
• Display Units (°F/°C, mi/km) — no more digging through the Pi's setup wizard
• Tesla BLE feature toggles — telemetry and keep-awake
• Update channel selector — Stable or Pre-release, with auto-check
• Backup download and delete (was restore-only)
• "Send Test Notification" button
• Analytics opt-in — syncs with the web UI
• "What data is sent and when" disclosure
• Swipe left and right to move between sections
• New Speed Test with a live speed gauge — and it's a lot faster now
• Keep-Awake setting now stays in sync with the web UI
• A failed update check no longer gets stuck — just tap "Try Again"

DASHBOARD
• Updates every 4 seconds (was 30)
• Network throughput shown on Wi-Fi and Ethernet (↓ down · ↑ up)
• Fan RPM visible
• Wi-Fi signal bars back
• Pi name shows its unique ID (e.g. "Sentry USB-A3F1")
• Manual refresh button
• Keep-Awake and Away Mode cards hide when those features aren't set up on the Pi

DRIVES

We rebuilt the whole tab.

• Each drive is now a card with a map of the route, not just a row of text
• Drives are grouped by day — "Today", "Yesterday", "May 27"
• The date filter (Today, Last 7 days, Custom, and so on) actually works now
• The totals at the top (distance, time, FSD%) match whatever filter you've picked

Open a drive and you'll see:
• A big map up top with the route
• A scrubber right on the map — drag it to replay the drive
• Drag across the speed or temperature chart to see the values at any moment
• Start and end points with battery level and time
• Battery used over the drive
• Inside and outside temperature (when your Pi recorded it)
• FSD shown in green, manual driving in blue

FILES
• Quickly switch between drives using the strip across the top
• Cleaner navigation with a breadcrumb and sort menu

BLUETOOTH
• If your Pi was reset or reflashed, pairing used to hang forever. Now the app notices and walks you through forgetting the old device and re-pairing.

ALSO FIXED
• Test Notification button works reliably
• Drive locations show real place names, not raw coordinates
• Removed a couple of buttons that didn't do anything
• Drives tab and Notification History both load again (were failing silently)
• Bluetooth connection stays alive longer
• Fixed an issue with button widths
• Other small fixes
